Waiter needed to be trained better. They wanted to be all over the place at the same time, easily forgetting others exist. I use to be a regular customer but this time I will not returning.

Wednesday night pasta nights are great. The food is good and so is beer. Food isnt amazing so I didnt give 5 stars.

We had dinner on week night. Restaurant was not crowded or busy. Service was good and table cleared quickly. We ordered chopped salad, anti pasta with fried eggplant, special pork osobucco and linguine with clams. Pork was tender and moist with lots of flavor, wide loved linguini and chopped salad. Anti pasta was amazing, really tasty mozzarella, spicy pepper, egg plant and prosciutto was good with hard crust bread served with dinner. Tiramisu was made in house, was excellent, highly recommend. To address comments in reviews about cuisine mix of Swiss/Italian, having lived in both countries, schnitzel is popular through tour Europe and is not just a German food, and Switzerland shares borders and traditions of both these countries. Go ahead take a trip to Yonkers for this wonderful food.

La Lanterna always delivers excellent food. The staff is friendly and always cleaning , I feel so comfortable eating there especially during these Crazy times .The outside dining is one of my favorite things about this place .

Beautiful outside atmosphere and delicious food. Best calamari I've ever had, and those big meatballs are sooo good. Just the right amount of cheese and sauce.

I admire this spot! They have first-cleass food, their menu is decent, The cook in that place is well trained, I like a lot tasting all their dishes. The food is consistently fresh and tasty, the attitude towards the guests is very good too. I often go to this place and I not even once was unhappy. I recommend it with no hesitation.

Pretty good Italian-American spot. Chicken parm is always the go to but I have tried the Tortellini, pretzel, meatballs, and fried lasagna thing. All were pretty good nothing too stellar, although the giant pretzel was pretty amazing!

This place is a gem. Great food. Non-crazy prices. Super-big portions.

Just ate here. You'll forget that you are next to a highway. Lovely atmosphere (we ate outside), with music and lights. The pizza is out of this world. You'll need to share, so ordering salad and pizza and sharing is recommended. We got meatball pizza. It comes with a big scoop of ricotta to spread. The service was a bit slow, but I didn't mind.

Food was amazing & the had my favorite beer on draft!

Expensive $21 for chicken parmesan and the food was cold so was the cappuccino

Pre-Covid we took the kids here all the time... and now we still enjoy the food via takeout.. they do have a large outdoor space and great food..

Came here for a quick bite after coming back from vacation. The bread comes with garlic butter in a cup, clearly a good sign of a classy joint. I had the tortellini which was delicious. Really nice atmosphere and quick service, friendly staff. This is definitely one of those hidden gems in Yonkers that people don t realize is around the corner from their house.

Nice outside seating area in the summer. Good beer selection. The pasta specials are pretty great and I wasn't disappointed. I'd come back here again.

I'm on a low carb diet. I've been looking for a great salad in Westchester. I never expected to find it in an Italian restaurant, but as I type this I am eating their pear salad with grilled shrimp, and it is fantastic

Amazing.. Delicious.. Excellent.. these are a few words to decribe the Service,Food and Ambiance.. nice wine list .. sangrias .. and deserts.. They accomodated our party of 9 ..on a very busy Sat. So reservations are highly recommended.. We will definitely return..

Just came here for the first time for my birthday dinner. Everyone in our party of 6 loved their food, which is very reasonably priced considering the large portions and good quality. Our waitress was really sweet and attentive. I'll definitely be coming back in the future.

I have eaten at La Lanterna's restaurant on many occasions and have enjoyed the meals. The portions are large, the bread and salads are fresh and I have found the service to be very attentive. I would recommend La Laternas to anyone who wants a delicious relaxing Italian meal.

Come here for drinks only.. atmosphere is fine, drinks are okay (beer tasted like soap) and food is horrible.. mayne Covid has something to do with it but even service was dismissive..

Absolutely love La Lanterna Restaurant, my family and I come here all the time. The food is amazing the drinks are great, the staff is friendly. The place is decorated nicely, plenty of outdoor seating. The restaurant is a bit tight inside but definitely can work for a party of 6 (indoors), outdoors isn't a problem since the grounds are of a good size plenty of seating out there.

I cannot say enough great things about this place. The restaurant has a cozy rustic but elegant atmosphere. They have an outdoor dining patio which I love. You can host parties and events here and they do a wonderful job! The owners and staff are amazing! But the Food! The food is so good!! You have to try the pizza, Paddy's Meatballs, Calamari Fritti, Spicy Garlic Shrimp, Sweet Pear Salad, any of the pasta Dishes, lobster ravioli are one of my favorites, the risotto is always so yummy, as well as any of the entrees but you have to try the Beer Garden Schnitzel! And don't forget dessert! Love, love, love this place.

Small but nice bar scene. Food is rather eclectic which is nice. Large portions and tasty too. Nice wine and they have a beer garden.

The pasta here is very good. The menu is pricy however. The service is usually pretty good. Sitting outside is nice enough except you ll eventually begin to get bit by bugs given the location. The bartender inside was rude to us so I stopped bothering with that.

The place is also easy enough to get to and you ll get your food served nice and warm pretty quickly.

La Lanterna has quickly become a favorite family restaurant. It is a true hidden gem - you've probably driven on the Saw Mill River parkway and passed by the restaurant several times, like we did. Once we tried it, we were hooked. We now dine at La Lanterna regularly and have celebrated several family birthdays (each time as a group of eight or more); everyone was delighted each time.

Came here after a funeral, they took care of us well here. They really put out a good spread.

What can I say... been there so many times and food, drinks and service is always amazing. My kids (and I) love the pizza, I would say that its the best pizza in Yonkers.
The family type food service is my favorite because we all get to taste a bit of each of all the amazing food served here.
Wife's favorite appetizer is the BURATTA E PROSCIUTTO, we always order one of this to start.

My friends L. and F. told me about this restaurant a while back. Always have a great time , food is very good and nicely presented , The management is always cordial. Wether indoors or outdoors we / I love it ..
On one of my last visits I had the Schnitzel, was really good. !!

Update since last visits 2/21 . I met the owner, who s a nice guy. Turns out I think he said he is of Swiss and Italian decent, which explains the schnitzel style dishes. The last time in I had the Swiss potatoes absolutely amazing . There was a chicken / salad dish with pears entree, a woman across was eating . I heard her say this is good. So I ordered it .. yes!!!! Big hit for a meat and potatoes guy ... try the appies too .

Old School Italian Restaurant. Service is on point. Food is Very Good with good portions, pizza is better than most. Meatball appetizer was amazing. Nice wine list. Since they've survived in that location for so long, you know they are doing something right.
