For this I cant even give 1 Star! It was the horriblest night on our whole trip. Never again. We were shocked. Nothing looks the way the pictures look like. From the outside its okay, but our room were much older and smelt strange. The matresses had been overused and are dangerous for the health of everyones back. The windows werent able being opened. Everything is really dirty. You see the hair of your precursor in the shower and on the bed. The bed linen were dirty too and didnt contain anything for the cheat. I dont wonder not finding any pictures of the bathrooms here. Felt like in a Horror movie. It's much too far away from the City Center. And even for the less money, we couldnt calm down after the long day and felt even worse the next morning. Spend more money if you want to feel rested. This was unbeareable. Sorry!

On the whole, everything was fine. We had a single room with shared bathroom. Everything was pretty clean but heating in the room did not work and the beds were very hard. The walls were extremely noisy. In the evening we heard things that we would rather not have heard ... Showers had hot water but strange walls. They were not completely transparent but you could see the outlines, the person in the cabin next to. Simply strange. Kitchen was very modern and very clean. Internet worked well too. For a hostel so everything ok.

Hospitable and friendly staff, clean rooms, bathrooms had a weird smell but were clean. Sink was in the room, be sure to bring your own towel...we forgot this part about the hostel :) location is wonderful, beautiful and quiet. Walking distance from a little restaurant down the road.

Nice hostel with a great location directly on the Ring of Kerry. Facilities are basic but decent (as one would expect from a hostel) and the staff is very helpful. Definitely recommended to anyone traveling through Ireland on a budget.

We didn t actually get to stay here due to a family emergency, but the staff were so lovely, understanding and empathetic. When we come back to Ireland we will definitely rebook here! Thank you KIH :) x

This home away from home was absolute perfection. The staff was incredibly kind. On my last day in Killarny I left my cellphone charger in the communal area. I took a chance and decided to email them to request that it be mailed to my next hostel several cities away. They didn t accept my offer to pay for the cost and I had my charger within days. They blew me away! If I could give more stars I would!!

A rustic hostel with very friendly staff. Has everything you would expect from a hostel in the good old style. Why is a star missing? Well, the decor could be a bit more comfortable here and there. But I'll be back!

It was doable. Not the best and with a really odd, "lost in time" 90s vibe everywhere. Good selection of movies to watch and lots of room to hang in (although it feels a bit empty most of the time). I personally felt as if I was living in a poorly done 90s horror film, but in a good way.

For the price it's okay...its a youth hostel with some high ropes and a paintball area on premises. About 10 minutes out of town . Being a youth hostel don't expect too much...booked a double private room and got a room with 2 bunk beds in. The lower bed on one of them supposed to serve as a double but it was a very small double. You get fresh sheets and pillow cases but the rest of it ( like duvet covers) doesn't seem to get washed often at all. Very basic room otherwise but not a bad price if you're just looking for a cheap place to crash for the night

A hostel at very interesting rates. The old-fashioned charm of the manor adds to the availability of staff and little extras: a fire in the fireplace, large sofas in the common room ... Everything to feel at ease, even family with children.

August 2016 Family with two adult children They put us in a Micro room with two bunk beds. There was not even a place to open the suitcases. Sad accommodation in the room Better in the common areas. Nice on the outside a bit isolated

A typical hostel. Pretty comfortable and with nice service. You can also get breakfast for an extra charge. Only bathrooms and toilets could be in a slightly better condition. The leaking pipes are not nice.

Amazing 18th century house. Huge with many rooms for hanging out. Wonderful location with nice view of nature. Service was incredible and the staff was super friendly. I stayed two nights with my boyfriend and we were sad to leave.

The place called attention but the room next to the bathroom is hell you hear when the tank fills, the water, if they are talking, when they open and close the door if they pull the chain, like a motor and also hear the toilets from below .... thank goodness it is only one night because there is no one to sleep and the children wake up and that is soon for this comment but I think the night will not improve. So I imagine that the place is fine if you are not next to the bathrooms that is hell

Stayed 2 nights and it was...okay. Too far from anything to really do stuff without having to take a bus. The beds were uncomfortable and had no safety rails and the sheets didn't fit. The whole hostel was clean enough, but it didn't seem like they sweep the rooms. The staff were friendly though, but hard to find who was staff. And there seemed to be lots of kids staying who would run and scream up and down the stairs. And the bathroom didn't have a towel.

Very nice environment. Close to killarney (you can walk to Lidl in 1/2 hour) there is no dishwasher, there is a self-catering kitchen and plenty of refrigerators to house anything perishable. There is free, high-quality w-lan, which however only in the common room and in the kitchen is attainable!

The building is really nice and has a great history. But the lodging could use a little bit of an update, especially the showers. The lady is charge is absolutely lovely, very helpful. There was a school at the same time as us and it was quite loud and busy. The location is worth it all thought.

I had a bad night! the setting is welcoming, a few kilometers from the prestigious Killarney, its lakes, medieval abbeys and carriage rides. a charming receptionist shows us our dormitory and gives us clean, ironed sheets and the hotel's instructions, so far all is well. when entering the room it is another matter: bunk beds a little crowded (some scales inaccessible because another bed is in front), and especially extremely soft. However I put 3 stars because: - the place is really pretty - the price is unbeatable for a region where hotels range from 180 to 600 per night. - even if I did not like everything, I was able to lie down, shower and they offered me breakfast for a reasonable supplement of 4
