It is three towers towers in the capital city of Kuwait, and is one of the most important tourist attractions and entertainment in the city. Officially opened in 1979, visitors can eat and drink at the top of the main tower.

Site
Kuwait Towers is located opposite Dasman Palace in the Sharq area of the capital, Kuwait, on the shore of the Arabian Gulf. It was established as a symbol of the country's urban and economic renaissance.

Technical features
The idea for the Kuwait Towers began in 1963 but stopped, and then reappeared in 1968.The designs of these towers were taken over by a Swedish company, but its construction was assigned to a Yugoslav company in 1975. The towers were officially opened on March 1, 1979.

The number of Chinese dishes made of iron coated in eight different colors about 55 thousand dishes, and these dishes coated towers balls in colors consistent with the color of the sky and the sea. Kuwait Towers is divided into three main landmarks: the main tower, the middle tower and the smaller tower.

The three towers range in height from 113 meters for the lighting tower (the smallest) to 147 meters for the water storage tower (the middle) to 187 meters for the main tower. The diameter of each at the ground (respectively) is 8 meters, 12 meters and 20 meters.

Services & Entertainment
On the ground floor of the main tower there is an outdoor seating section, a training hall dedicated to the reception of VIPs and hosting meetings and training courses.

The main tower contains two balls: the first is located at an altitude of 82 meters above sea level, and there are service centers such as "Horizon Restaurant", one of the most famous restaurants overlooking the Arabian Gulf.

The second ball is the "revealing ball", and includes two parts: the first part is fixed and has a height of 120 meters, and the second part is mobile and located at an altitude of 123 meters.

The second part of the Revealing Ball is a full half-hour course and is equipped with a telescope to see all the sights of Kuwait in the area surrounding the towers. There is a gift shop and a cafeteria to serve fast food and drinks. The main tower also has two elevators to take visitors from the ground to the "revealing ball" in 35 seconds.

The middle tower is a water reservoir with a capacity of one million gallons, while the smaller tower is devoted to illuminating the other two towers through powerful headlights installed in it up to about one hundred.

In 1980, the towers won the Aga Khan Award for Islamic Architecture. The award committee said the construction of the towers was an attempt to integrate modern technologies, aesthetic values, functional needs and social services into a single facility.

Destruction and restoration
The three towers of Kuwait were severely damaged following the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait on August 2, 1990. The damage to the towers was 70 percent, according to official Kuwaiti sources.

The destruction included the destruction of technical devices and equipment, breaking glass, burning some roles and cutting electrical cables. The cost of these losses was estimated at KD 2 million.

After the removal of Iraqi forces from Kuwait, the Touristic Projects Company, which oversees the towers, formed a committee to assess the damage and restore the facilities, and electricity was restored to them after repairing and maintaining the electrical stations and the water network. The reconstruction efforts took nearly two years.

The repairs included dyeing the towers from the outside and restoring them from the inside, replacing furniture, decoration and gardening, and providing equipment, supplies and restaurant supplies for the three towers. On December 26, 1992, Kuwait Towers was reopened to visitors.

In addition to these three towers, the center of Kuwait City is the Liberation Tower, a telecommunications tower that was officially opened in 1996, occupies an area of 21,000 square meters and is 372 meters high and is among the highest towers in the world.

The place is ok. It s a unique local landmark for Kuwait City, but they need to take better care of it as it s getting older. For example, the glass sphere needs cleaning, because it was very dirty when I was looking through it from inside the tower. Also, the garden around it (within the fence) is very random. It needs more greenery and organized trees.
The entrance to the tower was luxurious, and the cafe at the top seemed good. As a first-timer to Kuwait City, you should visit this place, not necessarily because of the experience, but because it s the main local landmark in there.

I always wanted to see it. I was still a schoolboy when I saw it in the Gulf War and wanted to get there. Very interesting, just do not visit during the summer months, because the heat is unbearable.
