The best beach of Goa with minimal population around...lesser known to many

Just about perfect...only,they shouldn't be charging for services like cycling,archery etc.

Fabulous Oriental restaurant OKO , a must try for sushi , sashimi & dimsums !!quite interestingly the Oriental food is paired with wine . It's a bit of a drive from margao but the drive would be oh so worth it !

Serene and peaceful , this place will take ur heart and you would want to visit again n again. Spacious lush green property. Private beach, great ambience, courteous staff, it is a place to unwind urself. Highly recommended !

The location is awesome, the place is beautiful. The food is okay, recommend to go out to near by shacks or local joints for food.
We were tired and wanted to take a quick nap after the long drive to the resort, however at the time of check in we were informed that only 1 out of the 3 rooms was ready. After repeated reminders the rooms were provided at around 5pm. Later around 7pm we were requested to clear the 2 rooms and move to presedential suite as we had booked for only single night and there were some guests coming in for a longer stay. We were delighted to shift into the presedential suite after the mishap with the rooms.
However it was sad to see how they treat you when you have single night booking.
Next day we were asked to checkout at 12pm, on requesting for more time around an hour or so. It was informed that we have to checkout by the given time since the next guests would arrive.

First of all, you make the guests wait for the rooms the previous day till 5pm and the next day you ask them to vacate with no consideration what so ever stating that your guests staying for a longer duration are more important. Beware if staying just for a night, you may want to reconsider before you book here. The service is pathetic, however if you can ignore that the place is beautiful and the location spot on.

The LaLit Resort is a spacious, well-kept complex with a very nice 9-hole golf course. The rooms are large and clean, the pool area is spacious and inviting. In the wedding season there are a lot of wedding celebrations in the hotel, unfortunately this is associated with very loud music in the complex and on the beach. The wifi network is not up to the number of wedding guests.
The restaurant on the beach comes highly recommended.

Pathetic place with a cockroach size room! please book and come only if you want to ruin your vacation.
No service at all, A tiny beach hut have better service than this.
food taste is bad and costly.
Gala dinner at christmas is failed to impress any.
stay for few more days will update more about property and other sevice again.

Very good services with excellent food quality it was a very memorable experience in this resort this resort is one of the best resort in Goa and one of the biggest resort in India it was amazing experience with Lalit staff it was very amazing property

Excellent property. Quite far from the airport. Staff and management were average at best, nowhere near 5-star quality. Most of the amenities in the room didn't work

A very good property, but was really a tough task to get proper TEA for 4 days in a row.... Repeated requests did not acheive it.

Private beach steals the deal for The Lalit. Building is old, but renovation work ongoing.

Excellent Resort rooms are big and very clean and villa had 4 rooms with private pool and garden. Food was very good. Location was average because u cant find anything nearby as it was in south goa but its very good who want to relex in resort. Resort beach was very clean and good. Highly recommend. Must Visit

Very big n calm property.. room n bathroom is clean n very specias.. beach is clean n peacefull.. one should come here for relexing vacation.. nearby tapola river bank is wonderfull place.. where ocean n river meet.. swiming pool is big n joyful.. overall nice place for relaxing vacation..

Arrogant staff and there were leakage at various places in the lobby. Pool was out of service so you have nothing much to do if you are visiting in monsoon.

Good experienced but i have some complain about the food need to improve more athers are good

A bit away from Goa, has a near private beach that is reasonably clean bounded by rivers/streams on either side. Totally green, vegetables grown by the resort themselves aking with a good spa, restaurant. But not for the typical Goa kind of Holiday

pickup and drop facilities on time and comfortable, stay was nice, Beautiful designed lobby and garden area, Nice welcome. Lalit Goa staff were very friendly and ensured my needs were met. I hope to stay again in the future.

Lovely property though showing signs of aging. Beautiful landscaping and private beach is very clean. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Stayed recently for 3 nights.

The property is an absolute beauty, it's so huge and so well maintained, the sizes of the rooms being that big, the property doesn't disappoint you. They have an amazing pool area which is accessible till 8pm in the evening, super clean, with a nice atmosphere. The basic rooms, garden view ones, are real good, there's not much of a difference between garden view and sea view because they are almost at the same distance from the property. They have a beach's private access sort of, the beach is beautiful, you have a few masseurs on the beach giving amazing foot massages, definitely go for them.
Tip: there's this spot on the right side of the beach, if you walk for like 5-7min where the river meats the sea, it's a thing to experience that view, see if you can go there.
We even checked out their gym, and squash area, indoor games area, absolutely well maintained, do explore the property because it has so much to it.
Now, what definitely disappoints you is service and food. From the front desk staff to the staff in their buffet spreads, it takes a lot of pushing and multiple attempts to get things done. We had to time and again inform them about the same thing, so there is a huge room for improvement there. The buffet spread is limited and also not that good, besides, also too pricey, there is a reason why the Cafe right opposite to their property is running well because people tend to look out for more options meals wise. The property is an approximate 1 hr 45 min away from the airport and the last 45min is a proper Zig zag road, it's located in a spot where besides the property there's nothing at all food options wise, so be aware of that. The nearest beach is Palolem Beach, 15min away, it has some shacks around it, but make sure before you book the property and if you wish to eat beyond the property as well, just give a few of these shacks a call. Like in our case, we were made aware most of the shacks, cafes and eateries shut down in June, so we had nothing but the property to cater to our food.
Make a wise choice, this is at the southern tip of Goa.
If privacy and just the property to relax is your thing, this is a must go, otherwise no.

Brilliant locale and absolutely wonderful architecture. The hotel is brilliant and the spas were even better than i expected.

You have to go to the beach. It is gorgeous and absolutely quite.

Biggest qualm - the service was abysmal. Wife and I had to keep on request the same thing a few times before we got some response, and usually it was with the wrong thing.

As the name comes true to its description accordingly, it's an awesome resort, and a quitely comfortable place to stay , it also has its own private beach behind it, but not so safe beach according to the lifeguards, I'd suggest better to go to Palolem itself, all services like hotel , bike/car rentals restaurant, general store are accesible n at the main gate. Rooms are awesome, hospitality is quick , so overall a great choice..but do check for the price tag on this one, happy stays to you

One of the humongous & best resorts of Goa. Beautiful property & rooms. Very courteous staff. The private beach attached to hotel itself is superb & one doesn't need to visit any other beach in Goa.

I booked a Candle light dinner at Corta's - The Lalit & even got a confirmatory mail regarding-the same, but to my surprise , when I reached the venue, the staff were completely unaware of it.
Such a disappointment.

It's a good property, very vast but also extremely steep

The location of this hotel is perfect for sightseeing. The rooms are very spacious, clean and pleasant. All the amenities were first class. The breakfast very nice with all kinds of choices and a fresh omelet, dosas, pancakes, Indian, italian and continental, fruits, 8 kind of milk shakes and lot more.... Highly recommended if one is coming to south Goa it is spread over 85 acres with private beach Rajbaga, Palolem beach is only 4.5km from here.

It's very old but well maintained property.. I enjoyed my stay. Food, private beach, sports activities all add values to your stay..

Great hotel, it can be said that the pearl of South Goa! Large, comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast, helpful and friendly staff. Nice, big beach. Huge, well-groomed area, excellent golf courses. Great location, there are other beaches nearby, where you can get out in the evenings to diversify the rest. In general, I recommend for a relaxing, comfortable stay.
