Everyone I've met here is terrific, friendly, and helpful. If you live near Fairmount, having a place like this nearby is a godsend. Their meat prices are terrific and priced well, most of the food there is reasonably priced for a small Philadelphia market. That's a pretty rare thing.

I don't know what the complaints are about, I love having this market right down the street from me.

Great place to shop for groceries and is a staple for the neighborhood. Whether you need a couple things or enough to last you for a couple days, Klein's makes great use of its smaller space with a large variety.

There is an air of rude + elitism steeped in this business' practices + service. Haven't been in this space for years, BUT frequented it with a family member previously. Tried again, recently, only to feel the same energy, accompanied by a friend who received + noticed it immediately. The prices aren't comparable to other local businesses + markets. They are often times significantly higher.

The friendliest supermarket I've ever been to. They care about the things you want and go out of their way for every customer they can. It's also astounding the amount of products they carry they really seem to have everything!

I can count on Kleins to have all the basics, and many specialty items. It's a small space but the staff are always helpful in pointing me to where to find things. What I especially value is the ease of making a quick visit and not having to wait in lines to check out.

Klein's has a wide variety of products, considering its small space, including fresh deli products, fresh meat and fish, fresh fruit and vegetables, and fresh bagels daily (get there fairly early - they sell out or the choices get limited). Prices are similar to most larger markets, though there aren't the sales large markets have. A good, convenient neighborhood market makes up for that.

Very over priced, they like to profile and follow u around the store. I feel sorry for the residents in those high rises who actually spend their money there. You get the crazy stare like u have 2 heads from ppl behind the counter. Been in the neighborhood since the 80s nd u still can feel nd see the racism that goes on in this neighborhood.

Sick and tired of being sick and tired! The only reason it got 1 star is because I had to rate it and I can give that rating to the things that they have in store, though a little over priced. My husband and I do not appreciate being followed around in the store, every time we go there. First we're asked if we want help, then the silver-grey-head-caucasian-guy appears in every corner we go to still asking if we want help. He also uses other customers so he can spy on us, having meaningless conversations within our view, we look up and catch his eye and he smiles. Its sad that we still live in a time where African Americans are still being treated unequal...We can't even shop without being racially profiled. I feel sorry for their employees and just because they hire African Americans, it doesn't mean that they're being treated equally....NEVER SHOPPING THERE AGAIN!!!

Great little market that males living in the city a pleasure. They do carry all the essentials in the sizes that are proportionate to row house living. All this within walking distance for residence of Fairmount. If this market were not here city living would be much more of a challenge.

Klein's is such a pleasant place to run to when I have forgotten something at the big grocery. They have a lot of items in the small space, but it's always clean, the people are always pleasant and there's some great fresh produce and even herbs! My secret stash!

As many others have said, great place for quick stops on essentials.

BUT also sneaky good bagel selection as well! Almost hard to find, they're just to your right as you go in the door. Pretty much bagel shop quality at grocery store prices. BOOM!

Good for quick stops and had a decent variety considering how small the place is. Slightly higher prices but it's to be expected based on convenience. Staff is always kind and offers to help if you need it.

The Bacon wrapped filet must become a national treasure. I'd come back if just for this, however, the menu offers many more expertly crafted dishes and the service is great. The price is always right as well!!

The staff is very friendly. The location is convenient. It is not the largest shop but that is okay it has mostly everything you could need. I have talked with the owner a few times as well as he is around a lot and he is always so friendly!

Convenient neighborhood grocery. They have an impressive selection for the size of the space. More expensive than big grocery stores in the suburbs for sure but it's the best option in the area. Always very friendly.
