Didn't you take the temperature at the entrance? I think it's a little too loose.
Didn't you take the temperature at the entrance? I think it's a little too loose.
If you care about animals at all, do not visit. Obscenely small cages and they are clearly suffering because of it. Utterly disgraceful
It's too hot, lions, tigers, monkeys...
The kids outside aren't moving at all
I couldn't see the children (crying)
It's close to all the animals, so I'm very satisfied with the powerful construction.
I went for Yabuinu!
Isn't this the only place where there are so many bush dog goods?
It is an ideal zoo where you can enjoy and learn, such as present planning in a quiz format.
Tiny but has many animals. Poor tiger space so small
I often go after renewal. However, many of the animals will die because they are old, so I think it will be difficult to purchase them from now on.
leave early in the morning to be able to park near here. Parking prices start at 800 yen 1200 yen. 5 minutes walk.
Pay 600 yen for adults. free children. strategic location and close to the city center. so it's easy to take a bus or train.
Although it is not large, it is a beautiful zoo that is compactly packed.
I think that it's a great place to go out because you can eat lunch in the park as if you had a picnic.
It was great excitement to see from a different angle.
Visited after a long time. It has been more beautiful than before. The love of the keeper's animals can be felt everywhere.
Although the garden itself is small, it was very interesting because it was made interesting by devising such things as seeing the lion moving back and forth between the cage and the weaving room, and it felt close to the animals. I definitely want to go there again! Some animals would enter the animal house around 3 or 4 pm, so I think it is better to go early!
There are no pandas, but they often appear in movie and drama scenes.
During the Golden Week holidays, a tech shop was open in front of the front entrance of the zoo, but as I saw it, I was smoking cigarettes in the way the person was sitting, so I felt that parents and children would not be very close.
Renewed and easy to understand in the garden, please with your family
The animals are well taken care of and we can pet some of the docile animals. Fun place for family with children.
It's not too wide and you can see the animals up close.
There is a whole animal. It is not too wide so it is easy to turn around.
Surprisingly enjoyable. Wise use of space to benefit animals and visitors alike. Chilling proximity to some beasts. Few gimmicks but it works so well.
If you have time, you can bring your children to walk and sire animals.
Small. Good for kids. But mature person will find it sad for various reasons. Lions and tigers are so skinny, I don't know why! Unexpected in Japan.
Small but very enjoyable Zoo. Animals look happy. Everything well organized. Very reasonably priced. We enjoyed the visit a lot. Highly recommend!
I could see the giraffe's face nearby. My daughter's first zoo. I was wondering if I should go in Corona, but it was good to go.
It is neatly maintained.
I think it is easy to come because it is not too crowded.
However, there are not many places to eat in the vicinity, so it is better to consider the time zone.
The place is suitable for families of all ages to visit. Most of the zoo is flat (unobstructed), and the area is not very large. You can walk around for two hours. There are not many animal species, but some wild animals have less space for habitats. Tourists have a lot of oppression of animals, and these animals seem less lively. Air-conditioned restaurant, souvenir shop, and library. Take a break after your visit.
It's pretty fun. On weekdays, you can get a gift with a stamp rally.
There is also a contact square and there are many families with parents
The male tiger was very big
I am sorry that there was no lion
It is adjacent to Okazaki and Heian Shrine.
A new and clean zoo.
The giraffe is also devised so that it can be seen from above.
There are quite a lot of elephants. You can see it up close.
The souvenir shop at the entrance was full of people
There is a resting place where you can see the entire hydrophobicity of the Incline when you go to the back. It is a superb view.
There are lots of benches, and you can eat your lunch freely.
There is a shop next to which large stuffed animals are sold.
Entrance fee is 600 yen! ?
It was a wonderful zoo to be enjoyed by the family.
Around the afternoon in summer, the animals were sick of the heat. But penguins are cute. good!
The finishing is very clean, no smelly animal smell! A good place to lick children
You can see it from the second floor of the Kirin, but it's nice to see it.
An old zoo. A zoo familiar to the public. There are various easy and convenient animals.
This is a Terrible Place, do not go here, this is the worst zoo I have ever seen, the cages are small, the animals are dying of malnutrition and starvation, it is very, very sad. #FreeKyotoZoo
I visited for the first time after taking a walk. Surprisingly beautiful and enjoyed enough.
