I had a great experience with a younger employee and on a separate occurrence I had a bad experience with an older employee. The older gentleman wanted to declare a newer Wifi connected thermostat was "bad" and refused to even look at it. A complaint to hos manager got me the younger tech who also acknowledged the older guy was a pain to deal with.

We are so thankful for Roger and Steve at Barrett (and really everyone we dealt with). Great company!

Amazing customer service! I placed a work order request on their website and requested help with our Air Conditioner. Roger called in advance of arrival and as always was friendly and professional. Roger diagnosed my components systematically and explained what he was doing. He had the replacement components on his truck. One hour later and our emergency is over. Thank you Barrett and thank you Roger!

I called at 10:30 AM for my air conditioner that wasn t working. Within 20 minutes a very nice gentleman was at my house and quickly had the issue resolved!! He even left to get a part and was still done before noon! The price was very reasonable and he was very courteous and quick!! Loved my experience with Barrett!!

AC went out last night, and I found a bad capacitor. Today, LABOR DAY, high of 95, I called Barrett's voice mail and Joe called me back in just a few minutes. Joe checked his truck and called me right back and provided the part! I am happy and cool!

I have used Barrett Heating and Cooling for years. They have always been professional and leave the area cleaner than before they arrived.

They installed a direct vent insert into a stone fireplace. Also a gas log in lower level fireplace. The insert was a very tough installation and required much thought, time and patience. They stuck to their quoted price, invested the amount of time needed to finish the job correctly. I highly recommend. This caliber of workmanship and integrity are hard to find today.

Excellent service! Tiger Plumbing talked their way into my mom's to do a 'free' inspection late on a Saturday afternoon. Inspection found a slight gas leak at a joint so they turned off gas to house and told me they'd get us fixed right away for an enormous fee. When I told them I'd look for a second opinion they got upset and left. Called and got Barrett's on-call engineer who was there within an hour. Applied a temporary fix to get my mom through the weekend. They came back on Tuesday and resealed the entire gas line at third of what Tiger wanted. If you have to use Tiger, never let them talk you into doing a 'free' inspection late in the day and never ever on weekends. Thanks Barrett's, for being there and being fair!

Barrett's Heating and Cooling is amazing. I called them for my air conditioning last summer and they were great. So when my water heater broke, I decided to call them. Price was what they told me it would be with no extra hidden fees or taxes both times. Everyone was very friendly and professional. They installed my water heater perfectly and were there at the time they said they would be. Their customer service was beyond any other company that I have dealt with. I definitely recommend Barrett's Heating and Cooling.

My furnace went out yesterday morning and being new to Alton didn't know who to call. Well I'm fortunate I called Barrett Heating & Cooling. Within 24 hours they diagnosed my issue and had a new part installed. Thank you! I'll definitely call for future serivce.

We recently contracted Barrett H&C to remove a couple baseboard registers and relocate some of our radiant heat distribution lines in preparation for some remodeling. From the initial visit to performing the actual work the firm was a pleasure to deal with. The work was completed in a professional, clean and efficient manner. Recently purchased an 1800's home. Barrett has been by twice. We are happy with their prompt service, prices and technicians.

They are highly professional, clean in their work, and excellent in service and installation, whichever you need. Very impressed with this company and their staff, couldn't ask for better professional treatment. Did my installation same day, cleaned everything up afterwards, I didn't have to do anything but enjoy the new furnace. Highly impressed with their knowledge and professionalism.
