Never try to spend your money and time for a stay in this hotel. While booking it was mentioned free WiFi. After check in they have heavy charges on minute bases. Staff are OK. Taxi fare are more expensive then flights. Don't waste ur time on browsing for this hotel

This place is a dream! Old Goan Portuguese bungalow style construction with gorgeous tile-work everywhere, a huge pool, acres of green, private beach access, and an impressive variety of dining options-- I didn't want to leave! Even if you don't give two hoots about golf (like I don't), this place is perfect for an idyllic South Goa holiday.

Huge sprawling property at Canacona. Far from the hustle of the city. The Golf course in the property is one of the best in business. The hotel boasts a inventory of 250+ rooms and each room is big enough to ensure you have a comfortable stay there.

The road leading to The Lalit isn't well made. But, once you enter them gates of The Lalit, welcome to a world of greens(the grass and the private beach). Have stayed here twice. Both the times me stay was as expected, a class apart. The food is wonderful. The music was fun. A Goan band were killing it during our stay. The rooms? One of the finest if not the finest. Massive cottages. For the price offered, I couldn't have asked for anythin better. Whoever you are, you'd cherish your stay here. Nov-Feb, one the finest times to visit. Peace. All the best team Lalit..

Poor hospitality and pathetic food quality.

Poor hospitality and pathetic food quality.

The place is really nice. All the amenities are good and well maintained. But this 5-star resort lacks in hospitality and well-trained staff. The check-in and the check out was the worst experience. We booked a sea view room but they provided us a pool view room on the ground floor. After a long discussion, we got a better room on the second floor. Why the staff ignoring the fact that we are paying extra amount for a specific room? At the time of checkout, they added extra things in the bill which we have to correct and it took very long to settle the bill. People at reception need proper training on how to welcome your guests and how to make final bills.

In-room dining is very costly as compared to the quality of food. Food was tasteless. I ordered khichdi for my 2.5 years old kid and it was pathetic. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels and I have never seen such pathetic and tasteless food. They took 30-40 minutes to deliver your order in your room and you got cold food especially naan and roti. French fries took over 40 minutes and they were surely out of the frying pan for over 20 minutes before making their way to the room. There were many things on the menu which they said: not available . So you have dishes in your menu but your chef not able to cook them? And you call yourself 5 star ? Also, the in-room dining menu was very limited and you don t get many choices for kids.

Breakfast service was horrible. You have to wait for long 20-30 minutes to get a table and after that, you have to wait more 20-30 minutes if you ordered something on a live counter. My husband ordered a plain paratha and it took 25 minutes to come to our table. And all this happened when we visited this place in April. What would happen if someone visits in peak season time?
The first impression is the last impression. I ll never book this resort again.

Huge property. Has its own private beach, it's not commercialized and doesn't provide easy access to outside world hence less crowded. One of the most beautiful and cleanest beach amongst goa beaches. Green belt is maintained very well but cleanliness in rooms and corridors is not of five star standard. Food is also not great.

Amazing place to be with resort spreading across 100acres of land with exclusive beach, lovely rooms divided in casa's typical Portuguese style, huge swimming pool with sunken bar and other thing which I liked is the Cortas shack by the beach and if you get a chance do take a property tour and visit the villas with a private pool inside. Amazing place to be a must visit.

Huge property, but not well maintained.

Huge property, but not well maintained.
Intercom not working, lizard in the room, but without intercom, how can one call housekeeping?
No landline number mentioned on room key cover or services directory.
So searched the number from internet and then called operator to connect to housekeeping.
Food also so so.
2hrs drive from Airport, could get better alternatives.

Had a good overnight stay last week but definitely not 5 star. Found there's been a lot of turnover of staff. On check in, they hotel couldn't provide us with a double bed so I requested that they put the 2 twin beds together. It took a further 3 phone calls to finally get it done. Food was of very good quality. We used the beach restaurant and buffet for dinner. Farhad is a very good restaurant manager. Needs a lot of maintenance... peeling paint and generally dated furnishings. Broken tiles in pool. On checkout, our taxi driver wasn't allowed into the hotel to collect us so we had to get a buggy to the exit. We were told the reason was a union problem, but we saw other cars coming in whilst we were at the entrance.

These are two ways to describe our stay at The Lalit Golf & Spa Resort Goa! Our lovely rooms opened to a lush green garden, proving to be a lovely view to wake up to. Their restaurants Cancona and Corta s are as brilliant as they are picturesque. Loved their menu and the lovely team at Cancona who helped me plan a surprise for my beloved!

Very nice place. Next to beach. Very good food. However they can improve service. Found very few folks who were eager to help guests. Also the service time is long which could be due to either quality or quantity of staff. They can become a great property of they take care of customer service.

Property is good , but maintainence is very poor, I m in room no 2036 , it s rainy season and their roof is leaking from last 2 days , they are in no mood to fix my problem , because I have booked it from MMT, make my trip. They don t give much respect to mmt bookings .And it s off season here that s why they are giving cheap rooms . And they are feeling that as they are giving rooms at discounted prices no body will raise the questions . I have come here from Delhi to celebrate my holidays here but I m very disappointed , it s bad experience living in 5 star room with leaking roof.

The best resort in Goa.

The best resort in Goa.
One of the best place to stay and chill over there.
Has its own beach and waters rides too
And what the front office, it was well managed and the way to welcome the guests was just adorable
The staff members were all well educated and provided the best service I have ever experienced in any other hotels and resorts.
Overall a good experience there.

Excellent property tucked away in South Goa and secluded from the major tourist areas. Food somewhat questionable, however - better to eat outside the hotel. Surprised that even the local Goan cuisine was not particularly great.

The service of this hotel is not like their name. At the time of booking my transfer from airport is also booked but they didn't pick me up and didn't even drop me from the hotel. They migrated me for one day due to some pipeline malfunction in their hotel. Thanks to God the hotel in which I was shifted they are much better than Lalit in terms of service they have offered me in the premium suite booking. Overall my experience with Lalit is so bad and awful. I will never ever think to visit Lalit again in my life. They guys didn't even offer welcome drink to their customers who are paying them good amount for their stay. Your service makes you what you are.
