Kensington Creative and Performing Arts Review

I m in 7th grade but I have been hearing some good things about this school and a creative kid myself so can t to apply to Kensington creative & performing arts but really going to be depressed if they don t Except me but I do have high hopes and it might be better then Potter Thomas

They are too strict on the uniform policy and phone policy. If you bring your phone to school for emergencies etc the principal will send you home. She abuses her power with the staff and students. If you are seen walking around without a tie for a split second or shoes with white bottoms/ laces you will get a detention. They collect hoodies at the door so if your child only has a hoodie on they would have to take it off in the cold weather. There is a long line outside the door because the principal is checking for phones and not weapons. When you are 1 minute late you miss 45 minutes of your first class when it takes about 10 minutes for a class to get ready. They don't put enough money in the arts program. The school is good but the principal abuses her power and intimidates the staff and students with her authority. Many students are being sent home by the principal because their parents care for their safety.

The vice principal Ms. Vega is an egotistical narcissistic woman who tries to use intimidation on the kids... In my opinion she's incompetent. She tried to intimidate me with her authority but that didn't work. I took my issue to deputy superintendent and they referred me to the principal Ms. Augusta, she was tentative to the sittuation, said she would get back to me and of course she didn't. So imma go back to her boss, the faith office of the school district and I called NBC investigators because I feel Ms.Vegas action are repugnant and need to be addressed. My daughter is an academic beast, she chose capa because she's into dance ect. Other than that I would change schools. Oh and she took my daughter off the basketball team, but nothing of a disciplinary level took place nor was warranted.
If your child goes to this school talk to them because I'm sure the v.p is doing it to more than just my child.... My child just chose to speak up.

Good school just the staff and Mrs Vega is really annoying

This year I'll be in 8th grade. I wanted to know what the requirements were to enter this high school anyone know?
