Kruse and Muer on Main Review

Food is soo good had the Seafood Panroast and Hubby had the Gulf Shrimp Scampi!! Peach Sangria is AMAZING!! Our waitress Michelle was very attentive.

Yesterday, on Mother's Day, I called the downtown Rochester restaurant at 12:45 for a 5:00 pickup. The guy I spoke with told me that I needed to call back at 4:00 to do this. I told him I was a bit concerned about it being Mother's Day but he assured me it wouldn't be a problem. Of course at 4:00 they tell me it will be a 2 1/2 hour wait and I explained what Patrick had told me earlier. They wouldn't help me so I asked for a manager and explained my situation. I was shocked to be lectured that there was no way they could know that it was going to be busy on Mother's Day and refused to help me. Really? You're shocked that Mother's Day is busy? Between the incompetence and lack of caring, you can do better than this restaurant.

ALWAYS excellent Service, ALWAYS the BEST food-consistently. The manager Jackie is wonderful and very hospitable. She always makes sure everyone is happy. We have been going there for years.

As with any Kruse and Muer, the food and service are top notch. Their menu is diverse, but some items are little pricy- but as they say, you get what you pay for. Wait staff are very attentive and friendly. Place is clean and comfortable. Has a really good atmosphere. Warm bread is served as an appetizer and is always great. As long as they keep up this level of service and quality, I'm a customer for life. Definitely recommended.

Overall experience was good, the server was attentive and food came out in a timely manner and was very tasty. My only complaint is that the hostess told us it would be a 20 minute wait (no big deal as they were crowded and we didn t make a reservation) and after 15 minutes of waiting, a group of what I m presuming to be her friends and/or family comes in and she immediately seats them, before seating us. This is highly rude, unacceptable and unprofessional. I was in the food service industry for 9 years and a rude hostess is a great way to lose customers. Not sure we will be back because of this.

This used to be a favored place for my friend and I to meet and have a great chat time with great food and good wine. I went out with a gentleman friend of mine and he bought me a "Distinguished Guest " card for my Birthday since he knew my friend and I frequented the restaurant. Well then my friend was injured and had to go through therapy and we finally got to meet on my Birthday a year and three days later. I was shocked when they would not accept the card, it had never been used. I realize the card had expired by three days but seriously. We really contemplated just getting up and leaving but instead we had a glass of wine and a couple of appetizers, while we ate we decided it would be our last visit. It was such a bizarre year for my friend and she felt terrible that we had not been in as often as we had for so many previous years. I understand rules but I also understand customer satisfaction and wanting to keep people coming back. I am sure we would have ordered more wine and two complete meals and quite often a dessert to share it seems it would have been well worthwhile for you to bend just a bit. I don't know what good my sharing this will do but I needed to express my disappointment in an establishment I had held in high regard for many years. I will add on your behalf the calamari and wine was good so with sadness we will find another place to meet several times a year for catching up.

Great setup, really great and the prices are not high at all, and yes the food is excellent.

The staff here are always incredible and accommodating with minimal wait times even during heavy dinner and lunch rushes. There's a very relaxed and warm vibe that emanates from the intricate decorations that you may see if you weave in and out of the multiple rooms available. Plenty of seating is a staple along with a lengthy list of alcoholic drinks, including cocktails and wines of all kinds. The bread here is a staple for most along with the handmade pizzas.

My wife had the yellow tail tuna steak, I had the cheese tortellini with grilled chicken. We each had a cocktail too, service was good, food was excellent, and it was quick too. Very good price wise, we will definitely be back.

The chicken tortellini is the best dish ever! Very nice place to go out for a glass of wine amd enjoy with fiends and family. Highly recommended.

Excellent, went in a large group and the waiter Mike was able to handle it, always quick with our requests and aimed to please, they even added 4 spots extra even though they did technically have the room.

Decent food, price about what you'd expect for Rochester, but terrible service. Save yourself the hassle and drive to their Village location. It'lI still be busy, but the service will be better.
