Tried and true this place always puts a smile on my face. It s cute in nature both in decorating style outside and inside with little unique cozy touches everywhere. It has a fusion of French and Argentinian cooking from empanadas to crepes. Make sure you try some of our favorites like the french onion soup, tamales, empanadas, the savory (le Pistou or la Scandinave) and dessert crepes (la Citron or la Buenos Aires) are just fantastic. Also they boast a great brunch mimosa and evening wine selection. Sara is who we usually see and she is dynamite. Always wonderful suggestions and pleasant conversationalist that is attentive to the guest. Plenty of outdoor seating and insides options with even some by a cozy fire. Between the service and the food it s a home run every time.

Excellent service and a quiet place to relax. Food was absolutely fantastic! French onion soup and crepes were on point. Excellent prices for the entire menu. My wife and I will definitely make this a regular stop during our mountain adventures.

My favorite place and very difficult to get a seat here! Otherwise I'd give it a 5 star. I love the ambiance, the coffee, and the food. It feels like a European vacation inside, but in order to enjoy, call ahead for reservations or inquire as to their capacity so you won't be disappointed.

By far and away the most lovely stop in North Carolina! Delicious breakfast and lunch options, incredibly pleasant staff, and a very cute & cozy restaurant. Makes it worth visiting every time I m in the Asheville area

Prices are very reasonable, I ve never needed a reservation, highly recommend asking the staff for recommendations on what to try

Great little cafe like place with a unique combination of French and Argentinean cuisine. The empanadas were amazing, full of flavor and amazing light and crispy dough. The mushroom tamale was my favorite--very moist and just the right consistency for the corn mush. The waitress was kind, she wore her mask and when possible practiced physical distancing. If ever in Black Mountain it's worth a visit.

La Guinguette was fantastic. The food was filling & amazing, the service was fast & they treated me like family, the ambience was quiet & outdoor, I never felt uncomfortable - I WANTED to stay longer, but I needed to WALK this meal off!

If you find yourself in Black Mountain & you're hungry, make sure you go to La Guinguette, you won't regret it. The food, the people, the service, the atmosphere is welcoming, warm & encouraged me to stay longer. Great for friends, family or just you.
I made La Guinguette a Favorite spot in my map of Black Mountain, I can t wait to go back there again. Thank you Sara & Staff

French and Latin under one cozy roof. Onion soup fresh and delicious, crepes and empanadas were special. Service very friendly. Off the main paths of town, check it out. Small place so reservations might be needed.

Make reservations due to small place. We enjoyed some good wine while sitting in the enclosed back patio. The service is excellent and the food is fresh. It's like sitting at a good friends house for dinner. I recommend the french onion soup.

Food is great. Service is good. Great prices.

Food is great. Service is good. Great prices.
They do follow covid. Best to go at an odd time ...the one room is a little small you are spaced out...not comfortable enough for me.
They do have other seating areas.
