This company is horrible to work for and they don't care much about quality. They treat the employees horrible and work them like dogs so you can have the kitchen of your dreams.
The cabinets we ordered looked beautiful but were horrible to install. They were not square at all, they were unaligned, the shelves do not line up, there was glue and hardware that had to be scraped and removed, and some of the pieces on the cabinets were uneven and had to be cut...this was all at a premium price. Needless to say we have been extremely disappointed for all the stress and frustration they have caused to install due to sloppy manufacturing.
We had a house fire a little over 10 years ago and had Kraftmaid installed during the rebuild. We have had 2 minor issues since then and customer service has been AMAZING. We are still very pleased with our cabinets, they have held up very well and Kraftmaid was by far the best company we dealt with during the reconstruction of our home
Kraftmaid has an awful quality and quality control problem. Unfortunately we decided to "upgrade" to KraftMaid cabinets when we ordered from Lowes. This has been a terrible experience, from late delivery by their shipper to multiple damaged cabinets (not damaged in shipping).
We had to order one cabinet 3 times, and it still isn't right. We have ordered 5 sets of doors for one cabinet and they still haven't been able to get us a quality set. From stains to scratches to warped doors, none has come right.
One cabinet was 1/4" out of square, but it was installed by the time we noticed. We didn't expect to need to check every cabinet for square. That's what a cabinet is after all - a square.
Additionally, "All Plywood Construction" is very misleading. There is some plywood, but it varies greatly by cabinet, and most of the backs are still 1/4 cardboard.
Cabinets order in early February. 2 were damaged and 1 was the wrong color. We were told that our replacement cabinets would arrive May 23, which is today. It takes a month for expedited replacement cabinets! Well someone screwed up and we only got one cabinet today and the other 2 will arrive NEXT WEEK! We won't even be able to install the one delivered today because it's not the next cabinet in line. Our lives have been on hold since early February! I wish I had read all the reviews on here before ordering because that would have prevented a lot of heartache and headaches. I would never have ordered from Kraftmaid knowing what I know now. It's been an absolute nightmare dealing with Kraftmaid, while trying to build the kitchen of my dreams.
Heed the reviews and go elsewhere.
There is no quality control with these guys. Also, there is no follow up once the damaged cabinets arrive. They tell you to just live with it. Who wants to spend $25,000 on damaged cabinets, qnd just live with it?
Quality of cabinets is poor. The doors come with missing paint, chips, dents, and other issues. Customer service does nothing to resolve the issue. Buy at your own risk.
We are Kraftmaid Cabinetry dealer and I've been selling their product for 9 years. Customer service is phenomenal and and there cabinet box construction and finishes are the best in the industry for semi custom. The only thing that's missing from Kraftmaid repertoire are Inset cabinets.
We received cabinets on August 4th and we had numerous problems with the order. We didn t unbox the cabinets before the truck left just because they have to drop off cabinets to other customers. Well that was a bad move. Part of their M. O. The sink base cabinet was not even on the truck and they damaged the corner cabinet, the pantry door was missing and another door was damaged.
Found out today that the sink base cabinet will not be here until Sept 25th. My contractor had to go work elsewhere because that cabinet is holding
Up the entire project. I don t know when the other material will be here. We ll be eating out for over a month 3 times a day. That s pretty expensive, but I know they could care less. Lowe s couldn t help either and don t care. Both Lowe s and Kraftmaid got their money. Thanks for screwing it all up for us Kraftmaid. I hope one day you go Bankrupt. I ve heard the other storys about you, but I found out too late.

