Kayumanis Ubud Private Villa & Spa Review

Staff were wonderful and friendly. It was our honeymoon and upon arrival we were pleasently surprised that they had upgraded us to the honeymoon suite. This hotel and the suite was one of the most memorable of our our entire 3 week holiday.

Delicious Breakfasts. We also paid for a Romantic Dinner one night, the was they decorated our villa, was just spectacular, and beautiful music playing in the background as well.
The spa was excellent and relaxing as well. Talented technicians, and the setting by the river was really special.

We stayed at Kayumanis Ubud for two nights (and then at Kayumanis Sanur) and we absolutely LOVED that place! Each villa comes with a private pool and is HUGE! You can order breakfast and complimentary afternoon tea to your room at no extra cost if you dont feel like meeting anyone else than your love

We also had a one hour massage at their Spa and it was one of the best we ever had! Everyone at Kayumanis is really dedicated to make your stay as memorable as possible. (And they are really good at that!)

One thing that we thought was really cool too were the free shuttle services to various locations like Ubud Center. As Kayumanis Ubud is located along the Aying river it is a bit further from the center and thus, taxis might try to RIP you off. But thanks to their shuttle service (Kayumanis drivers will also pick you up again) you dont have to worry about that.

Staying there was really a dream come true- perfect for couples and especially honeymooners !

This is my first time staying in this private villa. I am very lucky to get special rate and book for 4 nights. The villa is very spacious in size. It feels more like a house. Very beautiful, super great service and hospitality. It provides you with 8 small mineral water bottles, so you don't need to buy more.

In the gate there is pig farm. So the smell is not nice. But the ambiance of the villa was excellent.

Sensational, what is offered here! Everything perfect, from the villa service (you can order everything in the villa) for example "Breakfast 24h service! Fantastic the grounds, this friendly staff! Actually 6stars!

The villa, spa, staff and food were all wonderfully comfortable. In particular, the staff are all kind, and there are few staff who speak Japanese. It's a bit far from the center of Ubud, but when you want to go out, you can pick it up on time.

I stayed at the honeymoon villa for 2 nights. I applied for a package of Kayumanis Jimbaran 3 nights + Ubud 2 nights, and I got 2 nights upgraded. The price was for honeymoon, but the candlelight dinner where the petals fill the large pool was spectacular.
There is also a spa along the Ayung River where you can get pretty good treatment.
On the last day I had a meal at a restaurant in town, and I was using day use to the last minute. It was disappointing that I was just sleeping with an annoyance at the luxury honeymoon villa, but I was helped by various concerns.
However, I feel that Jimbaran was better than Ubud as a villa.

it was great experience to stay here. it feels like slightly old but also cozy for the same reason. Foods were very tasty, especially pork libs and mi goreng.
All the people are so kind.
Free shuttle, 24 hours butler are specifically great.
(Bluebird taxi is not available in Ubud)

Very nice. The place is very private. Comfortable, beautiful, cool. Access to the isolation is also not too difficult. Suitable for tourists who want to honeymoon.

A hotel that takes advantage of the jungle landscape like Ubud. The view of Ayun Valley from the restaurant is wonderful, and the pool of the hotel has a view like a jungle. The spa is in a superb view while overlooking the Ayung Valley. The benefits of being able to receive the spa for service on consecutive nights is a great deal. Breakfast of restaurant is delicious, too. Indonesian breakfast porridge is especially recommended.

One of the most beautiful resorts on this planet. Everything is high class and the staff is extremely nice. The food is great and the view from the restaurants just mesmerizing.

It's a beautiful hotel stuff is very helpful food is Ok BUT
DO NOT STAY IN VILLA SUAR . IT HAS PIG FARM NEXT DOOR SO FORGET ABOUT SLEEPING IN ! THEY ARE SCREAMING FROM 5AM TO 8AM. ITS NOT RELAXING AT ALL. AFTER 6 NIGHTS WE WERE TIRED AND ABSOLUTELY NOT RELAXED !
obviously we were not the first guests that complain about the noise and still they do nothing about it . My opinion they should warn a guests who are staying in this villa that is very loud in the morning and let them choose if they are ok with this or not! They didn't give us this choice !
We won't be coming back there !

Breakfast lasts from seven in the morning until seven in the evening and this is a feature I have not found in any other hotel or resort
You can order breakfast or any other meal and bring them to the villa
The only drawback is that the restaurant is Thai and its options are limited

It's ok but little pricy for the quality of the place. You would expect a really quite place in the jungle but surprisingly in the night you hear dogs barking & a rooster crowing all night long with ants and insects trying to bite you here and there . Not to mention there is a strong pig smell around the place due to a farm nearby. However, the staff tried their best regardless of the lack of genuinely friendly approach to guest. It felt imposed and forced probably due to bad management. I couldn't complete my stay here 2 nights in my villa and the other remaining two nights, I rather give away then to waste my time here * I booked through booking a non-refundable one and though booking was kind enough and didn't have any issue to refund but the resort just said no simple because the manager said so*
To sum it up:
Pros: Nice jungle, free shuttle to the downtown, half an hour complementary massage

Cons: weak wifi signal, very small TV not smart one, bathroom is outdoor, ants and insects, main pool is far and abandon

Absolutely loved this hotel. My wife and I stopped as part of our honeymoon.

The private villas are massive with private pool, dining and seating areas. One thing to note is that the bathroom is outside but this added to the experience.

