Fantastic! However, the chairs are extremely uncomfortable.
Impressive and interesting as all of Stockholm. It was a nice weekend and not too expensive considering the discounted rates of Ryanair
Always a nice experience on stage, even nice with a drink during the break
Guided visit really good. Nice guide. Really enjoy it. Place is amazing
Very quiet, clean, and interesting. Very nice people.
Affordable opera in a beautiful setting. Well worth a visit.
Only open during particular seasons and time periods, even for visits, remember to check timetables
Beautiful intricate designs inside with ample feel of Swedish royalty. Every corner is a feast for the eyes.
Visited you at the premiere of Dracula and had a wonderful evening. Professionally friendly and impressive arrangement! Well planned, clean and neat.
Magnificent and elegant theater. Very easy and convenient access.
Nice and good opera. Crowded in cafe and not optimal for breaks
Beautifully. Nice performances. Minus that the wardrobe is free too crowded when people sit with the clothes in the knee.
Really good, but unfortunately there are some places where you really can't see anything at all.
Have seen the entire Nibelungens Ring by Wagner here as well as several of Richard Strauss's operas. Beautiful opera house.
Very beautiful building. Unfortunately, not fully functional for setting up modern opera sets. Stockholm should get a new opera house. The current Royal Opera must, of course, also be retained to enable more sets.
Magnificent temple of muses, which can be visited even without admission.
A great place where the wings of history really win around the visitor. The only negative is the comfort of the gangsters.
Insanely beautiful. The aura is magnificent. Recommend
It's amazing. I love the music and the house tells it's own story. I have also been treated very nicely by everyone who worked there. A center of Swedish culture
Take some champagne at the break on the terrace. Book it before the performance starts and you get your pwn reserved table served when you arrive. Absolutely wonderful experience
Guided tour. Great guide. Interesting story. Can really be recommended.
High-quality entertainment in slightly worn premises. Nice with coffee and refreshments at break, but far too few seats.
I went there but didn t get chance to go in, I love music but never get chance
Unbeatable.
What environment. Which musicians and amazing singers.
A very beautiful building. It's worth to buy a ticket just for admiring the interior of the opera but you wil probably enjoy the play too.
Often good operas, nice experience and beautiful architecture and interior
Interesting guided tour that you can very well cost you.
The place to eat before watching the show, as well as the outside, can come to eat or sit and drink the beautiful place.
The only opera House in Stockholm. Every opera fan should pick a performance. Live this place
Modern building located in a new area of the city where all buildings are very modern in design. It is a multifunctional building inside decorated with bamboo which is a great insulator concerts are held. From its wide holl and outdoor terrace you can see the sculpture of the lake sculpture. Its sloping roofs are used in winter as ski slopes and in summer for sunbathing.
Do not compare with the opera in Moscow and St. Petersburg. In Stockholm, everything is much worse.
Site that is worth visiting in a place surrounded by monuments and museums.
We couldn't get in, but it's a beautiful building. If only we had time to visit
Has been accepted as a date just passed and it is a large amount, about 800kr. Calling the ticket box and all I can hear is that it is invalid now and that they can not do anything about it. Yes, yes, but there are some exceptions they may think they can do when the amount is so high and when there is money paid for the gift card to be bought. Easy to miss dates when you get emails in addition. The woman in the ticket box spoke like a robot. This is actually rude!
We had a wonderful time seeing Kite perform live here! It's grand architecture, and the sound environment + stage features were very impressive.
The opera is wonderful! In addition, disabled friendly!
It is always just as powerful and cool to go to the Opera. Too bad that more people do not dare to go there ??
Chandeliers, red velvet armchairs, balconies where up to 4 people can sit, marble statues and an apparently small stage, but it transforms without problem
Spectacular building in the central area of the city, just in front of the small port of Norbro. The square where the opera house is located is also beautiful and full of light.
Good experience! Very nice building! If you buy tickets online they ask you to print your ticket but if you don't you can go directly to the opera with your reservation in hand and they will print the tickets before accessing. Have you got Wi-Fi!!
Beautiful opera! During summer you can have a drink at the terrace. Highly recommend a visit.
Incredibly beautiful local. The opera is also slipped
A house you always want to hang in. Beautiful, Nice with nice performances.
Excellent architecture and even better performances!
Only the wonderful interior makes the Royal Opera worth a visit. Furthermore, the fact that it offers first-class cultural experiences in the form of opera and dance makes this a favorite. Do not forget to book a break in advance for gold edge on your visit.
Tosca. Nice set and decor. Always nice to visit the Royal Opera and see the nice interior etc.
Wonderful atmosphere with a wonderfully beautiful setting. Of course, how good you think it is depends on what is shown. However, the chairs could be much more comfortable. Would rather get married than sitting five hours and see a Wagner opera in these armchairs ...
Wonderful experience! Absolutely magical, we saw Alice in the wonderland ballet.
The interior is really old-fashioned and the orchestra is also awesome.
The price is also cheap, so it is recommended to visit once.
A small place, but elegant, we saw ballet and modern dance, sitting in the second row, the field of vision is just fine.
Closed to public the day we visited but its a stunning building
Beautiful building.I really cannot understand why, an opera that respects itself, sells tickets of seats that have no visual communication with the stage. Also, the sitting plan that is online, is not really true to reality because it showed a column right on the left of my seat, which i found out was right in front of my feet. Left 10 minutes after the show started. I understand that 110 SEK don't buy the best seat possible, but i've been in many theaters across europe, and this is the first time such a thing happens.Too sad, because i was really excited for this.
Kungliga Operan, The Royal Swedish Opera House, is a world-renowned institution that has been entertaining audiences for over 240 years. Located in Stockholm, Sweden, the opera house is not only home to the Royal Swedish Opera but also to the Royal Swedish Ballet, Young at the Opera program, and the Royal Swedish Orchestra. Together they create unforgettable experiences for adults, children and families alike.
The history of Kungliga Operan dates back to 1773 when King Gustav III founded it as a way to bring culture and entertainment to his people. Since then it has become one of Europe's most prestigious opera houses with a rich history of performances by some of the world's greatest artists.
Today Kungliga Operan continues its tradition of excellence by presenting an array of operas and ballets throughout its season. From classic works like Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro" and Verdi's "La Traviata" to contemporary pieces like Philip Glass' "Satyagraha," there is something for everyone at this iconic venue.
In addition to its mainstage productions, Kungliga Operan offers educational programs through its Young at the Opera initiative. This program provides opportunities for young people from all backgrounds to experience opera firsthand through workshops and performances designed specifically for them.
Another unique aspect of Kungliga Operan is its commitment to sustainability. The opera house has implemented several initiatives aimed at reducing their environmental impact including using renewable energy sources such as wind power and geothermal heating/cooling systems.
But what truly sets Kungliga Operan apart from other opera houses around the world is its stunning architecture. Designed by architect Axel Anderberg in 1898-1905 in neo-classical style with Art Nouveau elements on top floor balconies; it features grand staircases leading up into ornate foyers adorned with crystal chandeliers that lead into opulent auditoriums filled with plush red velvet seats.
Overall, Kungliga Operan offers an unparalleled cultural experience that combines history, artistry and innovation all under one roof. Whether you are a seasoned opera-goer or someone looking for a new cultural adventure - this iconic institution should be on your must-visit list when traveling through Stockholm!
