As an Architect, I have known James and his staff for more than 15 years. Over those years, we have completed many projects together with great results and happy clients. James' attention to detail and good communication skills have made my job much easier with a large reduction in mistakes and wrong assumptions compared to many other General Contractors I've worked with over the years. His pricing is competitive and accurate with great detail when breaking down sub-contracts and materials. I am always comfortable recommending Kinsman Construction to my clients when schedules and scope of work allow.

Kinsman Construction did a great job on remodeling our kitchen. Not only was the outcome what we wanted but they did it faster than planned! We've used other companies in the past to remodel different areas of our home but none have compared. I highly recommend. We will definitely be using them in the future.

I've just begun working with Kinsman Construction out of Golden. We are a design/drafting firm and have been trading contacts for a few months. Appreciate the quick turn around with questions and comments as the project develops, their understanding when our engineer was a few days late with delivery, as the primary contact left on maternity leave earlier than anticipated. We have visited with multiple return clients (this is the 4th project with one of the clients we now share) which gives testimony to dependability. Being in constant communication with both us as designers and the clients is high on Kinsmans's list.

James kinsman and his employees are hands down the best in the business and the best in town. There is no one better I would trust and no job too big or too small for the kinsman group. Kinsman Construction did a fantastic job on our home remodel. James organization was very honest and responsive to work with. The quality of work was very high. They use very good subcontractors. They had a good change order process for when the scope and budget needed to be modified. I would highly recommend them.

Kinsman construction has been very professional during this time of uncertainty. Everything from the time we called them for an appointment to the finished product, James and his team has made this addition a dream come true. When he gives you his word and a handshake (fist bump), it means it will happen as he promised. I would highly recommend Kinsman construction for any of your remodel, new construction needs. Looks like we found the most UNRELIABLE CONTRACTOR Kinsman Construction. This job keeps dragging on and no one is taking responsibility. You'd think they could find someone to supervise and get this done but looks like this remodel will drag on for over a year. Wow - just wow! Not comfortable even sharing our real name in this. Be warned!

Kinsman s Construction had a good reputation...but they no longer do. James has sold more jobs than they can handle and they are not using the best subs and are not managing their projects at all.

After 2-3 months of telling me they were going to fix the many quality issues...James, or anyone else from Kinsman, stopped returning phone calls and emails. Kinsman construction has left me with a project with many quality issues, and an incomplete project. I m now going to have to hire some else to fix their mistakes and finish their work, and then will have to sue Kinsman to recover the money needed to pay someone else.

Even worse, Kinsman does not pay their suppliers or sub contractors. I received an email from Front Range Lumber, saying that James never paid for the widows that were installed at my office...which is what James told me my deposit payment was for. Because James did not pay subs/suppliers on my project, anyone of them could place a lien on my property.

UPDATE: In response, James mentioned that I have not paid for the windows, and also mentioned that I was offered compensation for the windows. That does not make sense, why would I be offered compensation for the windows, if I haven't paid for the windows?

Wow! What an awful experience we have had with this company! We have had them attempting a simple remodel project. How could they have failed so miserably??!! I wish they would show up on time and do what they say. This is taking forever and now we may be in danger of a lien on our house! What more could go wrong??!!
