Hotel was very clean and hip. Even though I'm giving my experience 5 stars, the front staff could have been more helpful. We had to ask how to get into the hotel and how it worked. but besides that, it was a great experience.

My wife and I checked in for our 6 year anniversary. We weren't expecting much but casually mentioned how we were celebrating our anniversary. Next thing you know we are getting upgraded to a private suite with an open terrace. It was an incredible experience and our anniversary turned out perfect thanks to Kimpton. The staff is very friendly, great location, and the rooms are very clean.

For the most part it's a nice hotel, the rooms are slightly larger than you'd expect from New York. All the basics, apparently you can get a fridge if you want but there are no microwaves. It's a nice lobby and the food isn't bad so there's not much to complain about for NY.

The worst hotel I have ever been to. The room was not clean at all, the bathtub didn t work, the phone didn t work, the light went on by itself and made noise all night. The restaurant is also the worst while they charge prices of Michelin star restaurant for a really mediocre food with no attention to anything.
I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. I couldn t really rest here and was very upset.

This hotel just exudes cool. Great design gives the lobby that feels nothing like a hotel. Three solid restaurants and bars make this a destination you could enjoy without walking outside for days. Walking distance to Penn Station and many rooms have an Empire State Building view. I love this hotel.

Great room. Good service. Nice price. Only issues were that tools next to me kept slamming their door at 2am and the veranda wasn't open to guests during the day - don't know if this was a 1 off, but it is highlighted as a feature of hotel, so should be available at all times.

This hotel is in a great location -- close to multiple subway stations, Koreatown, and a few blocks from Times Square. The property is modern looking but not overly so. Staff are friendly and accomdating and act like they actually enjoy their jobs. Two restaurants are on site and always busy.

We spent Labor Day weekend in NYC and had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Eventi Hotel. As a Human Resource Manager, my husband is big on good customer service. The people at the front desk greeted us with a smile and efficient service. Every time we passed through the lobby, the front desk personnel addressed by name and offered their assistance. The location was perfect close to or convenient to transportation to everything we had planned for the weekend. Our corner room was spacious, modern, very clean, had an awesome view of the city and was extremely soundproof! (We hate hearing people in rooms next to or above ours.) Even though we have many, many choices of hotels in New York, if we ever have to stay in a hotel in Manhattan, we will stay at the Eventi!

The staff were so helpful and service oriented. Really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. They did the little things well to make us feel valued and appreciated. The location is decent, not close to a ton, but not far from anything.

Overall the stay was good. However, the front staff was superficially friendly which quickly faded when anything goes wrong. The doorman appears to be there as a prop since only twice in a 6 day stay did they actually open the door. The staff in the bar are polite but lack any degree of warmth or customer service skills (water never got refilled once during the 45 minute breakfast and dirty breakfast plates were not removed). The rooms are clean and the Italian restaurant were excellent. If location is your requirement, this is a good choice since it s central to many subway stations and a short walk to most attractions. Otherwise, there are a lot better choices for the price. (This is a 3 star, marginal 4 star hotel at best.)

Gorgeous hotel, super convenient location, and great service. Stayed for one night for our 7 year anniversary. The hotel gave us free cupcakes and a bottle of champagne. Would definitely stay here agian!

Not the best hotel. Overpriced for a tiny room. No coffee in room, no draws for clothing, no bath tub and the poorest low lighting ever. Some lights didn t work and the bathroom sink backed up. These are cold eclectic minimalist rooms that lack coziness and warmth.

We had a voucher for a free night and were treated really badly. Check-in took over 45 minutes because there were apparently problems because we did not have the voucher in printed form (where is it still necessary these days in 2018 !!!!!) then our luggage would not be brought up until I am 18 floors down again and I asked. After all that the manager said we would get a $ 100 voucher or something like that as compensation, 3 bottles. It should have been water and an old fruit basket ... check out zero tolerance ... after all the previous mistakes, not even 30 minutes of goodwill. All in all, NEVER EVER EVER !!!!

We are really not extremely demanding guests, but something like this has never happened to us (we travel very, very much).

Good job guys, go ahead with this style of costumer service!

You have to learn a lot about costumer service!

Hip swanky hotel near Herald Square with lots of class.

+ Modern large rooms with a spacious bathroom.
+ Very comfortable bed and furnishings.
+ Close to Herald Square and Korea Town, so great for shopping and eating.
+ Great customer service.
- Not much of a view in the surrounding area.

Kimpton Hotel Eventi is a good hotel with great price for the location. They have everything around the hotel. The atmosphere and the design is great. The only thing is that I had hard time with my reservation and when I went there I was waiting too long for my room.

