I read the reviews before going in and assumed that it would be a bad experience since I have a tight budget to work with. However, I guess it really depends on which consultant you get. Mine was Sydney and she was fantastic, really made us feel welcome and listened exactly to what I m looking for. She took a good look at the dresses I had marked favorites and pulled other great dresses, and she was also really helpful in the elimination process. Great experience overall.

Don't judge Kleinfeld based on Say Yes to the Dress. My dress was very affordable, and when I went to pick it up I was able to try it on prior to leaving the shop. My consultant back when I said yes to my dress was Michelle and she was wonderful to work with. If I put a dress on and hated it, I didn't have to go out and show anybody. Kleinfeld is the perfect bridal experience and I'm so glad I chose to go there!

Pros: they have a great selection of dresses.

Cons:
- you don't get to browse the dresses, the consultant will bring you 4 and you are expected to choose from those. They rush you through the whole appointment.
- their customer service over the phone is the absolute worst, you wait on hold for 15 minutes just to have someone answer the phone and be rude.
- appointment times mean nothing to them, you are expected to be there on time to sign in then you will wait 30-45 minutes beyond your appointment time for them to call you back (for fittings)
- if you live out of the area, it is even more difficult. You need to return 3 times for fittings within 6 weeks of your wedding. After your final fitting, you aren't able to take your dress home for another week (so they can steam/clean the dress), so you are expected to make another trip down to pick up the dress. They convince you to drive instead of flying or taking a train due to the dress getting wrinkled.
-but the worst in my eyes is their pickup policy, they do not have parking and will not bring the dress out to you. You make an appointment time to pick up your dress, Then you are expected to park blocks away, pay for parking then go sign in, wait for your dress to be pulled then walk with your dress down the street to your car blocks away. The biggest suggestion I could make to them is to have the dresses ready at the front desk during their appointment pickup time and let someone pull in front of the store and run in to grab the dress.

I m from Massachusetts and I had The absolute worst experience ever I had a set budget of 3k I was showed 10k dresses I was spoken down to...I wrote an email to complain..they said they were so sorry and that they would make sure my next appointment was the Real Kleinfelds experience ...I called to re schedule.... left messages even sent an email to schedule my next visit and I haven t heard anything it s been a month

5,000 dollar low quality tacky figure skating dresses where the samples are covered in makeup and dirt. Only person more miserable to be there was the salesperson assisting me.

Walking into the Kleinfeld lobby, my mother and I were mesmerized. We had been dreaming of this day for years and have watched every SYTTD episode ever aired. We were so excited and could feel a similar energy from the many brides crowding the area. As we waited for our appointment to begin, a cheerful young woman told us about the hotel blocks and we were happy to sign up. My consultants name was Judith, she came over introduced herself and immediately started asking about our budget. I knew coming in that my budget was considered low at a salon like Kleinfelds. My budget was $2500. I know it is crazy, but i was flexible regarding my dress just because I wanted to be a Kleinfeld bride SO badly! Judith walked us to the room and this is when things got rough. Her smile faded away as soon as the door was closed. Now I should point out that although my budget was low, I was also looking for a very simple dress. No lace, no sparkles. I tried on 3 dresses that looked identical and then tried to explain to Judith for the third time that the straps on the dresses are not going to work for me. At this point Judith got irritated, I suppose because I explained this to her between every dress and she continued to bring in things that were exactly what I said I didn't want. Now she said to me "You know most brides only try on three dresses" and as I sat there dumbfounded with my mouth gaping open she continued with "Its like you're three of my appointments". Mind you we were in there maybe 20 minutes. At this point she said she asked someone else to help. The other person (i'm assuming another consultant) came in with an incredible Ravini dress. I mean this dress was EVERYTHING. It was a bit over budget, but I didn't even care! I tried it on and immediately asked for a veil. Judith put the veil on me and then.....left. Judith left us in that room for about 20 mins on our own. Enough time to admire the dress, as well as get out of it and decide that we didn't want her to have the commission. I mean she obviously felt we weren't even worth her time. It's a shame that a consultant would cause such an iconic place to lose money and i'm wondering how many other brides felt the same way.

I made a big dream come to NY choosing my dress with the best!
I scheduled my schedule well in advance. Getting there was a dream. Beautiful dresses. Leave the dresses of 'great' Brazilian designers in the flip flops. They are different, beautiful and well finished. It has diversity of values. The sky is the limit!!! I made the best choice I could. My dress is beautiful and will look super perfect with my Crown that I bought with Glam's Accessories. What an anxiety to come my big day. You guys were awesome. Thanks.

My daughters appointment was amazing!! We went May 5th just by chance it was Haley Pages Trunk Show ( Haley is my daughters first choice)
It was packed,! But ok!
My daughters tried on I think 8 dresses came out in 4. The 4th was it and Haley Page came over took pics talked and asked the question!!

I went to Kleinfeld for my first ever wedding dress try-on session. Since Kleinfeld is so iconic, I thought I would love the experience. I had Paula as my bridal consultant. She was nice but I felt like she wasn t listening to what I was saying. I told her I didn t like beading and she continued to bring me dresses with beading. Even when I would try on a dress to show to my guests, she wouldn t even try to fix the dress or the back of the dress, my sister was the one doing that.

I really enjoyed the services and if anyone decides to go to Kleinfeld. I highly advise to book Amber Gaskins as your bridal consultant her eye for fashion and what you maybe seeking are exquisite

Yesterday my daughter purchased the wedding gown of her dreams at Kleinfeld. We chose to shop on a Tuesday as the appointments were longer than the weekend and we hoped it would be less crowded. The whole experience was perfect. We never felt rushed or pressured and my daughter was able to try on as many dresses as she desired. Ingrid, our consultant was knowledgable, patient and helpful. We also had a trainee working with us. And much to our surprise Dorothy spent time with us as well. We took pictures and she asked my daughter the famous question. And what a YES!! it was. We received the same level of attention and service when we were making a decision about the veil and hair piece. My daughter could not stop smiling and giggling. What a joy to see her so happy!. My fingers are crossed that the rest of the process goes as well.
