My girlfriend and I did the Jazz Dinner Cruise aboard the Belle. It was lovely. Narrated tour was very interesting, one suggestion, I wish there was a bit more narration, seemed a bit short. Otherwise the wait staff was excellent. Food very good, and quite filling. Jazz Scholar performing group was great. Would recommend and return.
Thoroughly enjoyed the scenic narrated two hour boat tour of Lake Geneva! Captain Jeff & AJ were very knowledgeable, warm & friendly. The only problem was another customer who felt compelled to talk in a loud voice too often. We still managed to hear the two narrators. Lovely & relaxing trip!
It was an okay experience. Its a boat tour where they explain about the history of the place. Towards the end it was a little boring for me. But appreciate the effort the captain and crew put in to explain the interesting facts and history behind each houses on the shoreline. We took the one hour seasonal cruise. They did have a bar onboard, which was good. Guess the other cruises like dinner or ice cream would have been better.
Took the Black Point Mansion tour! It was amazing! What a great way to provide a relaxing boat tour with an amazing historic mansion tour! Very friendly captain/staff and clean boat! Will definitely be recommending this to friends/family!
For our special wedding anniversary we took the Gage Lake Geneva lunch cruise on the Grand Belle. There was ample parking near the Riviera dock. Our server, Katie, was friendly and helpful. Our lunch started promptly in dock with fresh fruit, then chicken parmigiana with potatoes and green beans, and crumbly apple pie for dessert. The tour included the whole lake with interesting narrative about the different estates and homes. There was a bathroom on the ship and at the dock. Both decks are enclosed by large windows so viewing is good but protected from wind. This was a very enjoyable cruise and we would love to go again sometime.
I went on the Jazz Tour for the benefit of the band, but they spent to much time talking about the residence. We sat in front of a four story mansion for over ten minutes talking about the history. That would be nice for a regular tour, but a bit to much when you actually went for the entertainment.
The 2 hour tour of the Lake goes through the history of its development, home owners throughout the history, evolution of development, etc. The guides were knowledgeable, friendly and made the 2 hours go by quickly while you relax on the water.
My husband and I did the full lake tour. It was beautiful and gave us a new look at the lake and the beautiful properties around it. The narration was somewhat muffled over the load speaker, so it was hard to hear and understand some of the history, but the views alone were exquisite.
We were originally going to skip the boat tour, but so many locals told us it was a must. We re glad we did it and recommend it to anyone visiting!
