I really love this orchard. They have parking close to whichever crop you are going to pick (pick yourself orchard). The main barn has lots of good local jams, jellies, breads, pre picked crops. They keep their website up to date to let people know what is available for picking.
Best strawberries ever! Various of products. High maintained employees to provide the best experience. Thank you. Love the atmosphere.
A great family outing. Great weather, great atmosphere, and a good variety of delicious apples to pick!
This was my first time picking my own. It was so freaking hot! I thought I was going to die! I had a great time everyone should try it. Most importantly was the feeling I felt helping out the farmers :) peaches were great! I dug some tators up and picked mators. The staff was fantastic!! I will go again very shortly.
Great place to pick produce! Food is also tasty, great apple fridders.
Beautiful farm, it was fun picking pears and apples, let's forget feeding the lama and the goats. You have to try the apple cider and the kettle corn.
I like visiting this farm. I think with children it would be awesome. I got some apples here but seriously, $13 for 15 apples?! I guess I really should consider picking them myself. Weekends are kind of busy in the fall but it's a nice be to visit.
Good peaches easy access get there early to avoid people
Pretty nice farm/ orchard, great atmosphere, one of the best farms around if not the best and there are a lot of good one's.
Wanted to do U-pick apples but very little info was available at the main market building. Followed the signs outside and drove to the picking area and then walked back to the check-in for picking. Learned there, that only one variety was available for picking despite the multiple varieties that were available at the main store. I wanted baking apples and these were more suited to eating. We had already treked all the way back there so we opted to pick them anyway. They are a very delicious eating apple but I was still disappointed that I didn't get the baking apples I wanted. Meanwhile everything else was nice in the market but many items, the cider for instance, with no price info. Purchased quite a few things in the market and got out of there for $20 and some change which is good. Things were reasonably priced. I had read they had Apple Fritters but learned they were only available on weekends. :( I will probably go back again but not for pick your own.
Always love coming here. Kids can do have fun doing hay rides or a maze. You can also pick your own fruit.
I absolutely LOVE LOVE this farm & the owners are super nice !! My kids & I started going there in approx late 1990s, to pick strawberries every May. The rows were plentiful & it was super quick to pick 20 + lbs of strawberries for us to make strawberry jam to put up for the year. We picked other items as well, but picking strawberries became a family tradition & my kids ( age 32 & 35 ) often talk about going there as children. I would def recommend it for the entire family !!
If you live nearby, go for it. If you are planning a day trip to come here, it's not worth the traffic. I get it - we came during a fall weekend which must undoubtedly be such a busy time for them. Overall, I found the experience to be a bit too commercialized, and the infrastructure and staff seemed to barely be able to keep up with the crowds. This was reflected in the mood of some of the staff and wait times for most of the offerings. I would however, be willing to give them another try during less-popular times of the year.
The best pick your own farm in Central Maryland. Open May through November with a wide variety of fruits and veg, and other produce at the barn as well.
I take my family there three or four times a year, we love picking our own fruits and vegetables, the drive there is Fun.
came for the strawberries, got strawberries. Red to the middle and delicious. this year, choose one of 3 basket sizes when you enter. you might need to look closer for the best ones; some are hard to find under the leaves. one problem, I wish people would read the signs, make sure the strawberry is ripe on all sides before you pick it, and pick what you take!
Love this place .... good place to take your kids to
We absolutely love this place! We look forward to warm weather every year and plan a few visits. I secretly wish I worked here, so I could pick and eat fruits and vegetable all day. If you're looking for a place to bring the family, you can't do much better. The kids are safe to run around, there's healthy food, and around the holidays they have activities for everyone.
Awesome place to pick your own fruits flowers and veggies
First time there. Definitely not my last. Everything was nice and prices were very reasonable.
