Larsen's Frostop Review

Every time we drive up through St. George we always stop here. The wait isn't long and the food is great!

This place is delicious HOWEVER beware when buying a kids meal and "upgrading" to a shake... it's almost $3 more. We were not told this and ended up paying more than anticipated getting them for our kids. The upgrade price should be $1.50 TOPS considering their shakes alone are about $3 and soft drinks about $1.50 which is included in the price of the kids meal. I'm extremely disapointed. Staff was very kind and helpful but didn't disclose the upgrade.

Delicious food! Friendly service that was timely, better than fast food.

The food is good but horrible service, they need an ADULT manager. It's been 50 minutes since we ordered our food on a Friday evening. It's now almost 8 pm multiple vehicles have just gave up and left with out ordering. We can't even get a refund to leave, employees just standing around. It's two hamburgers doesn't take that long. ..too add to this after 1 hour waiting and the truck next to us getting out and flagging down a 16 year old girl to respond to get his refund we got ours. Made it two blocks and realized they short changed us just under $4. We hadn't got a recite yet because of not receiving our food. The bill was $20.24. Not sure how you give $16.34.... Good thing some of us can count and check bank statements on your phone instantly. Had to go back and prove the amount. So glad a family fun night is now ruined and it's 8:30 before we can go else where for food.

Good hamburgers, great onion rings, awesome shakes(almost any flavor) must stop when I'm in St George

High price, decent food, not very clean. Once upon a time, this was THE place to stop and eat in St George. Not so much any more. Hand lettered cardboard signs have replaced a real menu on the wall. Tables were sticky, as was the floor. Food was average but for the quality, only the sweet potato fries were worth a rating higher than McD's or Wendy's.

Food is subpar 3rd time going thinking their food and ice cream would improve. Probably won't go there again.

Frostop is the place to go for cheap, quick food with an old style dining experience. I would recommend getting a glacier.

This is a great little car hop. Fun atmosphere and good shakes and burgers.

Classic mom and pop place. The food was fresh and hot. Don't miss the fry sauce with the tots or French fries. End your meal with a classic soft serve ice cream cone

Ate here while on vacation. Nice little stop. Little spendy for a burger but that s okay. It was good! Onion rings were awesome. Even thought they were busy the service was prompt. Could have been a little cleaner.

Went here today. I d been in the past and had great experiences, but today was off. The AC was broken, the staff was grumpy (maybe because it was hotter than hot?), and the overall appearance was unclean.

Our food tasted great! But we were disappointed in the prices. 3 chicken strips for $11 while a hamburger is only $2.99? Confused and disappointed that the chicken cost so much. We ordered a grilled cheese for cheap as well. In fact, two grilled cheeses WITH fries would have cost less than the chicken strips. Hoping this place cleans up its act because it s gone down hill and I used to really like it.

Today's experience was wonderful, although you were out of Diet Dr. Pepper. The carhop was on top of things. Very aware of customers and getting them taken care of quickly. That means so much to me. There are times when carhop employees don't work efficiently and recognize customers in a prompt manner. I know they are young kids and need a few tips on better service which would be good reminders for them from time to time. The girl today did an excellent job. Thank her for me.

We love the Piccadilly chips! And the customer service has always been good.

Great menu selection, their burgers are some of the best in town. Staff is friendly and service is fast.

One is our favorite local restaurants. Try the glacier frozen treats, they are delicious.

Love bringing my family here. We come here often. Great staff and food. The last time we were here they fudged our order a little, no big deal. But they made it right with no problems. Thank you guys. I'll keep coming here.

Great atmosphere & customer service was on point. We even purchased a couple t-shirts.

My husband loved his burger, the tater tots were cooked perfectly (crispy!), and my caramel malt was delicious! Fun little place! Hope to be back some day.

Overpriced, long wait, poor service.

I waited ten minutes (not bad wait time) for an $11.00 meal of 3 thin chicken fingers and burnt picadilly chips (I ordered fries). Upon bringing this to the attention of the employees I was yelled at by the manager with no offer to replace the side with fries as I initially ordered. When I asked for a refund, the manager continued to yell at me, telling me I was wrong and that I didn't know what I was talking about. He told me he'd be happy if I never came back- well I guarantee that I will not ever go back to Larsen's!!

