Killington's is always a good choice for a casual restaurant when you cannot decide where to eat. There is a lot of variety -- I particularly like all their salads. If you like cheese grits, theirs are the best I have ever tasted, with a dash of heat from sirachi. We love them so much that we get them as an appetizer!

If I could put 10 stars I would. I have enjoyed the wonderful selection on their menu. So impressed with the not so "common" items and the fabulous flavors. This restaurant should be on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. It is Huntersville's best kept secret!

This is a great place for dinner and drinks on a Friday night. They serve my favorite Great Lakes beer and I've never had a bad meal. On the contrary, the menu has great variety and the kitchen takes care to put out fresh, well crafted food. And by the way, our server, Brittany was top notch. She never let my glass go dry.

Food was ok. Pricey for what you get but so sad service was that bad. Watched our server lean against the wall talking while we waited for drinks and to return cold food. Nice little atmosphere

This restaurant came highly recommended and I was highly disappointed. I gave it 2 stars because it was easy to find, the parking was good and the waitress was pleasant enough. I ordered the Pub Fish Fry (fish & chips) and what I got was truly unbelievable and NOT as described on the menu. The fish was supposed to be topped with a cucumber salad. The 'salad' consisted of one thin sliver of cucumber, a sliver of carrot and a lemon slice. The crust on the fish was pure grease. The fish was placed on top of a pile of limp fries, which were greasier than the fish. The meal also came with a tiny bowl of 'citrus jalapeno slaw" but I could taste no citrus and certainly no jalapeno. I ate about half the slaw, none of the potatoes, and I tried to pull off as much of the greasy crust as possible so I could get at the fish (which was good though there wasn't much of it). When the waitress came to remove our plates, mine had 99% of the meal left on it ... all of the greasy fries, the greasy fish crust and most of the slaw. The waitress never asked if I had a problem with the meal? I won't be back as there are too many other restaurant choices in the area.

Friendly service decent pub menu. Easy spot to drop in for a casual meal. Quite a few burger and sandwich options and decent selection of beers.

Competitively priced menu; good selection of items on the kids menu as well.

Parking can be a little tight at peak hours.

They used to be one of my favorite restaurants but they really upset me. My husband ordered through uber and was supposed to get it by 7:15. At 7:35 my husband called because we noticed it was never picked up by the uber driver. The person at killingtons said they never showed up, but then not too long after the call someone was on their way. Come to find out the resturant forgot to assign a driver. Fries are soggy, dinner is just cold, and meatloaf is burnt. They were wrong to lie and blame it on the uber driver instead of apologizing. It was already paid for so cannot cancel the order. We ended up getting our food at 8:03 pm.

Follow up: I emailed the owner and just waiting on the screen shot of the uber delivery and will update my review once I get that.

update : The owner responded and it ended up being on UBER for delivering our dinner almost an hour late. I will say Killingtons customer service is awesome to have responded and following up on the issue. Thank you again!

I wish I remembered our waitress's name because she was the best part of our experience. To start, the place was warm, fans were running full blast, but it seemed the A/C was just not cooperating.

We went for the fish and chips for my husband and he reports the fried haddock was great, but sadly we agree with other reviews, the fries are disappointing and soggy.

I had the duck wrap and found bones in the shredded meat. It also had an overly pungent (WAY TOO much vinegar) jicama slaw that I scooped out as the duck meat, sans bones was delicious. (Side note: their green beans Parmesan are just green beans with Parmesan sprinkled on top, so don't get excited, at least I can say they weren't canned or cooked to death!)

To be completely fair, the waitress and the manager offered to switch out my meals but I hate to waste food and I wasn't in the mood for anything else. They also comped the meal, so they care.

One detail, and I will also be fair with this: when I showed the manager the bones, she said, "We do our best, but that can happen." My opinion is that with that attitude an issue is just waiting to happen. Someone, someday is going to swallow a bone and it isn't going to end well. Either take greater care or take the dish off the menu.

So, with all that said, I don't think we'll go back. Just piling too much food on a plate and taking home the extra doesn't make a restaurant great for me. I prefer to finish what I've ordered while it's hot (or cold, if it's supposed to be) fresh and well prepared.

