About KY YMCA Youth Association
The Kentucky YMCA Youth Association is a non-profit organization that serves as the home of Kentucky’s YMCA Youth and Government programs. The association provides middle school, high school, and college students across the Commonwealth with opportunities for service learning, civic engagement, and personal development.
The KY YMCA Youth Association has been serving the youth of Kentucky since 1963. It was founded with a mission to empower young people to become responsible citizens and leaders in their communities. Over the years, it has grown into one of the largest youth organizations in the state.

2) Model Legislature & Court: This program gives students an opportunity to experience how laws are made by simulating legislative sessions and court proceedings.
3) New Horizons: This program focuses on leadership development through outdoor adventure activities such as rock climbing, canoeing, hiking etc
4) Governor's Scholars Program Alumni Leadership Institute (GSPALI): This program brings together alumni from Governor's Scholars Program (GSP), which is a summer residential program for outstanding high school seniors in Kentucky who are preparing for their senior year or first semester/quarter of college/university study
5) Civic Engagement Programs: These programs include voter registration drives; candidate forums; issue-based advocacy campaigns; lobbying trips etc
6) Diversity & Inclusion Programs: These programs aim at promoting diversity awareness among young people through workshops on topics like race relations; gender identity/expression; sexual orientation etc
7) College Access Programs: These programs help prepare high school juniors/seniors from low-income families or underrepresented groups for college admission process by providing them resources like SAT/ACT prep classes; financial aid workshops etc
