We always shop for our furniture at Kensington. We ordered two sofas, a swivel chair, a nesting coffee table, two end tables, a nesting end table, two lamps, an ottoman, and a candle holder to match the lamps. On the day the furniture was delivered, much to our dismay, we only had one couch. The delivery guy was great. He immediately called Kensington. They were great. They immediately called South Carolina where the sofas were made. South Carolina took responsibility for misreading the order. A rush order was put on the second couch, and 4 weeks later, we had the second couch and a gift certificate for $200 for our inconvenience. We're happy and really love our new look. Yes, there was a glitch but Kensington handled it very professionally. We are satisfied customers!

Whenever we need new furniture we start at Kensington then shop around and 9 times out of 10 purchase at Kensington. They have the best selection of any furniture store in the area. Their customer service as well as their sales people have always been pleasant and helpful.

I remember coming into Kensington Furniture over 2...

I remember coming into Kensington Furniture over 20 years ago as a 6 year old and running through the store, hiding and jumping around! My parents had their furniture for 18 years through 5 different moves to other houses and the furniture held up well.

Well, everything comes full circle! Now I bring my 6 month old to Kensington to buy furniture that I know will last for years to come. In the coming years, he'll be running through the same store I did so many years ago. If this doesn't say family trust in a business, I don't know what will.

I would not recommend buying from Kensington, as I was basically told in no uncertain terms they do not stand behind their product. WE purchased a bedroom set and after 2 weeks, I am still awaiting a phone call from the manager (I was told he was in a meeting). This is our story; Back in February we purchased a bedroom set (approx value $4,000.00) for our new home in Delaware. We took delivery late in the day of June 11th, after 6:00 pm. The set was less than satisfactory in that he drawers will not close flush with either the dresser or the bureau. My husband, since it had been a long day and they were 3 hours past the delivery time they gave us, signed for the delivery. The delivery guys even noted the issue and said to call the store the next day. We called, and got connected with the repair man-who did not call for 2 weeks until we once again followed up and he finally came out July 10th to look at the furniture. He tried to adjust some drawers but agreed there was warping which was preventing the complete closure. After back & forth with customer service, they ordered a new set. Delivery was originally set for Sept 12th, but Michele called the evening of the 10th and said the new girl had scheduled us incorrectly as they only deliver to Delaware on Tuesdays. I understand this happened , but I was PROMISED to be the first delivery on Tuesday, the 17th. Well- when I called at 10:30 Tuesday morning I was told the truck was in Fort Washington and I was 2 stops later....total disregard for the customer's schedule. When the truck showed up, the replacement set was worse than the first. There were stain drips on the nightstand as well as a chip out of the drawer. The delivery guys even tried to fix the drawers not closing but they still fail to stay closed flush with the set. On the phone with customer service, handing the phone back and forth with the delivery guys, we refused to take delivery of the new set as it was worse than the first. Susan (customer service) said she would speak to the manager and call us back. When she did, she had obviously been given a script to say to the effect of " that is the quality of the furniture you bought and that is their standard" When I said that was not acceptable, I asked to speak with a Manager. Was told he was in a meeting and would call the next day...still waiting. I also sent a follow-up e-mail the next day to Susan with picture of what was delivered and refused. So, my takeaway is Kensington is a business that does not stand behind their products and sells substandard furniture. Nor do they care about customer satisfaction after the money is in hand. Shame on you representing as a business with the following core values:

Oh and to top it off, we were repeatedly asked if the drawers closed flush on the sample we looked at on the floor ...who would buy a set where they did not??? And this would make it acceptable??
So very disappointed and I will be sure to share my story with others so they can avoid a scenario like ours.

I have been trying to order a special dining room in gray/black and nowhere was I able to order, no one was able to tell me when it would be available. Then Eladio from the Northfield store came through. And today, May15th I received my gorgeous DR. Thank you Eladio for the awesome customer service!!!!

I visited Kensington on 2 occasions and was greeted by Lisa DiCarlo and Mitchlaina Beaufils. They were so incredibly kind, helpful and informative of the furniture I was interested in. They truly went above and beyond to find me a proper mattress and exactly what I wanted in a living room set. They took their time with me through every detail and I can't stress enough how kind they both were. Because of them, I chose not to shop at Raymour and Flanagan. I will highly recommend your store and these two gems.

Original order had to be returned. They were happy to reorder what we wanted but it took 2x as long to deliver. Then that order wasn't right either. Decide on refund for part of it, never received. Calls go unreturned. HORRIBLE customer service. Would not recommend.