Excellent. Arrived late on a Sunday evening after being on the road all day. Not too much of a selection in the area that was open other than fast food. Killingtons was open late so we checked it out. Good choice! We both had the bacon encrusted meatloaf with mashed potatoes smothered in mushroom gravy and wow! It was delicious. Great place, good atmosphere. Only negative I saw was the ceiling fans were up a little too high and started to cool off my food. Other than that. It was very good.

We went for a family dinner there was 6 of us in our party and we were given only one menu when asked for more the waiter was not interested in giving any more when ordering drinks one of us asked for a ginger ale we were told they didn't have that until we showed him on the one menu we had it was listed needless to say we got up and left and will never go back. Rude and not knowing the menu is not who I would want working for my restaurant

What a great find! Pulling off I-77 to find a place for brunch on our long drive home I noticed Killingtons. Michael was our server and he was perfect. The food was fantastic. I had the meatloaf Benedict with cheesy grits and my husband had the chipotle honey chicken sandwich with citrus jalapeno slaw. Highly recommend stopping here.

We tried Killingtons for the first time 10/15/16 - Saturday - for dinner. It had a sports bar atmosphere and seemed to cater to a lot of regulars. They were holding a fundraiser for a regular who was fighting cancer. The restaurant filled up around 6:30. One of our senior guests felt the noise level inside made it difficult to hold a conversation. There were plenty of TVs on which to watch the football games, as long as you were not seated against the wall.

Evidently there is more than one kids' menu as we searched for chicken fingers/nuggets only to be told they appeared on the other menu. The fried chicken was not crispy and our little guest initially refused to eat.

The burger was good and moderately priced. The french fries were tasty and crispy. The food presentation of the other entrees was very impressive - well beyond expectations for a sports bar. The steak on french bread topped with spinach and cheese was a hit with the women.

Bottom line: A popular locals and regulars hangout with a solid sports bar vibe. They serve kids, but it's not ideal for them. Great for watching the game, but not particularly suitable for conversations given the acoustics.

We came here thanks to a Friends recommendation for their bacon wrapped meatloaf. The place is your typical all American sports bar. Service is good. Prices are average. The recommended dish, the bacon wrapped meatloaf, was very tasty, yet very different, as it had a white creamy sauce on top. However we did enjoy it!

We ordered beer, and the beer was so flat that looked like Ice tea, bartender didn't even notice it, we ordered food Bartender has no personality, didn't ask what sides we'd like with our sandwich, The Calamari although the sauce was good, and warm the calamari itself it was cold as it was from Frozen or already pre fried...I heard so much about this place...So, but so disappointed. Again.. Bartender never asked if food was good or anything as it should...

We went there after a Saturday Church service. Nick, our waiter, helped explaining Killington favorites. Everything was great. I had the smoked duck wrap and gouda mac and cheese, something new and delicious. My Husband had the whiskey maple pork chops and another person in our party had the bacon encrusted meatloaf. Everybody loved their food and everyone else's, as we shared. The veggies were fresh and sides could stand alone. We had gone the night before to a restaurant downtown where the food was boring and twice the price. So Good! planning to go again. THANKS. We loved this place!

Great casual sports bar / restaurant. We stopped here during a road trip back from Snowshoe Mountain, West Virginia (I think I broke my toe on the slopes, doh!). Food was tasty (had some kind of meat loaf special), and the waitress was real friendly. A couple more Stouts on tap for the Winter months would be awesome :) (I had a Porter on tap, and a chocolate Stout in a can).

My wife and I decided to try Killington's last night. Their food was very good. We both got their gastro burger. It was messy with a lot of different cheeses on it but it was good. I would recommend this burger. Their fish n' chips looked great too. We will definitely be going back. The service was fine and the manager was Great she stopped by our table a few times to make sure everything was good and to see if we needed anything.

My wife loved the soup that she got and I got a "special mashed potatoes" that had sour cream, bacon, and caremlized onions, it was good. We will be back. Oh and they had some good beer specials, including Yuengling which is good since I am originally a PA guy. also prices were reasonable or comparable to like a Chili's or other bars/restaurants.

They also had some different dishes that you don't normally see at the usual place for bar food.

Overall satisfied. Service, appetizer and drinks excellent. My wife's meal was good..my duck sandwich did not taste of duck (or slaw or any other ingredient), it tasted only of the overwhelming sauce that after awhile I could not continue to eat. I will return, but order differently.
