This was a once in a lifetime experience! A friend of ours recommended KAW when my husband and I were planning a trip to Alaska, and we are so glad we did it! We did the full day kayaking trip to Aalik Glacier. I was impressed by the kindness and care from the KAW staff and guides. They checked our clothing to make sure we would be warm and dry on the trip. The boat ride out to the glacier was amazing on its own - we stopped multiple times to see otters, eagles, seals, and whales. Seeing the glacier from the kayak was unbelievable. I'm glad we did an intimate trip with just the two of us, our guide, and another couple. A big commercial boat experience would not have given us the same grandeur of the quiet and stillness of kayaking. Our guide brought lunch and a thermos of hot tea with him, and we sat in the water and listened to the glacier crack while we ate our lunch! Who gets to do that in their life? It was an incredible time. Highly recommend KAW!

Kayak Adventures was amazing. First, given the concerns with covid they were very responsible about current precautions. We went out on a half day tour of the bay with Sid and had an amazing time. The experience of being out on the open water coupled with the knowledge of our guide was a breath taking experience. We highly recommend this company if you want to experience the bay!

I cannot say enough about the personal attention knowledge and professional atmosphere of Kayak Adventures. This summer was our second kayak trip with Kayak adventures and it was as unforgettable as the first.
We took part in a Sea kayaking half day trip through Resurrection Bay near Seward Alaska.
Our guide gave us a through safety pre- trip over view . This was so nice to have considering I am not that comfortable on the water!
Our guide pointed out many interesting land marks and knew so much about the history/ geology/wildlife of the surrounding mountain ranges.
We highly recommend this company and will seek them out again for our next Kayak Adventure! Thank you

Soooo many great things to say!! Excellent set up the guides were very knowledgeable about all of the different excursions we know this because we made a return trip from out of state for a different kayak adventure!! We had a great time and would absolutely recommend this company to any skill level of kayaker even beginners (as I had a beginner with me on one of our trips). We will absolutely be back and look forward to seeing everyone again!! #aialikwillfreeyoursoul #waterfamforever #laughedtilourgutshurt #ThankyouKAW

If I could give them 10 stars, I would do so in a heartbeat. From the moment we called and figured out potential dates/ideas w/ Hannah, to our pre-trip meeting for the absolute, one-of-a-kind adventure that Claire took us on in the Kenai Fjords, to the warm reception from Trent upon our return to the dock, we simply couldn't have asked for a better experience to explore and take in this wondrous place. After a week in Alaska, this was the highlight, hands down, and a phenomenal way to end our trip. From beginning to end, this team took care of us ... and it feels strange to use the word 'pampered', but for (2) days, we felt downright spoiled. Glacial thunder, amazing meals, camping on a beach, curious harbor seals, kayak paddle mittens (total gamechanger), a spectacular guide and puffins ... do you want me to write a 10-page essay, because I could and just might. Do it, no regrets.

We did a mothership trip - 3 days, 2 nights. Great trip. Our guide was excellent - very knowledgeable about the plants and animals in the area. We also enjoyed the ship's captain. Food was good. Kayaking was even better. We saw an amazing variety of wildlife. I would definitely do it again.

My wife, 2 kids and I took an all day kayak trip to Aialik glacier in mid August 2020. Kayak Adventures Worldwide did a phenomenal job. Over the phone, Hannah and Trenton answered all of our questions and concerns, including accommodating food allergies. As policy, because my daughter is under 14 years of age, they gave us a private guide for our family, which was a big bonus. Joe was our guide and he was fantastic. Knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and genuinely nice. We had the time of our lives, thanks in large part to Joe and the professional team at Kayak Adventures Worldwide.

Our family of four (2 adults + 2 teens) had an amazing time with Aiden in June! We kayaked and camped for 4 days / 3 nights in Aialik Bay, eventually kayaking over 30 miles and ending up right in front of Aialik Glacier. Along the way we saw humpback whales, orca, seals, sea lions, otters, black bear, eagles, cormorant, and puffin! Stunning views. Aiden was wonderful - cooked amazing meals 3 times a day for us (appetizer included dates stuffed with goat cheese). Tents were roomy; pace of travel was just right; rain eventually gave way to sunshine by mid-trip! This should be on everyone's bucket list!

