We went to visit a home represented by Alexa. We were told there was a transferable builders Warranty on the home along with a text to confirm this, so we decided to make an offer on a home in Palm City. We waived the inspection to move the sale along quickly. After speaking with our son, he asked us to check on the warranty. We proceeded to call the builders model center and they told us this was not true. There was no warranty on the home after two years. We then asked our realtor to ask for an inspection within 2 days to secure our $875,000. Purchase. The realtor texted our realtor that the owners had rejected our offer now that we wanted an inspection. After speaking with an attorney, he suggested calling the broker. We did that to see if the owners were ever told we only asked for an inspection because of the misinformation we had been given by the sellers realtor. The broker stated she had 800 or so realtors under her so I could send her an email regarding the situation. Why bother?? That s a lot of realtors to be in charge of hmmm. I know homes are selling like it s the Amazing Race, but it would have been nice to get the true facts up front before making a decision of this magnitude. Buyers Beware and please confirm anything you have been told. I did find it condescending that she snapped at my husband when he asked a question regarding the pool. This particular agent was very unprofessional and uncertain with the facts. I m disappointed we lost the home, but I would rather wait and purchase a home from someone who is knowledgeable and professional! We will look at the sellers agent to make sure they are not from this agency.