There's a corner in Manhattan where Chelsea meets the flower district and the streets smell like a garden. Along its 6th Avenue line lies a hotel, which is home to the city's most prized lobby.

Equal parts luxe and seduction the lighting, leather and lure of Hotel Eventi's lobby emits a secret scent of magnetism. And though aesthetics and aroma may be what draws some in, it's the staff that keeps them there.

Hotel Eventi is my favorite hotel in all of New York City and I once stayed in 41 of the city's best boutique hotels in eight months for an article.

There is only one I call home.

As a creature of comfort, Eventi is an easy choice for any, but that's not what makes it home. Eventi is home because it's familial. A quality derived solely from the people who work there --

Johnny Lluberes.
A man of authentic charm and character, who is as efficient as he is humble, helpful and exceedingly awesome.

Victoria Tuchinsky
I introduced her to my mother. An introduction I do rarely.
But one-half minute spent with Victoria and one needn't wonder why. Class is difficult to describe but you know it when you meet it.

Francois Etienne.
My recent and first ever interaction with Francois was over the phone.
Wit and service are two qualities hard achieved on their own, and almost never appearing together. Harder still is emitting not one but both over the phone.

Pauline Stanisz.
There is a grace that few possess, and even fewer can display while in the service of others. Pauline is one of the very few. She is as lovely as she is smart.

Megan Smith made my day with a simple sentence. A talent one cannot help but applaud and admire.

Malek Hasan I had never met, and within 30 seconds of doing so, had me smiling all the way to my room.

(to name just a few among many others.)

I recently took a business meeting and NYC and my company was able to get me a room at the Eventi. The Eventi is everything you could want in a hotel and for a great price!

Within walking distance of Madison Square Garden so you can take in a game or concert.

The staff is helpful and were quick to check us in and help us with our bags.

Luxurious and warm decor from the moment you step in the lobby to the moment you close the door to your room.

Huge comfortable bed with fluffy pillows! Huge bathroom with different shower head options (rain or hand held)! Plentiful towels and expensive soaps by Etro! They also have a note of things they have on hand if you need...and if they don't, "they will go get it"!

There's complimentary coffee and tea in the morning plus a gym--unfortunately I didn't make it to the gym, pulling 12 hour days at work.

I saw this hotel as it was being built and I never thought it could be everything that it truly is. This is one sexy, sophisticated hotel! And because the Eventi was such an amazing experience, I have had the privilege of staying at the Palomar in Philadelphia which is another Kimpton property and the Eventi is keeping the standard high. Well done Kimpton.

OK hotel but a terrible, terrible service. I have never felt so unimportant and overlooked as when dealing with this hotel. Go if you want a nice hotel, but if you want a pleasant experience, stay away

Old hotel with scratches all over the wood floors and over anything with a glass surface. Not worth anywhere close to what I paid.

I paid $659 for the Executive one bedroom suite, the highest price room they had because I wanted a certain level of comfort and lesser options described a city view. I arrived at hotel at 130pm and was told the room wasn't ready and to come back at 3pm. I arrived later and when I got to my room it did not have a city view. I immediately called and spoke to the desk and was told that a city room wasn't ready but that if I packed my bags and left them at the door, they would transfer me to the correct room in the morning. When I arrived at 9pm, they had no idea what I was talking about but attempted to make a transfer. Then, after giving me the new key, the manager came out and said she couldn't do it since the room was not clean. How could it not be clean if I left this morning at 730pm and haven't been back all day? In the end, they broke their promise and instead of trying to do the right thing and honor what they told me, they took the offer away in lieu of a some promo in the future whenever I am back in NY. Sure, how do I even know they would honor then or if even the manager would even be there in 6 months. Don't stay here. It's old and there are better options I found as I walked around Chelsea. Take five min and look around for someone else.

The hotel was a very modern and chic, with a very welcoming front desk. I did have some trouble finding the hotel because the entrance is wedged in between a restaurant and another establishment. Also, the only place that says "Kimpton" is on the right door (which was propped open). The room was nice and had a great view of the city. I have one major complaint, which was about the room service breakfast we requested: it did not arrive in the 15-minute window we requested and half the order was wrong. Normally this isn't a big deal but we requested that time interval due to time constraints with our departure. Again, not normally a big deal, but with our time constraint and how much room service cost you'd expect better service.

Nice place in Chelsea/midtown. While not much around the area it is convenient in between the museums North and bars and restaurants South. Good service, good food and drinks downstairs. Rooms were clean, views weren't great but we were out all day anyways.

I didn't stay here but I did grab a couple of drinks. Uniquely decorated, the patrons were half NYers and tourists, the staff was fun.

I'd give this place a chance if I didn't live in NYC and already have a bed to sleep in.
