A little persistence on the phone really pays off. We had a lady weekend and got a reservation for 7:30pm on a Friday. The food was amazing. The first several seafood bites were refreshing and balanced, and there was an incredible beet/tomato tartare. The highlight was definitely the pork (large format). The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and it was a fantastic wine pairing. It was nearly a 3.5 hour dinner. Great experience, and one of my favorite tastings.

Went here last Saturday and parking took me ages, they dont offer a valet. But the food was so good and the presentation was superb, i felt like im at a master chef kitchen or something . The price is a bit expensive but its worth the money, not something i can afford often but once in a way yes
Only problem is that you need to make a reservation early because restaurant is always crowded.

Really fantastic upscale Greek food. The flavors and textures are nuanced, balanced, and interesting throughout all 12+ courses. You won't regret going with the wine pairing ($85) despite the price, they poured 8-9 different wines and beers. Some stand out dishes for us were the green pea anglotti in duck consomme, sea beans and quail egg, bottarga toast, fois gras mousse, goat shank & pitas, and the incredible beet sorbet dessert. Note - they don't allow pictures of the food!

Ate here for an early dinner for NYE. Great prix fixe which allowed us to explore the great menu. The service was just as it should be - timely, knowledgable and the MD was excellent. Warm and inviting. Will come back and bring friends.

I gave three stars just because it's still on the list of Michelin list. Besides, the service is good. What I wanna say is the pretty salty food. There were at least three courses which were too salty to bear. Additionally the main course did make us disappointed. It was served with flat bread with some pork and sources. I have to say it was just like the pancake I ate in China, although the taste was not bad. For the main course no creativity and surprise as a Michelin restaurant.

Love Komi. Their attention to detail is impeccable. Everything that comes out of the kitchen is perfect, super creative. Service is outstanding, probably because it's obvious that the servers love their jobs. One complaint - been a few times in the past year, and every time have received the lamb and/or goat gyros as an entree, which a) isn't the absolute best and b) mix it up a little! :)

This place is not going to be for everyone. First, it is expensive...for 2 people it is going to be around $450. It is also going to be a long dining experience, as each of the 10 plus courses are served to you slowly. You will perhaps also not enjoy every course, as people's tastes do vary, but your taste buds will truly enjoy the experience. You will taste the salt, the truffle, the Rooibos, the Chamomile, the mint, the honey, and all the other flavors served to you. The staff is well trained, professional and friendly. The place is immaculate and has a nice understated atmosphere. If you can get past the sticker shock, it is a wonderful culinary experience. By the way, there is no menu...it is Chefs Choice only...however, they can accommodate allergies.

This is an okay restaurant nothing served was outstanding or remarkable, and nothing was bad. Service though was good.
Definitely the least memorable of any Michelin starred I've been to and certainly not worth the cost.

"We can accommodate many dietary restrictions, though we are not able to create a version of dinner that avoids egg or dairy."
Well, at least you're honest up front, but all this really means is you're just too full of yourselves to try because you could if you wanted to.

AMAZING service, great food. By "amazing" service, I mean, near psychic. I ordered a drink, didn't like it, didn't complain. The sommelier comes over and says, I don't think you liked that, try this instead. What she chose was fantastic. The servers asked about allergies and dislikes, and each of us was served in compliance with the answers.

The only downside (and I mean the ONLY one) is that they don't take parties larger than four. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Absolutely delicious. Expect approximately 12 courses most of which will be small. The main courses were pretty large though so you should leave feeling satisfied with the amount of food. I usually have the opposite issue where I get full too easily. At Komi, dinner is spaced out over a few hours so it was enough time to eat everything without getting over full.

The food itself definitely stood out. The combination of house brewed birch beer and oven roasted cheese stuffed date was a delicious stand out. The small bites had nicely balanced strong flavors while the mains were well executed more gentle flavors in greater quantity.

Komi maintains a comfortable and upscale atmosphere without feeling oppressivly fancy. Our waiter swapped local restaurant suggestions with us so that was really nice.

It's street food masquerading as haute cuisine in all the worst ways. The dishes lack any sort of finesse or imagination, but they are presented in a format and at a price (oh god, the price) which would suggest otherwise.

I don't mind paying for really good stuff, but I do mind paying an order of magnitude too much for merely ok street food.

This is, I think, as close to perfect as you can get in DC. The food is spectacular -- clever, imaginative and absolutely laugh-out-loud delicious. The service is the best I've had in DC -- attentive, knowledgeable, prompt -- and then invisible. When we went they sat only 2- and 4-person parties, which makes for more effective, dramatic service. This place really is about the food. Don't look at the bill, although it's worth every penny.

My mother took me to Komi and I was just blown away by the exquisite food and service. I loved how when every plate was served to us the servers told my mother and I what we were eating and how it was prepared. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like try something different you will not regret it!!!