I would like to thank Mr. Grossman for the great deal and the quality furniture I recently bought and received. The bedroom set we purchased was not in their stock, but we had seen it online and in another overpriced local furniture store. Kensington had matched the price I had received online, and blew away the local store price by far. All I had to do was ask for a better price. Also, the delivery service was amazingly and refreshingly professional. Give them a chance and I'm sure you'll be completely satisfied as we are, they will make sure of that. Have shopped at Kensington Furniture for 3 houses, with over 15 years of purchasing from Michael (owner), and his staff. Always have been thoroughly satisfied in every way, I especially recommend working with David, very kind, ethical, and makes the customer a priority.

I just moved into a new house and ordered furniture from them as well as multiple other furniture stores. This store has by far and a way the worst and unorganized customer service. I am usually not one to complain and was very pleased with all other furniture stores I bought from, however Kensington made several mistakes and still has not been able to correct them. They had 2 months from the time I ordered the furniture until I moved in to get the piece of furniture for our confirmed delivery date. They called me a day before to cancel the delivery because the furniture was damaged. They told me they were ordering a new piece. When they delivered the "new piece" it was broken. Both the delivery guys and myself identified that this piece had attempted to be repaired and not brand new piece. I asked Kensington for a new piece this time and they offered to have someone come out and repair it. I insisted on a new piece and they said they have to order it and it will take about 5 weeks. I called back several times to schedule delivery and each time it was a different person who has no idea about the situation and couldn't commit to a convenient time for delivery. They had also promised gift cards which I have yet to receive. This is not an organization that puts the customer first and very dissatisfied about their dishonesty and inability to handle situations.

What a great experience, from the moment we walked into the store until we left. Harold was our salesman and he didn't pester like salesmen tend to do. He was awesome! His manager (sorry I don't remember her name) was great too! Everyone that worked there that we came into contact with was great. The prices are the best and the furniture is quality! And of course our daughter loved the homemade cookies. I highly recommend Kensington Furniture and will never shop at another furniture store again.

Ordered a sectional on June 2nd and was told it would take 6 weeks for delivery. 12 weeks later we got our sofa but it was missing a piece (the main part of the couch). We were told 4 weeks which up us early September. As of right now, Mid October we still do not have it. We are told November now. Totally unacceptable. We have requested multiple times to return the sofa and they refuse. They have offered a discount, which we accepted, but it has never been given. I am promised time and time again that they will call me and be in contact and I am always the one calling to get status. My next call will be to to the BBB and my credit card company. Just awful!

I was waiting for the same living room set from another furniture store just to come find out almost 2 months later they canceled the delivery because it was out of stock, FORTUNATELY I saw they had the same one in Kensington , when I arrived to the store Elaina Pinto was there to assist me all the way through, with whom I felt very comfortable with, she is AWESOME, as well as Eladio Scott made the process GREAT!!! Took 2 weeks to arrive!! I dont leave reviews, but this is worth leaving!!!! Great place to buy!!!!

Katie was fantastic to work with. I have no idea how to put fabrics together to look fun and fresh, and Katie was able to walk me through the process so we could brainstorm together and figure out what worked best in my family room. I can't wait for the delivery of my new couch and pillows!

David was amazing with helping us find exactly what I was looking for! He was so knowledgeable on the science behind how the mattress works and gave me some great tips on how to get the most life out of my mattress. David even threw in some pillows and a protector for free!

This was the absolute worst experience I've ever encountered. We ordered a sectional a month ago and I'm still waiting for it. 4 weeks of "missing the truck" and excuses from every manager telling us it's in a different state every time when who knows where it really is. Absolutely the worst service just getting lied to over and over again I will never do business there again and I will never recommend this place to anyone.

Susan in service was very helpful assisting me in tracking down care instructions for a sofa I purchased three years ago, as well as tracking down a spare part for a bunk bed I bought at the same time. While it s not a new sale, she was very prompt and helpful in getting back to me as if it were just as important. Thanks Susan!

Didn't plan on buying anything but ended up finding and purchasing a wonderful platform bed which I have been looking for. Elaina was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and very professional. There was no pressure and they let you free to wonder the store without following you around trying to sell you something. Very pleasant overall experience. One the best parts is that the bed is made in the USA!

If I could give a zero I would. We ordered a new bedroom set with a mattress for $6500 in February and was told that the mattress would take 5 days and the furniture would take 6 weeks. 6 weeks into the order we get a phone call that our mattress is ready for delivery and the furniture was not in yet. We told them we didn t want the mattress until the furniture is ready for delivery which we were told it would be another two weeks. 8 weeks into the purchase we get a phone call that they wanted to deliver the bedroom. They show up only with a mattress and at this time we called the store to find out that the furniture was back ordered, and it would be another two weeks before the furniture would be delivered. Finally, the furniture is delivered, and two pieces are damaged. Two new pieces of furniture are ordered and once again they come damaged. After many lies from the owner, reorders and damage repair we were finally done in September. 7 months after purchase, our compensation from the owner was have a nice day. As the owner said you buy a Yugo you get a Yugo.
