It's over 2 years since I was here last and today I know why. I think I have had better service and faster service in a couple of the local dive bars compared La Caille. Today there are 10 waiters on site serving approx 10 tables. We ordered breakfast, coffee late and smoothies. The coffee was cold and had to be sent back. Got the starter and then it was a disaster. Asked why I had to wait over 30 minutes for my breakfast and it was excuses and excuses due to new employees being trained. So that becomes our problem. Our breakfast finally arrived and my French Crepe became American Pancakes........ REALLY. We decided to leave as nothing worked.

And only because I complained and a manager FINALY took action were we listened to. Correct apologies was given, breakfast was free and giftcard given.

We are contemplating coming back to use gift card. If we do I will call ahead and ask whether experienced staff are on duty.

This is our second time doing this to celebrate an 80th birthday. The first time was phenomenal. They served a delicious meal and the ambiance grounds are beautiful. The second time they just set up a buffet for us and so it lost some of the experience and I don't feel like the food was as good. Overall though we had a great time.

We love hanging out. Yesterday we went to this fine place which friends told us about. We had a beautiful time there with delicious meal and a well-trained stuff and a great cook. We put this place in our list and we shall definitely come back soon. We highly recommend.

I went on a student trip for junior high students and it was really fun. I definitely couldn't afford to go regularly the grounds were really nice in the restaurant was really cute. The students each had to pay $36 which is okay for a culturally interesting experience

One of Utah s most memorable dining experiences. If you re visiting or you re a local, you ll be happy you decided to dine at La Caille. Their food is 5-Star and their service is impeccable. I took my mother here for her birthday and now it s become a tradition we ve fulfilled ever year! There s no other restaurant I d want to share my family traditions with.

My husband surprised me by taking me here. I would never have agreed to something so expensive otherwise. I am one of the most cheap/frugal people I know. I even wash my plastic baggies. With that being said we ended up spending about $200 and it was worth every penny. It was worth every penny because the food was absolutely to die for.

My favorite thing to do is eat delicious food. If food isn't delicious I won't eat it. The food was heavenly! It was like a symphony in my mouth with every bite.

When I realized what restaurant my husband was taking me to I told him we could never do this again. After eating there I told him we needed to come back at least every year and maybe bring some of our friends/family who also love good food.

The ambiance was beautiful! The beautiful main entrance gates and the swam were just the tip of the iceberg. When we went in I felt as though I really was in France. Every aspect of the restaurant was meticulously thought about and executed with precision.

This is my new favorite place to eat and can't wait to go back!

A truly one of a kind dining experience in Utah. When we go here, we love to plan extra time to walk the grounds, watch the peacocks, and soak in the mountain atmosphere. The food is amazing - always something new to try and they go the extra mile to make special occasions memorable.

This restaurant does not serve French cuisine. The selection of red wines is vast, that of white rather poor. Their house wine is disgusting, for $ 13 the glass is incomprehensible. The service is a disaster and the More

Terrible experience. This was our first time dining here and heard good things overall. We went for the Valentines day special pre fixe menu. The food was good to decent depending on the dish, but the service, and the overall experience was Terrible. We got the wine pairing that came with the meal, and ended up getting multiple glasses of wine delivered at the same time, even before our plates were delivered. Other times, we got multiple dishes delivered with no wine. Additionally, there were a couple times where we were given our dishes, but no silverware and had to sit there 10-15 mins waiting for something to eat our food with. Lastly, to ruin the evening even more, the waitress brought back the card, and said it was "Declined" in front of everyone. One problem there, the card wasn't even ours. They brought back someone else's card, and it was completely embarrassing. On top of that, they lost my card for about 30 mins before we were able to pay and leave. Overall terrible experience for such a high priced dinner. Decent food, amazing grounds to visit, terrible service and complete unorganized. This is the first time I have ever left a review, and unfortunately it is for all the wrong reasons. I will never eat here again. One star just for the food. Everything else was a ZERO!

II normally don't like to write bad reviewed but I had to this time. We went for Valentine's. Food was under cooked for three of thethe f of us and had to go back to be cooked longer. Servers seemed like they were in training. They brought us the wrong plates to each person at the table. The whole experience was really disappointing. We spent $1000. For dinner for four, which included a nice bottle of wine, but that's the last time we are going there. Expected so much more. The meat was raw, scallops under cooked and just not impressed all the way around. And for that price, it should have been great. My son went that night also and had the same experience...

First, let me start with a statement that everything from the plate inwards is fantastic. The chef is clearly extraordinarily skilled. From knife work to seasonings, they know French styles and execute exceptionally well. The front of house service on the other hand, is on par with Olive Garden compete with black button ups, walkie talkies, and earpieces. Staff lacked knowledge of everything, from restaurant history, dish details, and a complete void of information on the wine and drink list. There is no sommelier, which for fine dining with bottles in the $1000's and a producing vineyard onsite, seems completely unacceptable. No knowledge of even of the house produced wines seem to exist with the staff other then the grapes are from Napa and "Napa grapes are very good". Part of the experience of fine dining is to learn (or at least have the option to) about the foods, ingredients and pairings of what went into the chefs intentions in the meal.