The second zoo in Japan. It has been renovated for about 7 years and reopened.
Unlike the time when I visited in the past, the exterior and interior were full of cleanliness.
The scale is small to medium, but it can be entered at as low as 600 yen (500 yen for presenting a one-day ticket, or 100 yen for university students under the Kyoto City Campus Cultural Partners system). I want you to stop by even when you visit Heian Jingu Shrine.
It is renewed and clean, and the number of toilets is increased. Thank you in winter. I go many times because of these considerations. The birthday party for animals is elaborate and recommended.
A precious zoo where you can see your favorite ginger.
I think children are fun because it is compact and easy to turn around and cute Ferris wheel. There is a library at the entrance and a cafe where you can eat crepes.
I thought it was a small zoo from the exterior,
I was surprised that there were many kinds of animals even if the number of one kind was small. It was fun to check because the animal name was a mix of Japanese and Western children
It's smaller than Kobe and Higashiyama Zoo, but it's a good size to take a young child.
There aren't many types, but I was satisfied.
Speaking of Kyoto is a sightseeing tour of shrines and temples, but the zoo is a great place!
There are times when you can see it in the night at 8 o'clock, and it is very interesting that there are things that the responsible breeders will explain about some animals It will be healed!
I went because it is a zoo with a gorilla. I went on Saturday, but I was able to see animals slowly. The gorilla child was also cute! There is no zoo-dedicated parking lot so you have to walk a little, but it's worth going!
In the Kansai zoo, the elephant is slightly smaller.
But the garden interior is very beautiful.
Rather than taking lunch in the park, people who eat outside
It became beautiful and easy to see
The lion has died.
It's amazing how close the Amur tiger is.
Renovated several years ago, the facility is very clean, and you can see long-lived lions and Amur tigers as soon as you enter from the entrance. Isn't it rare to see it so far? Anyway, it is a masterpiece.
There was also a touching corner, so even small children could enjoy it, and gorillas seemed to live with their families, so they could see the living situation with glass, and the overall distance was close, so it was great.
I went there for the first time after the renewal. The Tennoji Zoo is so large that you can look around it just by looking around, but it is so compact that you can enjoy watching the animals and you can see all the animals slowly. There is also a contact corner, so if you come with children, you can enjoy it all day. There are restaurants, but the day I went there was crowded and I didn't want to wait, so there was only one Takoyaki restaurant outside, so I went there. You can eat lunch even in the park, so I will bring it with me when I go next time.
It's not large, but it's my favorite at the healing zoo that I can see slowly and relax! The tiger is cool!
The entrance fee is low and it is very easy to visit. The site is not large so it is easy to see and has recently been refurbished and has become beautiful. Large animals such as gorillas, giraffes, elephants, and mackerels can be seen nearby, and there are rare birds such as cranes and flamingos. Next to the Heian Jingu Shrine and the Kyoto City Museum of Art, it's a good environment for walking and is recommended.
The favorite thing is that you can see the giraffe very close!
Chikaraago is cute!
Lunch is also nice in the park!
Large zoo, the big cats were forced into small cages for people to look at and were very unhappy and discomforted, we were refused to buy a disabled ticket by the lady on the till so we had to pay for full price tickets.
The site area is small and can be turned in about 2 hours, but the feeling of operating with great effort has been transmitted.
The price is reasonable and relatively easy to access. It is good because the garden is beautiful.
For a European, this zoo is sad to see. Very little space, no fictional environment. Some nice species to see that said.
I asked about work, but it is a zoo where all the staff are doing their best. It is a zoo that is not so large, but it is an indispensable facility in Kyoto.
Next time I will visit as a general tourist.
Personally, my impression of the zoo was unavoidably dirty, but it was beautiful because it was renewed, and it was a zoo with a Japanese simplicity that is typical of Kyoto, with a splendid garden. The distance from the animals was kept by the corona measures, so I couldn't see it nearby, but it can't be helped. Rather, it was good to have a good attitude to take measures not only for humans but also for animals. The contact corner was suspended as part of the measures. The red panda was very cute, and there were many elephants, which made me feel like a zoo, and I got the impression that there are many kinds of birds. The naming sense of each animal was interesting, and the explanation touched on the personality, etc., and the keeper's love for the child was conveyed.
There is a restaurant in the park, and although I haven't eaten, I was also a person and was popular.
