I will not begin to rate their actual chiropractic services because I only had one adjustment. After that, they chased me away by forgetting they should be doctors first and salespeople second. I was in so much pain, I had ZERO patience to sit through their pitch as to why I shouldn't use my insurance, and why I should pay for 50 sessions upfront.
Wonderful staff and thorough examinations. I ve been to other chiropractors before but this place will actually work to fix the underlying issues and not just a bandaid fix. Highly, highly recommend!

What a great chiropractor! I have been seeing Dr Gerard for several years and my son since he was just a couple days old. He has kept us healthy, headache free, ear infection free, stomach pain free (my initial complaint) and the list just keeps going on. I came to Lakewoods Chiropractic just "not feeling well". I was depressed about losing my 2 dogs that fall 3 years ago and was not sleeping well or eating well due to backaches, GERD, you name it. I felt better and my mood lighter after the first couple adjustments. Well, you say, why keep going? Many reasons!!! I feel younger because I can move easier and I don't wake up with a backache. I still have some stomach problems but am learning how to pull toxins out of my system and how to eat properly without taking medications. I have great movement of my neck and plan to keep that movement, as I have had neck surgery 10 years ago and don't plan to have another! I rarely use any Ibuprofen anymore and I feel good. Dr. Gerard and his group of fantastic workers that help make his clinic run smoothly, are a great bunch of people who are friendly and knowledgeable. They remember everyone's name when you walk into the clinic and it makes you feel special. Dr. Gerard puts on workshops on health, food, cancer and many more, including the recent one on hormones. The workshops are designed to give information to stimulate and generate discussion on better individual living which can be used for the patient or family members. The vitamins and proteins plus greens are from Maximized Living and he sells them conveniently, and many times with a discount, at the clinic and workshops. I really like talking with Dr. Gerard about medicine (I am an RN in a local ER) and know that I am getting "straight to the point and honest" information. He is a man of God and expresses his faith at work and in his life. He goes on Chiromissions to other countries on donations and his own dime to help thousands of people who may not ever have the chance to see a doctor. I think what impresses me most about Dr. Gerard and Lakewoods Chiropractic is the vision they have for the future and what they can do to contribute to the health of all individuals. I look forward to the continued adjustments, workshops, medical advice and friendships made in my future with them.
I started going to Lakewoods while I was pregnant. Dr. Gerard and his team met with me to find out where I needed to be adjusted and then made a plan that best fit my needs. I started noticing improvement after a few appointments and they really helped relieve my sciatic pain that I had the whole pregnancy. After giving birth to my daughter I kept up with my appointments and my back feels amazing! They also informed me that the do adjustments on newborns/kids. At first I was very skeptical about having my newborn adjusted. She then started having digestive issues and I decided to let Dr. Gerard adjust her. I am glad I had her adjusted because 2 hours after he adjusted her she finally went #2 after not being able to go for a few days! I came to Dr. Gerard about 10 mths ago, at 58 yrs. old. I am extremely healthy & active, but despite all of my excercise & clean diet, my back was becoming stiff-as-a-board. I needed to bring a back-assist-seat with me to sit for any length of time; when I stood up, I was completely bent over and would have to shuffle a few steps before I could straighten-up & then walk; I noticed my walking stride was becoming shorter; and my range-of-motion during my work-outs was becoming very limited & restricted. I did not understand why this was happening and I was very hesitant and knew nothing about chiropractors. I met Dr. Gerard through his Cancer Prevention seminar & I knew that I had to give him a try. Great place to come to when you need to get past daily head pains. first week after starting I noticed reduction in head pains. I have also had better feeling in my back. No strain or soreness.
They really seem to care about making you feel better. If only the Ice cream place was open next door then I could enjoy some sweet tooth after getting adjusted.

My wife and I have gone here for years. I went in with frequent neck aches and head aches and have thankfully all gone away! Also my wife has had significant improvements with migranes. The staff is friendly and there is a genuine care for your health and progress. Also, relative to other places, the price per adjustment is great! You might not even bother with insurance with their rates vs your co-pay.