Cadence of the meal was also jarringly off. Our drinks showed after soups, which were delivered in two waves (for a table of 4), with a third trip needed for unmatched, spoons. Spoons, which were definitely not soup spoons and had a closer resemblance to salad serving utensils. Again, the French onion soup itself was very good, with ox tail and chardonnay being balanced and in harmony with the well (uniformly) sliced onions.

The mains were also delivered haltingly. Water service was so lacking that we had to flag someone down to get a refill (only one of 2 of the whole evening). We also had to ask for bread service, and forget about crumb sweepers! Napkins weren't refolded when someone got up to go to the restroom, but were instead awkwardly nudged a little further onto the chair and left crumpled and sad. This seems so strange for a restaurant where the hostess, theough much effort rearranged our place settings when seating us so our napkins would match (dark/light) our individual pants.

Also, while the linens were nice, sitting 4 people at an eight top plastic folding round table left my knees bruised and bashed from the folded legs seems particularly wrong for a $100+ per person meal.

There is also a strange obsession and push from the waiters for flambe dishes and drinks done tableside. Perhaps for the youthful staff's own amusement?

In summary: this restaurant resembles more of a exceptionally skilled chef working within a wedding venue that does meals for outsiders on non-event nights then it does the fine dining experience of its longstanding reputation past.

My husband and I ate here last night for our anniversary. This was our first time here as we just moved to Utah from Las Vegas. This is an upscale restaurant and of course definitely on the pricier side. We paid about $240 with the tip for More

I went there for my cousins actual wedding with all of my relatives, back in June of 2002. They had the best steaks, pasta, salads and some non-alcoholic Bloody Marys and pina colada. So delicious, and totally worth it, even though it's VERY pricey! The place looks very European, that it felt like I was in Italy and France, without leaving the U.S. the staff is very friendly and professional. I'll probably return, with some significant other, when I'm making GOOD money! For sure!

Unfortunate experience! I was thrilled by my husband arranging a very special dinner for Valentine's Day at La Caille. What a rip-off it was! The dinner menu was limited to "special" items only. It included 1 (!) oyster, choice of the foie gras miniature slider or tuna tartar, 1 absolutely uneatable grilled artichoke, beet salad, entree (I had 3 scallops, 1 little langoustine and few potatoes; my husband had the only choice of meet on the entree menu - 7 oz steak: the worst steak I ever seen! About 5 oz of it was fat, the rest charcoaled meat and 3 large home fries). For the dessert we had beignets (unfortunate version of the ones you could have in France or Louisiana's bistros, OR in Dysneyland!). Mind you, coffee/tea are not included... Thank goodness we brought our own bottle of wine! The cheapest wine on the menu was $95.00, but this is the one you could get for $9.00 at the liquor store), so $25.00 corkage free, even so unfair, but worth it). And all for over $350.00!
People, go there, walk around outside, take some pictures - the grounds at this place is the ONLY thing you'll enjoy!

Honestly this place has some of the worst food I've ever had, the service is sub par and the prices are laughable. The atmosphere is the only redeeming element but so many fine places in Park City that have this feel but live up to the price.

Wonderful atmosphere and wonderful service. Waiters are knowledgeable and interact professionally with all patrons. There are over 100 peacocks that roam the property.

They also have their own winery and all foods are fresh from local farms or from their own greenhouse. Totally worth the price. Any special occasion should be done at La Caille.

This place is class at its finest. The flavors and textures were genius. Wonderful ambiance and a perfect place for a special occasion. The venues are numerous and all elegant. The best filet mignon I've ever consumed, and the wild mushrooms were perfect. Don't get me started on the service. EVery attention to detail is made certain. We did have a slight mishap with my wedding dress, but it was quickly and kindly taken care of. The general manager even made time to come make sure everything was alright. Really just a wonderful place for all the right reasons.

What an amazing place to have a wedding! Each and every event at La Caille has been unique. We have enjoyed working at this location for so many years and it just keeps getting better and better.

Service was outstanding but the food was sub par. The grounds were well kept, but honestly for the price I think the food could use some help. This place used to be great, but has gone down hill a little bit in terms of food quality.

I visited La Caille with family friends, and I was very impressed with the service and scenery that awaited me as i arrived. I have heard of people taking wedding photos here, I dont blame them, it is beautiful. There are many different places for photos and they are gorgeous during the day and after it gets dark. As far as service gos, the employees and servers were all very kind and considerate, and caitered to everyones needs. Although expensive, you could tell that the food was good quality and there was a lot of work that went into making it delicious. Beautiful place, I will be sure to come back.

