Lattof YMCA Review

Really bad place, do not waste your money here. All they care about is who pays more.

Lattof is where my kids grew up...& had:/ took so many class... options & opportunities they would have never had otherwise. The pools the daycare( more space 14 yrs ago ) & trustworthy staff.Don Quinlan prime example... an immeasurable force for kids of all ages.and still serving kids 20 years later. Lucky to have him.

Both of my kids come here for classes during the week. One of them does climbing and the other swim lessons. Both are great learning experiences. Then instructors know what they are doing and are highly qualified. The facility in general is showing it's age.

I have been a member on and off since 2000. This is a really great option for a parent of a small child to workout while child plays in the playroom. Prices are very reasonable for people who work out at least once a week or who take advantage of the membership discount on classes. Great basketball class for my son (7) and the self-defense class looks amazing - going to try that in January with my daughter (13) and son (7). Facility is kept clean throughout the day. Staff is a little slow at times, but friendly. I sense they operate more like a community and less like a profit-focused business. It's a nice change!

Pools are constantly broken due to not being repaired properly. Corporate would rather have 6 figure pay checks than put some extra money into their pools that are falling apart minute by minute. These pools are actually a safety hazard. If there was any state inspection to be done, all pools would be shut down. Cockroaches everywhere, locker rooms old and not cleaned.

Very nice YMCA, with lots of options: steam room, sauna, a couple pools, cardiovascular room is in good shape. Couple different weight rooms sprawled throughout the building. Open shower with towel service for $1.00. Two different lounges with in the men's locker room as well as an area to practice your drives for golf. Open gym and separate gymnasium with the climbing wall and play are for kids. Old school, so facilities well used and some machines need more upkeep.

Everything about this YMCA is great, the group classes for adults and the kid classes (swimming, soccer, climbing) are excellent. The directors are friendly and truly love what they do and care about the kids. Any class or outing Don does is outstanding. My girls love coming here, it's like a second home for them. Let's not forget Summer Camp... #bestsummerever Never disappoints, the director Susie is wonderful. Birthday parties here are also a hit. Can't beat the Lattof Y.