Breakfast was very good with a big selection.

Amazing place! We went there for a dinner date. We enjoyed every bit of the dinner and drinks. Exceptional service. view of the forest was amazing too. Definitely will go there again!

Nice experience here. I use Kayumanis which is in Ubud. quite close to the entrance to Campuhan Ridge Walk. 2-3 hours from Ngurah Rai (at that time it was not traffic jam).

The hotel staff is friendly, the manner is very good and alert. The staff is also available 24 hours. Had also offered to go around and identify what facilities are available there. The concept of the hotel itself is like a villa. Comfortable, serene and suitable for a staycation. Getting to the center of Ubud takes 1 hour by car.

The food offered at the restaurant is a typical Balinese and Thai menu, but is dominated by Thai food. The restaurant scene is very healing. By the way, the entire staff is multilingual.

Other facilities provided are breakfast which can be in the restaurant / delivered to the room or floating breakfast which is set in each pool room. The pool is also quite spacious.

Tourist attractions close to the Campuhan hotel (30 minutes), Tegalalang (30 minutes), Ubud Center / Art Market (1 hour), Tirta Empul (1.30 hours).

In terms of experience here, the price is OK, the service quality is excellent, and there is a private swimming pool.

We stayed in a great pool villa! The pool has at least 50 square meters and a water temperature of 28 degrees. Only the sleeping area had 4 walls and a roof, the bathroom, the living room and the dining and kitchen area were only covered and therefore a particularly nice atmosphere!

hands down , one of the best hotels I have ever been , customer service like no other , and truly felt like a wonderful holiday thanks to them , wonderful and out of this world

BEST quiet, paradise in Ubud. The private pool villas are amazing. The staff is so polite, we have never been treated this way before anywhere else.

Even I stay in wet season, almost everyday raining thats also fine because very comftto stay in the villa to chill, swimming, working and enjoy the hot tub.

Too bad the main pool was closed because the ambience there is really great!!!
Near the main pool we can see also Ayung River.

The breakfast was nice, it's great to having other choices than in the menu.

Each day the staffs clean the villa, so every time i came back from outside the villa already arranged and cleaned.

For the access to Kayumanis not too difficult but the road was not too big because passing other local houses, but thats not a big problem at all.

You will be blown away by your villa. The pictures on the website don't do it justice. To have an outdoor living room and your own private pool is great. The staff is so friendly and receptive to any request that you have. The outdoor bathroom can take some time to get used to, because I am not an outdoors person but it does not take away from the beauty of the villa. Please make sure that you have dinner at the hotel restaurant, the views of the jungle are gorgeous. The pool illuminated at night is a sight to see. This is by far the best accommodation I have ever experienced. I feel big and united with nature. Breakfast and afternoon tea are served daily and can be eaten in the room or in the dining room. Giving five stars is an act of prudence, but it lacks five stars.

Amazing hotel and service. complimentary massage was a bonus and the food in the hotel was delicious. The shuttle service into town and back was like having your own private driver. Very attentive staff who look after you.

Holiday 2017 - great hotel - without a car off the beaten track. It is then dependent on the hotel food or on a taxi, but that is cheap in Bali. Everything very well maintained, SPA treatment in Ubud, of course, cheaper than in the hotel ...

Stayed here for 4 nights. Nice private villa with very helpful staff. The room is nice but the cleanliness should be improve tremendously, lots of spider webs, dusts every where and insect nests. I would give a five star if they improve the cleanliness. They also needs to replace some aging rusty moldy light fixtures . I would give 5 starts should they improve the situation. The staff anyway are very helpful and amazing .

The overall is very good, the view is great, but the electrical appliances in the room are often inexplicably problematic.

In short, its a good place.

24 villas built on a very large site. The nature is well preserved and it feels like Bali. The room is also relaxed. The spa is very good! If you drive, the entrance road is too narrow and the place that is difficult to understand is a little negative.

The honeymoon tour is perfectly arranged, from the two-person spa, the field scenery to the bicycle, the romantic candlelight dinner, and the restaurant worth visiting again.

Sublimely luxurious while being immersed in Balinese nature. First class service, food and comfort. It was out first time but nowhere near our last.

We stayed at deluxe villa for 3 days. Overall it was a good hotel. The spacious rooms and private pools are quite satisfactory. And once a day 'Breakfast' is served at 'the place you want' at your desired time. And the easiest thing is that shuttle cars are always on standby and pick up at any time and place in town. However, management of guest room is not good. There was a bed in the bed and I suffered for one week after the trip. It was the first time I had suffered from bed bugs while traveling, and I am very disappointed because it happened at the finest resort.

I visited many hotels, resorts and pool villas, but it was the best. The size of the pool villas is big and the pool inside the villas is big and nice. The room was clean and the outdoor shower made it a wonderful experience. Breakfast is also available in the room, but it is recommended to do in the dining room where the jungle is visible. The public swimming pool is a little bit far away, but it is so beautiful and wonderful that you always recommend it. Massage can also be received by listening to the sound of the valley water. It is easy to sightseeing because there is ubud city and resort shuttle. Highly recommended.

We had our honeymoon at Kayumanis and they took amazing care of us throughout the week. The service was on point, the food was incredible and the room and amenities were extraordinary. Could not say enough good things about our experience there. Highly recommend if you re in ubud. Make sure you get the private villa, totally worth it!
