This is everything it's cracked up to be. Huge, beautifully detailed architecture and well maintained. Must visit. Added bonus (corona) is the fact that tickets are available without reservation and there aren't many visitors.

One of the most beautiful places I ve ever visited. Things like the Alhambra and Reconquista are the only things in textbooks to me until I visited here. But when I was here, I had to imagine how it was like to have a life here and lose it. The architectures are gorgeous. Everything you see in/from Alhambra are breathtaking. You could easily spend a whole day exploring and you should definitely book your tickets in advance. It s a mast visit place.

Beautiful, amazing place. So much history and atmosphere. I was here a few years back in late spring and it wasn't too busy. The architecture, tiling, colours and patterns are just marvellous. It's also beautifully lit up at night, which makes for a magical sight as you walk through the older part of town.

A stunning medieval complex with spectacular houses, courtyards, fountains and gardens. One of the most spectacular places we have ever visited. Easy to lose yourself in the ambience and imagine what life must have been like centuries ago. Bring extra batteries for your camera and a spare memory card, as it will fill up quickly. Book your tickets well in advance and budget for the best part of a day.

Located in the autonomous region of Andalusia, South of Spain at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains.
Remains from early population go back to 5500 BC and a community was built by Arabs in 711, from this time is the grand Alhambra Castle. In the 1100 century the city remained an Islamic Kingdom but mainly run by a large Jewish community. Only in 1492 the city was overtaken by force an became Catholic, eventually over time the Jewish population was expelled.
From this time we have the Cathedral built in 1504 and a beautifully designed Royal Chapel.
Here we have a true historic city with a mixture of Islamic, Jewish and Christian culture, a Mediterranean climate in the mountains.....

The Alhambra in Granada, where I had the opportunity to visit 3 times, once on my own initiative, and the other two for the company, is by far the largest, most interesting and best-preserved site of Arab culture and architecture in Europe and the most frequently visited tourist site in all of Spain. In my opinion, the whole effect is spoiled a bit by the Charles V palace, which was added later, nice in itself, but not quite suitable for this place. The photos do not reflect the scale and beauty of this place, you must see them in person.

What a stunning place and what a luxury to almost have this palace to ourselves. Everything is efficiently organized and the sheer beauty the buildings and parks is breathtaking. Plus the gorgeous view of the old town of Granada makes for a great day.
We didn't purchase tickets in advance as there were barely any tourists in April 2021.
