King Drew Medical Center Review

During the beginning of my pregnancy I would have to go into the emergency room very often and every single time I ve gone I ve received amazing service. The nurses were so attentive and kind. Like any hospital they re extremely busy, so time wait can be a little long, but nonetheless they do their job as efficiently as they can. Being new to the state and having gone to other hospitals I must say that they are far more superior to the ones I ve been to.

My mother was treated at that center and the service was fast and pleasant, just that it takes a long time at the pharmacy to give you the medicine

The urgent care is very nice really clean nurses are really friendly really helpful

This is crazy county hospital/urgent care is no help do better off paying for medical insurance they so damn slow lack of communication seem like the nurses need to have continues education on a regular basis been in the urgent care since 7:30am been sitting in a room for about two hours and yet nothing has been done o wait short on staff well hello hire more people common sense im over the county and there bs. I Had to start speaking my mind shout to the Charge nurse she went over and beyond for me once i started complaining about sitting in a room for to long she made calls and got me help thank you i didnt get her name but she was nice and communicated with me so well.

WOW, where to begin.
Dr Allen Funnye is excellent.The attention to details and being very patient and professional at every step.Dr Funnye addressed all my questions and concerns. We went over my blood work and my medications.He ordered some chest x rays and new blood work.
What really made me write this review is Dr. Funnye called me personally next day to follow up.
I see why it was so hard to get an appointment with Dr Funnye. I got the doctor for life.

Love the new MLK Outpatient Center you have almost no wait when you have a appointment the medical staff is professional and thorough. Hospital is well staffed, clean , and well design for maximum patient flow. I'm so happy with this place I'm very fortunate for thier treatment .

At the time I was 4 months pregnant and I had a fever of 102 and as soon as I got there they attended me super cool and nice staff I got a private room it's so clean does not smell like a hospital super sanitized, I want to have my baby right there.

Very clean , everything in order, just follow the signs, nurses and doctors very attentive to your questions.

The dental department never answered my appointment request.

I had a full yearly checkup at Martin Luther King Hospital. It's a great hospital. And not because it's a new Hospital, But because the people were great there. The service was fast they called me right away for most of my appointments. Martin Luther King Hospital has had a bad rap for a very long time, However, It is no difference than Cedar Sinai Hospital, Why? Because, to become a Doctor you have to learn the same Education Requirements. Dr. Anika Russell is Awesome "She was born to be a Doctor".

Today has been the worst experience I have ever experienced in healthcare. This place doesn t have any regard for patients. No
Respect for people s time. We had an appointment at 9:30 am arrived by 9am and was not informed they were experiencing a back log or apology.
I asked if there was any updates and then, I was informed there was a delay, I was called in till 12:20 and had me waiting in the room for over 2 more hours did not go into surgery till 3 pm. Employees have completed their shift and we continue to wait here. A fulls day of work with an appointment this is unbelievable and unacceptable. This is such a disappointing experience for our health care needs I would not recommend this outpatient clinic for anyone.

Its clean, newish and the stuff is friendly but somedays is really busy so you'll have to wait longer.

It's 2:30p. Been waiting with relative for 4+ hours to be seen for post-op. Had a 9:40a appointment, which medical center called to confirm. Perhaps a smarter allocation of services is warranted

Restrooms and very clean doctor's very good they care about you

I forgot I was in Los Angeles..... I forgot where I was ... And, it's in walking distance..

Going on 5 hrs of being here . Placed in a room but still no dr has come in to see me .

All my friends work there and the new management is awesome. Great nurses and happy workers.

I when in too outpatient at 2:00pm y got out at 6:00pm in had me waiting 5hours for the doctor could say your son don't have anything they had me waiting for a long time I like the Martin Luther King emergency room better

I took 2 Hrs to make an appointment the phone answering system has not been working all the time

Dental outpatient clinic sucks there's no one in the front desk

great for outpatients.... my sick and dying children love it!

Medical center is staffed by nurse practitioners and clinic nurses. Nurse practitioners don t care about your medical history. I have to ask for blood tests. They will do nothing for you and waste your time. They think they know everything. Requesting a referral to a specialist is impossible. You may die waiting. I don t recommend this medical center.

I brought my son here a few times and each time he was well taken care of, which is something that has to be done if you work in this type of field but It is nice to know that the staff cares about your concerns over your child.
This type of treatment is not something people in the vicinity are used to, medical staff from around the area are usually over crowded and underfunded which usually leads to staff members being unhappy with their jobs. Who is to say that this facility is the same or not the same but the kind of customer service here seems as if these people are happy to do their jobs.

