This used to be a favored place for my friend and I to meet and have a great chat time with great food and good wine. I went out with a gentleman friend of mine and he bought me a "Distinguished Guest " card for my Birthday since he knew my friend and I frequented the restaurant. Well then my friend was injured and had to go through therapy and we finally got to meet on my Birthday a year and three days later. I was shocked when they would not accept the card, it had never been used. I realize the card had expired by three days but seriously. We really contemplated just getting up and leaving but instead we had a glass of wine and a couple of appetizers, while we ate we decided it would be our last visit. It was such a bizarre year for my friend and she felt terrible that we had not been in as often as we had for so many previous years. I understand rules but I also understand customer satisfaction and wanting to keep people coming back. I am sure we would have ordered more wine and two complete meals and quite often a dessert to share it seems it would have been well worthwhile for you to bend just a bit. I don't know what good my sharing this will do but I needed to express my disappointment in an establishment I had held in high regard for many years. I will add on your behalf the calamari and wine was good so with sadness we will find another place to meet several times a year for catching up.