This is the best chiropractor that I ve been to. I left for six months and went to someone closer to home, but that was a mistake. I came back to Lakewoods and within two adjustments my pain was gone. I now drive 25 miles a week just to get adjusted by Dr. Gerard!
Staff is very friendly and very accommodating with the schedule. I went in with horrible pain in my lower back and neck making it hard to do daily activities, and driving / riding in the car for long periods of time. I ve been coming here for about 5 months now, and last week I was able to go for a 2.20 mile walk, something I haven t been able to do for a year and a half. My moods are better, and the headaches are pretty much nonexistent. I can t thank them enough!!

Very high pressure sales. I felt guilt tripped into paying a reasonable $3000 for the sake of my health. Every time I said no, the payment options suddenly became easier. I ll be finding a different chiropractic office that doesn t feel like a sales office.

Terrible business practice, they are all about pushing sales the second you step in the door instead of actually helping you with an adjustment. Stay far away if you don't want to waste your time like I mistakenly did.
My son was 6 months old and was having problems breathing and sleeping through the night. Drs started us on nebs w/albuterol, wasn t working, wanted to switch to a steroid, we were not excited about this.
Talked to some colleagues about this, one of them recommended Lakewoods Chiro, everything Dr Gerard talked to us made sense, we started that week, within a month our son was completely off the nebs and sleeping through the night. He is now 12 and healthier than ever, and still getting adjusted.
We both get adjusted 2-3 times per month, we have more energy, we get over illnesses quicker, and are more focused in our daily activities.

They call and text you a lot, insistent and almost harassing making you scheduling appointments. Auto-withdrew my card two times without my consent. He s seems to be in it for the money. In and out of the adjustment in two minutes max. Felt like a number.

RUN..........I can't vouch for their care as the sales technique sent me running. They had me come in for their course of care on the third day. Unbeknownst to me office was closed. So i was in the office with only myself , two young kids,the "Doctor",and his lackey. At the end of the "Doctors" talk he told me about my 3 choices for how to pay.Ha! then i was brought into another small room alone with the other guy and was only given one option to prepay and not use my insurance. It was super uncomfortable.This place oozes cheesy slime balls!

I've been going to Lakewoods Chiropractic for almost 6 weeks now and have really noticed a difference in my lower back and shoulder tension. I wasn't able to play very well with my children because I couldn't bend or run very well due to my lower back pain. I've really noticed a difference in the short time I've been going to Dr. Gerard. It is so nice to be getting back to doing the things I used to before my lower back injury.

My entire family goes to Lakewood Chiropractic. It's been a preventative part of our family healthcare and has changed all our health for the better. I came to Dr. Gerard with ongoing hip pain I've had my entire adult life. I was skeptical chiropractic care was what I needed, but was in misery so I gave it a shot. My hip and back pain has improved greatly. I've been seeing him at least once a week for almost a year now and plan to continue. I've learned a great deal about my body and know I need to keep up with my regular adjustments because after I leave I feel great! The staff is great and very welcoming.
Working in a labor job there were times where I was in so much pain that I couldn't do basic functions like bend over to pick up my daughter. My family and I have been patients at Lakewoods Chiropractic for almost two months. We have all seen great results, my boyfriend works at UPS and he was at the point where he couldn't lift up our daughter anymore without being in pain. 7 weeks later of care and he can now lift her up and has minimal pain in his lower back. The best results have been with our two year old daughter, for one she is always asking me to go the doctor, that is what we call Lakewoods. She has had ear infections since the day she was born, and when she was 15 months old she had tried every antibiotic that they had available so she was subjected to getting tubes, an ear surgery. This past winter she was still getting ear infections constantly and I'm thinking here we go again. I started looking at other alternatives from the typical antibiotics and I found Lakewoods, she is now ear infection free for two months. This is huge because she hasn't not been sick for this long since she was born. People think that it is just normal for toddlers to always be sick, well I can tell you that it's not normal and there is hope for parents and kids at Lakewoods Chiropractic!
