Krav Maga San Francisco Review

Joining the Krav Maga Institute is one of the best decisions I've ever made!!! I am so thankful for having the opportunity to train at all 3 bay area locations as well as the school in Fort Collins. All instructors are highly qualified and are truly dedicated to what they do. No matter what background you come from, they always make your progress their best interest. I highly recommend the Krav Maga Institute to anyone interested in learning the best self defense techniques available.

Danny Zelig is an outstanding coach and trains his students to prepare, if possible, to be caught off-guard. This saves lives. Krav Maga Institute s instructors foster a community attitude, healthy lifestyles, and trust among its members of all abilities.

Krav maga is truly a self-defense system, and Danny reminds trainees that there are no boundaries or bells to signal the end of a fight in the real world. The fight is for your life, and you will learn to approach it accordingly. You will gain heightened situational awareness and muscle memory in order to capitalize on natural defensive reflexes, and learn to respond effectively to a variety of situations. Most importantly, you will learn to survive.

I am not big, I am not strong, but I am still here. Danny and his instructors prepared me for the psychological strain of an attack on my life, and I believe that this helped me to survive a scenario that I should not have walked away from. For that, I will forever be a proponent of krav maga as a life-saving system, and Danny s instruction in particular.

I've been training with Krav Maga Institute since 2009 from when it was in Berkeley. San Francisco has the same great training in a boutique location in Hayes Valley. Great community filled with a bunch of hard workers. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a big fan of Krav Maga for self defense, especially when it's from the highly qualified instructor staff at KMI!

The KMI schools in the Bay Area are great! I am based in NYC but have family in the Bay so I visit the area 3 or 4 times a year and visit as often as I can during my visits there. The team is led by Danny Zelig who is one of the most experienced instructors working today, he and his team are professional, supportive and provide some of the best self defense training available in the USA. There are three KMI schools in the Bay area alone and if you are a visiting member (from NY for instance), you have access to all of them. If you are new in town and want to learn self defense, meet new people, make friends or just get fit, then KMI is definitely for you.