Everywhere there was a sticker saying "Don't touch the window glass (antivirus measures)", but the children who were really touching it seemed to be flirting. My parents are also nearby, so I didn't pay attention ... I want you to look around and be careful.
I took my kids to this zoo a few times while our stay in Kyoto. It s an amazing zoo. They have quite a bit of collections. The animals are well taken care of and the facilities are nice and clean. The zoo is well layout with clear directions/signs. They have petting area. It s a kids friendly place. They also have a little library at the cafe area. I highly recommended this place.
I went so cute that the lion died, but I was really impressed with the flowers! After that, there were not so many people, so I was able to relax slowly, and there were small playground equipment, so the children were happy to play. It is a small zoo that cares about touching and interacting with goats and sheep, but it is always fun. Also, I want a little more space for eating, such as lunch boxes. (With roof)
Although it is small, I think it is good for families with small children.
It was great that the Tsushima Leopard Cat baby was released! It's about the size of the park!
Cheap admission, very small enclosures with almost all of the animals seeming clearly distressed. Very bleak environment, do not recommend.
Good selection of animals for a zoo this small but the way they are kept in those cages basically amonunts to animal cruelty.
The facilities were new and beautiful
Admission is affordable!
There are many monkeys such as gorillas, baboons and chimpanzees.
A connection with Kyoto University?
It's cheap, has a good variety of animals, and is lovely in Autumn.
My daughter likes going here, and we're happy to oblige on a day with nice weather. They have strollers you can borrow, but there's a limited supply so if you go late in the day you may miss them.
You can eat there or bring in your own bento from outside. There are plenty of seating areas inside with nice views of the park, so we like to bring our own food and drinks.
Another good point is that it's within walking distance from Keage Station, and is also within walking distance of Nanzenji, one of many famous temples in Kyoto. Between the two of those places, you can fill a lot of the day.
The yabuine here is really cute and you start seeing it, a few hours have passed before it happens.
I went for a long time. The work was finished and the animals were easy to see. Although it is not so big in Kyoto city, it can be enjoyed enough for a whole day.
There are not many customers for the renewal. I do n t think it s really good for me
Although the site is small, educational content is also included and you can enjoy it.
I went for the first time after being renewed, but it was very good. I did not feel the peculiar smell of animals and was able to run slowly.
The smile of the staff, the cleanliness of the toilet, the garden that does not smell like animals, the power of the tiger (laughs), the volunteer spirit
In recent years, a zoo that has been exhibited in a reasonably close form in the original ecology of wildlife that has finally become popular.
You can go around the park relatively quietly with little noise and smell.
This is a zoo where you can feel the love of wild animals that human beings should be given.
I am thinking about walking in a narrow space. The contact square is also fun.
However, because it is in a popular spot, parking fees are not easy. So it's -1.
It's good because it's compact and you don't get tired when you walk.
A zoo with a few western gorillas in Japan
Meet cute animals.
Giraffes and elephants are very close.
It is said to be the oldest zoo in Japan.
Nice little zoo, the vitality of the animals is very good!
Cheap and fun!
A place for people to relax!
I want it to last a long time.
It is a wonderful place to enjoy adults and kids!
It's beautiful and it's not too wide so I enjoyed it leisurely!
I visited after a few years.
Since there is no parking lot, I used a coin parking nearby.
There aren't any special animals, but the exhibition room was stuffed and awesome.
This zoo is an appalling display of animal cruelty. Small, filthy enclosures for large animals that are not designed well for those animals. No shelter from elements in most enclosures, many had hardly any foliage at all. Monkeys were kept in a concrete pit and many other animals had nothing to climb and no room to fly. There is an obvious lack of staff and management here. There were more people working the gift shop and greeting customers than working the grounds and caring for animals. It would seem that hardly any cleaning is done in enclosures. Many of the animals were underfed and clearly stressed out. Big cats were just walking in circles as they had no place to lay, no shelter or toys. The elephants very stressed and had no shelter or foliage. There was a zebra alone in a small enclosure that was basically a pit of mud. Penguins and turtles swimming in poorly designed enclosures with filthy water. The hippopotamus was kept in a small concrete room with no natural light, a dirty pool and no access to grass. It was an absolutely abysmal experience and has soured what was otherwise a great trip. If anybody reading this knows of any animal rights groups in the area or anyone directly opposing the zoo that I can talk to and support please let me know. Something needs to be done.