The service here was fantastic! Our waitress was wonderful! The food presentation is phenomenal. The food was good but the filet mignon was a little under cooked. The peacocks walking the grounds is also a fun sight to see here! Would definitely recommend the grounds are beautiful and inside has a good ambiance.

La Caille is clearly improving from years past. After hearing rumors of the recent improvements, we went there to celebrate my wife's birthday this past weekend.

We had two bad experiences in a row around 2014 or 2015. First, their Easter brunch was poorly organized and poorly executed. We gave them another shot for our anniversary that year, where indifferent service and some really bad physical plant issues (IE, seated next to a drafty door that left us both freezing) compounded by mediocre food left us seeking high quality dining in greener pastures.

I'm happy to report that La Caille is getting back on their game, though. While our most recent outing did suffer from some organizational issues, it's clear that the new management has gotten its feet under it and is doing some excellent work.

Let's discuss the service. There were a few small issues. La Caille is valet-parking only, which is generally not a problem, provided there's a valet there to take your keys. We ended up waiting a few minutes for a valet - which is odd but not unheard of. We had a few minutes' worth of wait to be seated, despite the dining room only being about 1/3 full. Appetizers came out after the soup course. Now, having written all that, none of this was the product of the wait staff being anything less than attentive (which was a nice break from the previous culturally-accurate but frustrating French diffidence the previous wait staff affected). Neither of us are high maintenance and the timing issues probably aren't really reflective of anything other than being somewhat short staffed on a Saturday night.

Wait staff was attentive, the sommelier knew his stuff, and other than apps and soups coming out in the wrong order the pacing was solid.

Onto the food, then. Pictured are the amuse-bouche (goat cheese and sorbet), appetizer (sous vide octopus), soup (lobster bisque), salad (beet salad), and mains (duck and lamb). Food was accompanied by one of La Caille's house label reds (Choix Evidente), and dessert was an off-menu item, along with La Caille's (in)famous Irish coffee. Palate cleanser was a saffron sorbet .

I have nothing negative to say about the food, either as far as presentation or taste goes. The sous-vide octopus is something I'll have to make at home; it was served neither rubbery nor mushy. The lobster bisque was poured table-side - in the past, I've had soups come out of the kitchen cold. No such issues here. I'm not too much of a salad person, but the beet salad was excellent.

The lamb was cooked perfectly (medium rare), and the duck was executed nicely as well. Nothing was over-seasoned. Whoever's been tasked with re-establishing the menu has done a great job with the attention to detail - all of the embellishments were done properly.

La Caille does a magnificent tableside Irish Coffee, which we enjoyed and which - if you're going to order a cocktail or dessert drink - is definitely what you should get.

Overall, La Caille is back to good. The organizational issues seem to be less of a systemic problem than they were in the past, and the food has gotten much better.

Expect to spend $80-$120 per person without drinks, $120-160 with them. Note that this is not Stanza (which I also like) or The Copper Onion, where you can wear flip-flops and not be too out of place - everyone seemed to be doing at least business casual, which I found gratifying. The crowd on a Saturday night seemed to be mainly older (50+) types, which, given the demographics of where La Caille is located, doesn't seem too unusual.

My verdict 3 or 4 years ago would have been "Go to Log Haven instead" if somebody had asked my opinion of La Caille. I'm happy to, based on my most recent experience, recommend La Caille again. And I'll particularly call out Grayson and Oscar for their fine customer service.

Absolutely GORGEOUS place, it felt like a fairytale with a little woodside cottage lit up by fairy lights and lanterns. And super great for social distancing outdoors during covid. Waitress and hostess were SO friendly, they moved us closer to the fire and heater to keep us warm which was super sweet. Food was amazing.

I think the atmosphere is amazing and better than the food, generally. Great drinks and service. The appetizers were delicious. The whole night felt magical. It's like being in an another world.

Amazing environment. From the moment you leave the main road you are transported into another time and place. Food is great in quality but not in quantity so you may leave feeling nearly as empty as your wallet.

Expected Snooty-French; received quality, friendly dining! The food was fantastic; the service great; the scenery inviting. I have to say that I was thoroughly impressed. I took my wife for a late birthday celebration. I really thought we would have to endure a we re-better-than-you environment. But what I didn't expect was a welcoming, enjoyable experience. Thank you to the folks at La Caille I will come back!

Tucked away in the foothills of Sandy, in the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon is this wonderful French chateau. Serving French cuisine that's pleasing to the eye and tantalizing to the taste buds. An upscale dining experience with a professional wait staff, that sits on 20 acres of fairytale like grounds, that are as beautiful as the entrees. Bring your spouse for a magical evening.
