Great guest house and restaurant. Located between the Rome airport and cruise terminal. Owned briefly and restored by J. Paul Getty, the furniture and rooms are treasures in their own right. The restaurant is expensive. There is a local restaurant at the train station about 1/4 mile away that fills every night with local folks. I recommend it for a great meal and an authentic Italian experience.
Don t miss the remains of the Roman villa under the hotel. 2000 years of history in one place. Awesome

Very poor overall experience start to finish. What was to be a nice end to a lovely two week trip, which included several wonderful hotels in Rome, Tuscany and Positano, was a real disappointment. Not worth the price for what we thought was supposed to be a luxury hotel. Room was inadequate and had exterior shutters banging through the night, bugs seen in canopy above bed and overall cold feeling to decor. We were denied a change in room stating hotel was booked. Staff not overly accommodating at all and very business like, lacking warmth. Dinner was also overpriced for the quality, both meals served cold having to be sent back. We would not return or recommend.

This hotel is beautiful and the best place to stay for a couple of nights before meeting your cruise ship outside of Citavechia. The rooms are beautiful and the service is excellent. It is pricey but it is by far the best hotel option.

Unfortunately very disappointed the second time!
Dirty cutlery, minimalistic service, poorly eaten food, main gate closed and we had to wait in the rain for the concierge to answer the intercom.

I recommend to everyone at least once .. for me after years it remains number one

Unusual place with a private beach, unparalleled sunset, its own museum, archaeological excavations in the basement. Big park. Fantastic cuisine of the local chef. Oyster with strawberry foam is super, but like everything else. Without an order not to get.

One of the most beautiful hotels near Rome. Level restaurant.

Idyllic place along the seaside not far from Rome by car, perhaps an hour on a busy day. The terraces along the ocean are the most beautiful with the view over a medieval castle one side and stretches of empty coastline to the other. Luxurious common sitting rooms and a library filled with interesting literature and rare photography books, in English. The big surprise is in the basement of the hotel which offers a full exhibit of the former Roman ruins with mosaics. Wonderful, best for honeymooners.
