You'd think a place that has Old Rasputin on tap would have food with style, but this one doesn't. We loved this place a year ago, but it has made a precipitous slide into mediocrity. When we turned away two uneaten dishes that were very unlike there server's description, we were asked to pay for an expensive salad instead. (Really?! Our server was clearly a proxy for the manager.) The replacement dishes might as well have been made with over-seasoned jar marinara sauce. The kids took a few bites, but turned away the rest. (They are very tolerant eaters.) The server was "unavailable" when we were paying.

Net experience: ate 3 dishes, returned 4, paid for 6, and got poor service through it all.

We won't be going back.

I am not sure if it is the restaurant itself or just really poor service. Megan, our server, seemed annoyed to be there. She brought the check out immediately after serving our food. The food was barely cooked, if at all cooked. If you didn't want to serve us or if the cooks wanted to leave, let us know, and we would have went elsewhere.

We liked to go here for awhile but, after charging our kids almost 9 dollars for fizzy water and a splash of cherry juice and overpriced butter noodles we stop going. Food could be so much better but it is not.

Food much better now and kids food much better as well. Thank you for stepping up.

Nice and causey. Best if you manage to get one of the tables near the window in the front room, else it get a little too loud. We each had a different burger and they were good. Forgot to take picture...

My fiance and I happened upon this iffy establishment one evening post bloody marys and brunch grub (sans the sangria) at Cha Cha Cha. Cole Valley proved to be the hidden hobbit hole everyone was talking about - hardware stores, Christmas lights, and grocery stores where people just know your name.

Kezar was a beacon - a guiding light to our Sunday night travels. Well, here comes the bad side. Service was less than satisfactory and downright uninviting, we waited what seemed like a download of the new iphone update to initiate a drink request, and by the time we reached 99%, the bartender was still giving us menu after menu of unwanted and slightly confusing items. I mean, seriously, how hard is it to just order a cocktail at a well established watering hole? Well, it's okay, cause the drinks got me and hubby quite buzzed, and as my fiance recalls, "the long island iced tea had more long island vibes than sweet brewed leaves."

Call me a nay-sayer, but this play is Ok. Would wander in again, but not a common destination.

Kezar is good peoples, but ya'll should step it up!

This is a nice place just not as good as the prices suggest. Wine is $13 a glass for nor cal wines that are 30 a bottle. Food is good but for two people you're looking at a $90 meal which just feels like too much when you leave. Had oysters last time I went and was very surprised that they served oysters that were comically small. Good place just needs some tweaks for me to want to frequent it.

Ooops! I thought this was Kezar Pub. Bar & Restaurant is completely different from the pub on Stanyan and worth a visit. Situated in a historic neighborhood, worth the time to soak up some flavor from yesterday and today.

Burger should be what you order! The lamb is a great choice and the side salad is better than you'll get at most places. The fries are a medium cut but somehow still pretty crispy! I got the cauliflower appetizer and it was fine but nothing to reorder - the Brussels sprouts may be another option.

THE FOOD! With Chef Lacie Smith at the helm, this kitchen is churning out some amazing stuff. My date and I ordered 3 different apps, 2 entrees, and a dessert and they were all A+'s. Highly recommend the Impossible Burger here as well as the brussel sprouts. Definitely one of the few restaurants in SF where we felt a comfortable vibe and got top notch food & drink without breaking the bank. Total gem.

Stopped in for a quick drink after work and was pleased to see a cider beer on tap. The Giants game was on the tv so I throughly enjoyed myself. The bartender was super nice and efficient. I saw some of the food coming out of the kitchen and it looked delicious. If I had more time I would have stayed and tried a burger. Next time!

Perfect neighborhood go-to with good drinks, pub classics, and some delicious entres for those looking for a bit more. Family friendly but not too loud, good portions at a fair price.

I almost always order the Potato pancakes!
We eat here frequently, and the food is okay, though I'm not sure I can see any rhyme or reason to the menu. The enchiladas are also okay, I also enjoy the mac and cheese.

I love this place because the food is really reliable, its easy to get a table, and the atmosphere is nice.

This is a great local spot with plenty of beers on tap and a bartender that can pour a proper drink. I highly recommend a Ketel One Dirty martini or a Manhattan. The music selection is spot on. Definitely a go-to spot in Cole Valley.

This place is great. It's a pub with food so good that people order it for delivery. It's kid friendly (which is important in its neighborhood context), and it's big enough that you can usually avoid kids. The bartender is excellent, the kind that knows how to make a proper Aperol Spritz.

This was by far the worst meal I've ever had in san francisco. False advertising. The burger was supposed to be hormone free free range but it was a premade burger king like patty. Good tomato basil bisque was like a can of tomato sauce in a bowl and tasted like metal.

The service was so awful; the hostess wanted us to sit directly under a blasting speaker, when I said we didn't want to sit there, she threw the menus on the table, said,"sit anywhere" and walked away. So we found a table for two in the dining room that hadn't been cleared off yet and sat down. Until the server/table clearer literally berated us for sitting at a dirty table. I've never experienced such rude behavior by restaurant staff in 36 years that I've been living in SF. Needless to say, we walked out and had a marvelous meal elsewhere by kind and considerate staff.

The atmosphere here is great. The food is reasonable and good. Their burger is tasty. Their calamari is good. The pasta with sausage is just enough and tastes great as well. The cocktails they server are unique and for the most part good. The beer selection is reasonable as well. This is in general a nice well rounded place to come hang out have a few drinks and if you are hungry get a good bite to eat.

They make great food but the waiter's/waitresses are not very good. It took almost an hour to make a burger on a quiet night. They forgot to put our order in the first time so it turned out waiting for 1 and a half hours for a burger. 1.5 hours.

Cozy.
