The owners, Beth and Steve have a beautiful place and no detail is overlooked to insure the guests comfort, and enjoyment. The location in the Nueces river valley affords guests to take advantage of the scenic beauty in one of the oldest areas in the state of Texas to be colonized by the impresario Stephen F. Austin. If you get the opportunity to go walk down along the river which runs through the property, you will find yourself transported back to time primeval. Take advantage of a visit to this unique one of a kind treasure.

I've been there twice now, once for a romantic getaway and once for an office retreat. Knolle treats their guests very well, have rustic yet nice facilities, and has top notch food. I'll be back!
Amazing and beautiful are the best words to describe this ranch. The rooms are the absolute best, the service for the wedding was perfect the food was perfect the wedding cakes were deliciously moist and beautifuly decorated. I wish I had my wedding here.
I can sum up our stay at the Knolle Farm & Ranch Bed, Barn & Breakfast with one word ... WOW!! My husband and I stayed here in June 2014 to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. We stayed in the Chapel View cottage, which, just like its name implies, has a incredible view of the beautiful chapel, along with the sprawling wetlands pond.
In the pond, we spotted endangered woodstorks wading alongside brilliantly pink spoonbills, ducks, egrets, and other birds. We also heard the constant chatter of songbirds such as mockingbirds, cardinals, sparrows, red winged blackbirds, and more. All from our back porch! In addition, we watched birds from the infinity edge pool, which also overlooks the pond. So relaxing!
Incidentally, if you love birds, the ranch is also host to two peacocks. They were not aggressive towards us, kept to themselves, but were a beautiful site to see. Absolutely breathtaking.
And now, the FOOD. Oh my goodness. We opted to have all our our meals prepared for their chef, Joe, and we believe it was worth every penny. Breakfast being included in the cost, we had no idea what to expect. We thought, like a lot of places, it would be a simple meal. But my gosh, what an amazing surprise ... Stuffed french toast on raisin bread, omelets, stuffed sausage pastry, pancakes, cheese grits, thick sliced bacon (not that cheap stuff you'll find at a lot of places!), sparkling cider, fresh fruit. And the dinners! Cooked-to-perfection steak & hens, veggies from the garden, cowboy potatoes, salads with fresh herbs and dressings, fresh baked bread. And dessert!! Don't even get me started on dessert! I may be ruined when it comes to "regular" food for the remainder of my life. :-D
They mention "unpretentious hospitality" on their website, and I would say this is another area where the owners and the staff truly excel. My husband and I are not super fancy people, and we tend to shy away from such venues. But at Knolle Ranch, while the decorations and amenities are gorgeous and the food is on par with a five-star restaurant, and the staff pleasant and professional, they are also warm, inviting, and welcoming. They made us feel right at home. Beth, Steve, and the staff were constantly available during booking and throughout our stay, but not intrusive. They are just good people. :-)
My husband and I cannot wait to come back. We hope to visit in the winter so that we can see the waterfowl that migrate to their ranch in huge numbers. If our June birdwatching experience was any indication of what's to come in winter, I'm sure it will be a sight to see!
We're planning a wedding at the Knolle Farm. There are so many decisions one has to make in planning an event like this, but Mrs. Knolle has made us feel at ease. She, as well as the staff that we've met with so far have been very friendly & very professional. We feel that Mrs. Knolle's experience & suggestions have helped us resolve many concerns we had regarding our upcoming wedding. I truly would recommend the Knolle Farm to anyone looking for an awesome place to hold their event.
I got married here about 3 years ago. My husband & I fell in love with the ranch & with the owners. Beth was such a sweet heart to me and my husband & made us feel so special. I spoke & emailed with Beth every week & had meetings regaurly regarding our wedding. The food, the cake, the flowers & the decorations were exactly how I wanted them. My guests were in awe on how everything turned out. There was a miscommunication on the time the wedding ended but my husband & I were okay with it. When the clock struck 12am the wedding was ending & no one wanted to leave because we were having such an amazing time. Some of our guest were a little too upset & fussed, and made a big scene. I deeply apologize to Beth & her husband for how some of our guests reacted. The time went by so fast & we did not expect it to ever end! If I could go back I would definitely have handle my outraged guest accordingly. I appreciate everything the knolle farm did for my wedding! My husband and I loved everything thing about it! The rating for 1 star at the buttom of the page is obviously my sis n law.. but she had no idea about any of the details. I planned my wedding & I am a gracious woman that thought my wedding would never end with the man of my dreams definitely not a cluts! Some people just give their 2 cents when they are not needed. My husband & I were extremely happy with the way the reception turned out & we also stayed the night. Beth and her staff had an amazing breakfest made for us & the guys got to go fishing. Beth's husband also took us on a tour of their ranch & we saw so many amazing animals! We give this venue 5 stars!! It was an amazing experience!!
This place is horrible, my little brother had his wedding here and they kicked us out early. Turns out that the owner went and changed the contract the day before the wedding!!! of course the bride being a cluts and happy doing all the last min details for her perfect wedding didn't really get to read what the lady emailed her and just said ok. Horrible lady to do that to them and the guest. I would not command this place to anyone!
Lovely views. Family-friendly. Cozy rooms and guest houses. Fabulous food prepared by a trained chef. Drew, Beth, and Steve were all great and thank you for the free upgrade.