My mom, sister, and I visited this past Saturday. It was a fantastic experience! There is PLENTY of great parking at each orchard, and by the barn. All of the staff were welcoming & helpful. Everything was very well maintained. Although there were LOTS of people there(it was perfect weather), it never felt uncomfortably crowded. We can't wait to go back when they open for the Spring!
Beautiful farm! Apple orchards are ripe currently and you can see on the website what is available each day. So fun for all ages. Went with friends and it was perfect for a Saturday morning. Would recommend getting there early so you don't miss picking things that will be gone in the afternoon.
Enjoyable place...you must experience it for yourself!!!
I was worried that they would be picked out but there were plenty of berries even though it was late on a Sunday on a holiday weekend.
the employees there were rude. Specially there is a lady she is really rude
Cut and pick your own fruits and vegetables, very comfortable prices, very friendly staff
Beautiful farm and surrounding landscape, delicious produce and amazing preserves, ciders, sodas and more from McCutcheons Apple Products. Highly recomend you take a vist
Best day spent with kid in a while! So much to do and see. People had their kids out on Saturday. Bring cash for rides, good treats and eats. Hot dogs, tacos, burgers, fresh warm apple fritters and fresh popped kettle corn. Pick your own veggies and fruit and herbs including sunflower. Barn full of goods to shop. Enjoyed beauty of fall!! Lots of walking. Good parking free! Tip: bring good walking shoes, water, lawn chair, or blanket so u can pick a spot and chill.
iI drove 2 hour to get there at the day picking cherry .....I was there at 10:00 but they said (cherry farm Full) So,i picking Strawberry ...it is bad strawberry Never back again..Thanks
Ms. Lee is awesome and the farm is quite lovely. good fun for the whole family.
This is a great place to take the whole family for a few hours of fun. Be sure and check their website to see what's available to pick. They use "integrated pest management" to try to cut back on pesticide use here. Prices are sometimes going to be more than what you'd pay in the supermarket, but the experience is worth it. Great place to take a family photo.
The farm was very family friendly, and there was a lot of things to do, ranging from looking at animals, to harvesting fruits and vegetables in the fields, to the farmer's market at the front entrance.
Wonderful farm for visiting and pick-you-own apples and pears. Good cider and fritters. Very well organized parking and staff.
Helped bake a really good peach pie with the fruit we bought here. They also have a good selection of preserves, jellies, salsas and jams.
Always great people, product and prices! Go several times a year.
I was there during summer to pick blue berries and cherries with my kids and went back fall (9/30/2017) to pick apples. they have varieties of apples and they are ripe and delicious. There are fun things for kids to do including hayrides.
Great place to get all year long different produce etc. The kids will love it too, and the kid in you as well
Perfect place to spend time with family. Apple and vegetable picking with other fall activities.
I have been coming here for many years! I always have a wonderful experience with great staff and fresh fruit! I love this place!
The picking is usually good, just check their webpage before you go. 5 stars if prices were a little lower. Still a great experience for families.
Great selection of produce and fruit. Fall festival is great for whole family.
Great fun for entire family. Pick many diff veges (chard, radish, spinach, beets, broccoli etc) at good prices.
Great locally fresh produce. Everyone is also friendly
Beautiful escape from the city. Great produce and friendly workers. Picked a few pounds of apples which were crisp and delicious.
Awesome pick your own place. Very helpful staff.. doesn't appear too commercial which is great.
Great u-pick farm. Do your picking in the field, and stop by the red barn for honey, fresh veggies, and canning supplies. Good for the kids!
Great experience! This is pretty much the only public place I will take my daughter during covid bc she is immunocompromised. The produce is excellent and the flower picking was really fun to!
The strawberry's were to die for. I love hitting the different fruits as them come in to season. Makes for a great day with the grand kids. A day in the fresh air does wonders for the soul.
Great outdoors experience, great fruit and vegetables picking.
We love picking here. Try to hit it up once a month or so. Never disappointed what we bring home.