I've been here for 4 hours. Have not seen or spoke to a doctor. I'm in tears from pain but all I see is nurses passing by not caring to see if they can do their job. I'm never coming to this Urgent care again.

When i arrived security asked why was i there none of your business when i told management they threw me out said there whete out of bus tokens hussle your way home

Emergency room experience was good. 1st time patient & I was seen by Dr. within 20 mins. Only problem was with some staff rushing to get me in and out without really diagnosing my injury. Need more work on slowing down & dealing with patients problems.

This hospital is disgusting, my mothers room should have been cleaned before them bringing her in.

I love this place, they have everything under one roof. I am new here & Dr. Soni is my doc & she is the best!!!! So thorough, she takes the time to explain everything, she is caring & I felt so comfortable with her. Everyone has been great so far, the lady in the lab with the spikey hair, the man that did my EKG, the man that did the x-rays on my neck, & the lady at the front desk, everyone has been so friendly. Glad I picked MLK as my health care center.

Shot out to Martin Luther King Jr. Medical Center and Dental Clinic. I had a really bad tooth infection. My mouth was swollen beyond belief and I was in quite a bit of pain. The Urgent Care clinic patched me up and the Dental Clinic extracted two teeth today. It was traumatic and painful but the infection is in check. I received pain medication and anti-biotics. Here is one institution in Watts, CA worthy of carrying the name of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The staff who answer the phones at the pcp 2nd floor are sooo ghetto, have no customer service experience whatsoever, don't get me wrong I'm ghetto but not at my workplace, these women are just ruuuuude, like c'mon ain't nobody got time for that, telling me my doctor's nurse has no voicemail, guuurl this isn't the first time I call and I've left voicemails for him in the past, and he has a personal recording, so who's lying now? Bye Felisha, will be speaking to your immediate supervisor again

Wonderful staff!! I recommend this hospital to everyone

Due to Covid-19 precautions, I had a phone appointment with Dr. BHARTI NACHNANI. She was beyond rude and impatient. She refused to listen to me and she got super annoyed when I was asking her to refer me to a particular medical center. She went on to tell me (angrily) that this center does not accept my type of insurance even though I had already triple checked with the center itself to make sure that they do accept my insurance. She refused to listen to me and she started getting loud with me. The most unpleasant meeting that I have ever had with a doctor.

Outpatient center has some very good, caring Doctors and nurses. What I do not like is the security guards who think they're cops. They give you very nasty attitudes. Specially a female security officer with blonde hair, half of her hair is long and tied up in dreadlocks and the other bottom half is very short almost bald. She gave me a very nasty attitude and response when I told her I was waiting for a patient. Wish I would have gotten off my car and asked for her supervisor but I had to go to work and did not want to make a big deal about it. I hope someone sees this and talks to the security guards about how they're here to help and not be disrespectful.

Great service. Friendly. GREAT BIG THANKS TO ALL DOCTORS and : Dr brooks, Dana, Gina, Jina, Stephanie and all else from Labor and deliver and post partum departments. We werr and are truly happy and thankfull for all your help ladies.

Took my 11yr old into the E.R. wheezing & very bad trouble breathing.. Triage & bedside nurse said she need a breathing treatments but doctor said there was nothing wrong and send her home..took her to CHLA and was diagnose with a severe Asthma attack... Will never take my children there

Dentistry was Awwsom. N .After they gelled my gums no pain at all didnt even feel shots .:)

They were very helpful to me .I recommended this hospital to everyone that asks me which emergency room should they go to. It's always been a short waiting period. There really up on it

Great improvement on the building, but unfortunately the staff needs a lot more training on their communication skills. Among the departments and modules. I was there today June 20th 2018 for a simple examination and the only thing the staff needed it to do was to print a simple label to get my test done and they were not able to execute that, they gave me the run around for over an hour from 1 department floor to the other and nothing. VERY VERY unprofessional specially from the front desk, to the nurses, to the employees and more I would definitely not be coming back to this Hospital or medical facilities not just me but all my social media friends and family. Every body will know about this so it wont happend again to no one else. I thought they had change but everything Remains the Same the only difference it's just a new hospital face. Thank you so much for NOTHING for all the stuff in the medical facility.
