Very well cared for historic hotel. Rooms are updated but still has the historic feel. Enjoyed our stay and will be back! Great for groups as has a bar and can socialize at the bar or in their gathering space with very adequate seating.
Their pub used to be the place... Post COVID, the prices shot skyward and it's lost it's touch. Wait staff is still superb though. Sass bartending, especially.

What a bummer. Been staying at the landmark since I was young. Was excited to re visit after a long hiatus. It s drastically changed; no longer that historic, quant feel it always had.
Worst part was our room. Stains on the floor, dirty shower (black hairs, unclean dirty tile to step into: how inviting), bed was rock hard to the point whenever we d move it would wake the other up, dust all over the furniture, lamps. I felt dirty touching things. Side note: the doors should be replaced. You can hear them shutting all night long.
Disappointing & quite sad to see.
Nice place though however it is haunted, that might be a cool thing for some of you, but if that s not your thing don t go, or don t stay in the Lilac Room at least, because that s the haunted room
Heritage building tastefully updated, super comfy beds and nice plow selection. On site pub has nice beer selection. Have not yet tried the food.
Meh, Just okay, wouldn t stay here again. Rooms and facilities are dated and not very clean. However, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Over priced for what you get, it s a $150 room all day long, but they charge over $300. I thought I was staying at a boutique hotel, more like a broke down hotel. Perhaps it s the location is why they charge what they do, that s the best part of the stay.
Have been coming here for years and always enjoyed, but very disappointed in the modern revamped upper lounge. Loved the cozy atmosphere of the north star lounge! More fitting with the whole ambiance of hotel .
Let s start with what was good The location and the staff were super friendly and free parking.
What I didn t like rooms were dirty, old and worn, dusty and not well looked after. Bedding was well over it s useful age. The facilities could use a major update, like a decade ago. Well overpriced and under delivered for what you get. Such a shame for a beautiful building that once was a jewel.
Beautiful, historical, elegant hotel. Very friendly staff, clean rooms. Two bars are a big plus. The upstairs bar is super cozy and they got a new sign since the last time I visited.