So many options depending on the season for picking as well as a shop for fresh and organic goodies. Even on the busiest of days there s always more parking. Fair prices and the staff are all friendly knowledgeable on what s ready and where to get the right picks. One of the family s favorite day time outdoor activities. You can go for the fresh produce or just to sit by the lake and enjoy the atmosphere.
First time here, went for strawberry picking and it was awesome Friendly staff and tasty berries. We shall go back
Awesome people that work there ! Very friendly, warm, and eager to help in any way they can!
I have been attendeding apple picking for over 15 years at this farm. I love it!
Great place to spend weekends with family. Strawberry season, raspberries, blueberries, apples, among other fruits & veggies.
Really nice place to pick your own fruits and they are so delicious
My family loves Larriland. A great place for kids to have a hands on experience learning where there food comes from.
Went to get pumpkins late october and was shocked to still see very good quality available. Also make sure to pick up their apple cider!
Fun place for fresh fruit picking. We Have been going here almost every year now. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is very helpful. The quality of freshly picked fruit is great. Love this place.
My favorite farm to pick fresh produce. Well-managed, competitively priced, and a wide variety of fruits and vegetables to pick your own and to buy pre-picked.
A great farm with wonderful produce as well as other products
Beautiful We did the pumpkins, food, and flowers!
Fun for whole family, only tip to go early in the morning
Today I received an email from them about the opening day, so I just recalled that I didn't write any reviews. I have visited this farm several times around two years ago. I enjoyed the experience in most of them. Strawberries, peaches and cherries were good. You will love them. However, as some visitors commented, the employees there were rude. Once when I paid for my cherries, the lady there was really rude. After swiping my card, she just stood there and said no words to me. I was not sure if I needed to sign. So I asked "All set". She said uh huh. OK, then I said thank you, and she replied me "uh huh". OK, I am a nice person so I said have a nice day and she said "uh huh". I never visited this farm since then. I hope that now they have hired polite people who could speak more words.
Larriland offers pick your own, no reservations required! Strawberries are nearly gone but lots more crops to pick coming up! Go pick!
Lots of fun stuff for kids: hay rides, apple picking, pumpkin picking, a maze, a "boo" room (for 3-8 year olds, probably). Great place.
This used to be a great farm. While people working here are the same, this place has changed a lot over last few years. First, we noticed yearly price increases at a pace much larger than national trend. Like their tomatoes were $1 then $1.25 then $1.5. Food prices did not increase by 25% in a year in US. Now with this COVID-19 pandemic, they do not sell by the pound (I have no idea why - other farms have no problem selling by the pound). Instead you have to pay for the bag/box. While blueberries last year used to cost $3+ now effectively they cost $5/lb (after dividing the price for the bag by weight). Same goes for blackberries. A half bushel of peaches is $60 while nearby farms sell for $30. Another issue is that this farm became very popular and now it is difficult to pick ripe blueberries - picking is not as good given the number of customers. So you might have paid for a large bag but have difficulty filling it up. When I complained about this, they told me something like "Well, this is how things are at the beginning of the blueberry season". To make things worse, they like to open fields earlier than they should and so if you come when they just open the blueberry field or grapes field - you will be picking sour blueberries or green and sour grapes. We essentially stopped going to this farm and we do not recommend it.
This place is awesome to take the family/young children on a nice summer day to pick berries and various produce! Our girls love going here.
It was full of pickers. Kids ran around. Apples, tomatoes, berries straight from the land. Apple fritters and farmers market. Pumpkins. Good place to go on the weekend if the weather permits.
We went there every year they won't charge admission fee not like the other pick your own farm.
Larryland is a great place to visit with your kids, you can pick your apples, pumpkins and then buy a lot of organic options like apple cider, vegetables, etc.
Broccoli and cabbage beautiful Apple's good
Always a fun time here. Whether it's feeding the alpacas or goats or going out in the fields to pick stuff, it's always fun. Friendly staff. Really good apple fritters and cider in the fall. Worth the ride out every time.
