This place used for many occasions such as international conferences ,convocations, exhibitions..when you visit to Colombo ,do not forget to visit this place.

Technology is 100% but bit old. AC and comfort are greatest.

This the only conference venue that can accommodate a large body of people in Sri Lanka. The main hall has a capacity of around 800. However this isn't a modern set up. It's clearly made up for something like a UN conference. This is not the ideal stage for a keynote speaker. You will not be able to connect freely with the audience purely because of the distance between the stage and the first row.

It's the first and most important conference hall and convention centre in Sri Lanka and where most of the exhibitions are held.

A well known event venue in the country. There is a large auditorium in the main building, surrounded by several smaller ones. There is also a separate convention hall named after the late Sirimavo Bandaranaike and about 2 more smaller auditoriums housed in large, hut-like structures. There are several other institutions too inside the premises, including the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS) and Bandaranike International Diplomatic Training Institute (BIDTI).

Largest International Conference Hall in Sri Lanka.

This is the best and mostly used hall in SriLanka. It has all the facilities.

On the outside i cannot say the visitor washrooms are good. Well built but not maintained. Recently there was some constructions so washroom by the car park is closed now. Parking place is not well organised. In front of Arrival and departure are always crowded with unwanted people. Some are taxi drivers blocking other vehicles waiting for passengers. Its ridiculous for non passengers to buy a ticket to get into either departure are or arrival. You practicality can't get inside more than 50 meters. I haven't seen anywhere else such a thing. Don't buy food from inside since they charge double. Once the chekin is done and you have time just walk around. Don't go to boarding area. At the boarding area they take all your liquid bottles including water. Once inside the boarding area they don't let you go outside and there is no place to get water or food and no washroom either. If you are thirsty or have to go to washroom, you have to wait till you get into flight. So don't go inside boarding area immediately

The place is nice.. good for conferences and events. But of course there is a prize to pay.

The largest and the first conference Hall complex in Sri Lanka which was built in memory of His Excellency late Prime minister S W R D Bandaranayake, situated in the Colombo main city. Almost all the large scale conferences take place at the BMICH. This complex can hold large scale exhibitions as well. Restaurants are available during events. There are multiple car parks. There's a museum dedicated to the late Prime minister. Apart from the main Conference complex there is another small scale conference Hall in the West which is built in memory of the first woman prime minister Her Excellency Late Sirimawo Bandaranayake. This complex is considered as a national treasure.

It is one of the finest conference halls in Sri Lanka. There are also various exhibitions held at this place. There are also large-scale year-round car shows and book fairs. Conversations of private universities are also held in this area and even government ceremonies are held in this place. This hall holds an important place in Sri Lanka.