There is a company out there that keeps records, backs up their quality products and the replacement of hinges for free -- there is a lifetime guarantee for the hinges. What a great company and the customer care lady was one of the finest ladies I have spoken with in business in a very long time. THANK YOU, KRAFTMAID!!!!
I am a Builder in the Housing sector. I am appalled that i can not get replacement cabinets in a timely manner. 4 weeks for a standard mirrored medicine cabinet with a light bar????? Seriously? Well my relationship with Crapmade just went right out the window. I need a partner that can keep stock items....well..... INSTOCK!
The worst quality I ve ever seen. Absolutely the worst. They have been replacing cabinets and doors for us for months. New ones come in and they are junk. It must be lights out manufacturing because there is no way they are looking at this stuff prior to shipping. If your doing a renovation, do not go with Kraftmaid. These are replaced panels that have damage. Now I have to wait 3 more weeks.
We bought a house which had installed all Kraftmaid Cabinets at some point. They are at least 10 years old. They still look new. Every contractor we have had in the house has told us not to get rid of them. We have kids and they are open and shut all the time. So basically we have redone our kitchen around the cabinets. Would buy again in a heartbeat. Our kitchen has the cabinet that acts like a pantry. GET IT!
Most expensive and absolutely the worst experience of my life has been this kitchen remodel with Kraftmaid cabinets. On the first delivery all of the base cabinets, microwave, and pantry had been dropped and broken and had to be reordered. Reorder and wait another 2 to 3 wks for replacements. On the 2nd delivery base cabinets were ok, however pantry face frame had a mfg defect. Reordered and waited 2 more wks further delaying the project. Today 3rd pantry came and had to be refused because it was the worst yet with nicks and scratches all over. A 4th attempt is being made but this is absolutely ridiculous! No credit for the constant inconvenience, and little communication on replacements. The quality control and customer service are awful. So disappointed with my cabinet choice and am concerned about the longevity and durability. Do not purchase this product line, it is not the brand or quality it once was.
I spent $2,000 on a nice vanity thinking I was getting one. It s made with nice quality wood and hardware. Installed it on a absolutely perfectly flat tile floor. When I put my level on it, the front face board where the countertop lays on was not level. Just to make sure I use a string. The center of the board was about 3/16 higher than each of the corners. Now I have to buy an electric planer to fix the issue. I called kraftmaid and their solution was to take it back out my second story window and bring it back to homedepot. They will send it back and fix it. I ll probably have to wait another 6 weeks to get again.
I'd give it a no star if I could. We've ordered cabinets 4 times and they still can't get it right. And their customer service is horrible. They know nothing and no body cares. DO NOT ORDER , THESE ATE TRASH!!!!!
I was under the impression that these are the best cabinets to be made out there.So we order them The delivery man first tell us they won't bring them into our house Who doesn't bring big heavy cabinets into customers' houses? Then the delivery man don't even strap down the cabinets on their dolly or hand truck and they drop them and break them five weeks later we have no replacements our countertops are due to come in and we still don't have the replacement cabinets I hate this company They suck

Stay away from this product. I spent $30,000 on my new kitchen cabinets 1.5 years ago and they are literally falling apart.
The pain finish is peeling off the doors, the panels are splitting, and the miters are opening on almost all of the doors. We paid extra to upgrade the finish (twice) and the pain is peeling off.
I submitted a warranty request which they denied claiming "normal wear and tear". I then called to question and after waiting more than an hour on hold, I was told they did see some issues and would review with their supervisor. After waiting two months for them to contact me, I call them and was told it was once again denied. I spent an hour on the phone with one of their Customer Care Leads who told me this is "normal". He also told me he would ask the sales person to contact me but couldn't promise he would. He went on to explain that the do not "control" their sale people and if they choose to not respond, there's nothing they can do about it.
This company is a joke, their products are very poor quality, and they don't stand behind their work. (look at a few of the attached pictures. I have 60 of them - what a mess)
Beware this company does not stand behind there product!!! After spending over $4,000.00 on just four bath cabinets I was told that because my cabinet was installed they could not do anything for me. I documented the cracked cabinet with pictures before installing the cabinet. The cabinet was only installed so my Granite Co. could get an accurate template. they gave me the run around for 3.5 weeks before telling me that they cannot do anything for me because it was installed. Two installation screw holes can make there warranty worthless. BEWARE I have spent thousands of dollars with this Co. in the bast 4 years and this is what I get. If I could give no stars I would.

Ordered 12 cabinets from KraftMaid. 9 of the 12 arrived damaged at the factory. Had to reorder 10. Then 9 of the 10 again arrived scratched, rough edges, improper staining - poor craftsmanship. The company offered to only replace 3 of the cabinets and then send a repairman to fix the brand new cabinets because it was only "cosmetic'. Thought Kraftmaid had a good reputation when we ordered them. I guess we were proven wrong. Wouldn't recommend this company for cabinetry.
My husband works here and they work their employees til they re dead, no raises no advancement and they work 13 hour shifts! They care NOTHING about their employees or their families it s all about the all mighty dollar
Bad product. All of the cabinet doors are de-laminating after only 6 years.
It is clearly a factory process default. They will not replace the doors, becouse I am the new owner. a good company stands by their product no mater what. see pic this will happen to your cabinets over time.
Bad Cabinets, Bad company. Purchased a condo with Kraftmaid cabinets only 5 years old. All of the doors started to delaminate. I called the company and they would not honor the warranty because I was not the original purchaser.
If you make an inferior product, own it and fix it . One of the selling points of the condo were the Kraftmaid cabinets. I own my own business and I would never do this to a customer or potential customer. It is clearly an inferior product and a company that just doesn't care about their reputation. They also make Merillat cabinets. Stay away !
I'll just say I ordered a very nice affordable medicine cabinet through Lowes and it was delivered pretty quickly. Unfortunately the center mirror was cracked. In just a few email exchanges with Kraftmaid a new mirror was sent directly to my house. Thats Customer Service you can brag about these days ! Well done Kraftmaid.
I am an Interior Decorator and I have used kraftmaid cabinets for all my projects. I have ordered cabinets here in Cleveland with delivery in several different states. No problem with design, delivery or customer service.
Great place to work-I'm there part-time now.people easy to work with, too.
