About Knowledgeworks foundation

At KnowledgeWorks, we partner with learning communities to ensure each student graduates ready for what’s next. We’re creating the future of learning, together.

KnowledgeWorks Foundation: Creating the Future of Learning

KnowledgeWorks Foundation is a non-profit organization that partners with learning communities to ensure that every student graduates ready for what’s next. The foundation believes in creating the future of learning, together. With a focus on personalized and competency-based education, KnowledgeWorks is committed to transforming the traditional education system into one that prepares students for success in college, career, and life.

The foundation was established in 2000 with a mission to improve student achievement by supporting innovative approaches to teaching and learning. Since then, it has worked with hundreds of schools across the United States to develop new models of education that meet the needs of all students.

One of KnowledgeWorks’ core beliefs is that every student has unique talents and interests that should be nurtured through personalized learning experiences. To achieve this goal, the foundation works closely with educators and school leaders to design curriculum frameworks that are flexible enough to accommodate different learning styles while still meeting rigorous academic standards.

Another key area of focus for KnowledgeWorks is competency-based education (CBE). This approach emphasizes mastery over seat time, allowing students to progress at their own pace based on their individual strengths and weaknesses. CBE also encourages collaboration between teachers and students as they work together towards shared goals.

In addition to its work with schools, KnowledgeWorks also conducts research on emerging trends in education and advocates for policies that support innovation in teaching and learning. The foundation’s thought leadership initiatives include publications such as “Forecast 5.0: Charting the Future Course(s) of Learning” which explores five potential scenarios for how K-12 education might evolve over the next decade.

Overall, KnowledgeWorks Foundation is dedicated to creating a more equitable and effective education system by partnering with communities across America. By leveraging technology, data analytics, research insights from experts around world we are able provide innovative solutions tailored specifically towards each community's unique needs so they can prepare their learners better than ever before!