Local shop and it's as good as any hamburger shake shop you will find. My burger was amazing! Definitely worth the stop on your drive.

Wouldn't have tipped if I knew before hand I'd have to wait 30 mins to recieve a burger and fries.

The food was ok, but nothing super exciting. There were a handful of employees at the registers and there were only two in the kitchen. The front made our shakes right after we ordered and then they made the rest of the food in the kitchen. It took forever for the burgers and fries to come out. And they wouldn't give us our shakes until the burgers were done. By the time everything was ready, our shakes were half melted. I can see a lot of potential, but as it was right now, I wouldn't recommend the place.

Old fashioned drive-in feel. Food was excellent, quality you would hope for from this type of establishment. Give the tezzers a try. Rootbeer freeze was also top notch, and the kids enjoyed the dipped cones.

Absolutely ridiculous. These guys took 56 minutes to get my order out on a Saturday night. Their excuse was you ordered a specialty burger . They had a guy that looked like he was 12 as the manager. What are the owners doing?! They need to manage this place or find an adult who can.

Only had the Picadilly Chips and they were incredible. The fry sauce is delicious too. Highly recommend getting it!

Food is great. Keep in mind it's not sitting under a heat lamp so it will take a minute to get your order. It's totally worth the wait.

You can usually have a great experience here. Get the queen burger with grilled onions. Get the kids corn dogs or the corn dog grill cheese combo. BOOM.

Havnt updated the decor in 40 years which makes it the perfect retro drive in/diner. Great food. Try the glacier for a ice cream experience you'll never forget.

Best fish and chips in town and the Glaciers are extraordinarily refreshing in the St. George heat.

Frostop is a St. George classic. I get Picadilly chips (battered, fried potato chunks), a pup (amazing corndog), a queen burger, and a rootbeer freeze, and it's always great. It's a must stop for every trip to/thru St. George.

Not worth the price or the wait and the mildew smell in the bathroom doesn't do much for one's confidence in cleanliness. Overall, very disappointing, save yourself and pass this place up.

Favorite childhood stop when we come to town to visit

The food is typical for a drive inn restaurant. The pricing seems a bit steep for the quality you are receiving, but this also is expected from a drive-inn. My wife really wanted to eat here out of nostalgia from her teenage summer trips with her family down to Saint George. Even she agreed after eating here that even with the limited offerings in the area, there are better places to eat.

One of my favorite places to go when we are in St. George. Always good food and friendly employees.

Excellent cheeseburgers, fries, grilled footlongs! They have been here for years, always stop in...they remain consistently great! Quality beats regular fast food chains!

I've always loved this place. Their "glaciers" (soft serve ice cream and slush) are awesome and they have tons of flavors. It's kind of like Sonic, but better.

Just okay food for the price. The restaurant was clean and the staff were nice, would be nice to have the fountain drinks up front for easy refills.

Food is okay. Our order took a long time to get to us. If you want an old-fashioned drive thru experience, this place is great, but there are plenty of better burger options around here.

One employee taking orders. 20 people looking to order, yet only one employee taking orders and multiple employees staring through the window outside like the guy taking the customers orders is the dummy. Very disappointed

We were greeted by a cheerful nice young lady presumably from Africa. She was delightful and took our order at our car. They were quite busy and the food took maybe 10 mins. Apparently the Hawaiian burger takes longer than other things on the menu. The food was beautifully packed in a to go tray. We also ordered the pastrami burger, two Princes and the Piccadilly Fries. The food was frankly so so. Tastes were alright. The fries were way too greasy - possible cooked in oil that s too low of temp for whatever reason. A little too much bbq sauce on the Hawaiian burger. All the burgers were ok. We loved the classic look and feel of the restaurant. The food looked great too. Just the taste was a bit underwhelming.

It was a mixed bag. Jalapeno burger was very good, queen burger not bad but patty was tiny, and we didn't care for the cheese, fries were pretty greasy, chicken tenders were good.
The toy in the kids broke after literally one minute. We should stop wasting resources and money for junk like that.
No bathrooms, they really need a way for guests to at least wash their hands after having been on the road and before eating with your fingers!