A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. day! No experience necessary as the crew walk you through all safety and working aspects of the kayak. We did a glacier kayak 2 years ago, had a variety of wildlife around us, in addition to floating over and around small icebergs. It doesn t get much better. Highly recommended!

I d give more than 5 stars if I could.

I lived in Anchorage when my in-laws came to visit my husband and I. We decided to go to Seward to explore and decided to start the day with a half day Kayak trip with this company.
The company is run out of a small house in Seward by an amazing staff and the tour guides are extremely knowledgeable of the area and it s history.

My family and I had such a great time! Our guide, Sol, was friendly, kind, and knew a lot of interesting information about the area and it s wildlife. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Trent, who was also very kind. You can tell that him and his staff love what they do which is an amazing to see!

Now that I ve moved back home to Texas, whenever I tell people about my time in Alaska, l make sure to mention that if they ever go to Seward and want to do a kayak tour that this is the place to go. I ll definitely be returning when I get the opportunity!

Booked a 1/2 day sea kayaking excursion for a group of 5 adults. Met the owner when we arrived, he was super friendly and the staff really seemed to like him. We had the option of leaving our keys and phones at the office for safe keeping, which was nice and then we were on our way! The weather was wonderful and we were paired up with Meagan for the morning; she was a delightful guide.

First kayak rental business that actually took the time to give detailed instruction on the best way to get in and get out kayaks, how to get your seat and feet in best position, and how to paddle with the most power without tiring your arms.
All of that was great and set us up for a beautiful trip. Our whole group loved it and the scenery is amazing!

Such a stellar & progressive company providing an amazing experience. I've toured with KAW twice: 2007 (single day kayak/hike combo) & 2019 (Aialik Overnight Special). I've recommended them to friends & family recreating in AK/Seward. They provide a thoughtful, educational, safe, unforgettable experience. Do yourself a favor & go on an adventure with them! You will not regret it. **Bonus points***: they accommodate solo travelers & don't penalize them with a double occupancy charge B.S.

This experience was one of the most memorable of all my travels. Having the opportunity to witness nature and our planet in this part of the world was awe-inspiring. Never did I think I'd enjoy a beautiful day in a kayak while being only ~3 miles away from an iceberg; it was a sight I will never forget nor lose appreciation for. Shout out to our puffin and bald eagle friends that we met along the way.

During my expedition, the staff provided the entire group with some very insightful information regarding the ecology and history of the area, as we traversed the waters. Any questions that came to mind -- they were happy to answer. And they're also not bad photographers if you want to get a picture snapped to remember your adventure.

I look forward to the day that I'm able to return to this part of the world to explore and experience even more.

Thank you.

What a great experience! We took a half day trip and it was just the right length for us. Sea kayaking is a little tentative getting started in the waves, but not difficult to get the hang of it.
The staff is welcoming, friendly, and easy going.
Our guide, Nelson, was attentive but not overbearing. His instruction was clear and easy to follow. He clearly enjoys people and the opportunity to guide.

Had an amazing experience through Kayak Adventures. My family did the glacier kayaking and wildlife viewing day trip. It was just awesome. Everyone on their team is friendly, super knowledgable about the area and most of all passionate about their love of Alaska and the Seward area. My parents were both 70 at the time, and mom has pretty bad arthritis in her hands but they paired her up with a guide to ensure she could still enjoy the kayaking. We all loved it. Saw whales, otters, seals among other great wildlife.

We did the Aialik Glacier day tour with Kayak Adventures, and it was one of the most memorable experiences of our vacation! The boat ride to & from the glacier is a fun experience in itself, as we stopped along the way to see puffins, whales, and other wildlife. Kayaking to the glacier is a great taste of the Alaskan wilderness. And having lunch near the giant walls of ice while watching the glacier calve in the distance, then being rocked by the waves passing under us, felt like an intimate encounter with a part of nature that's fast disappearing. Quite a memory!

We did a kayak tour with these folks and it was AMAZING. It was early September and it ended up being just my husband and I with our guide. The views of the glaciers were wonderful and we saw so much wildlife including sea lions! We also got to get out and walk around a wooded area and see multiple bald eagles and salmon spawning. It was definitely a 7 on a scale of 1-10 of physically challenging but it was also a windy day. We would definitely do this again or book a full-day trip on another visit to the area.

My family of 3 had an amazing day out in Resurrection Bay with Trent. Trent took our 8-year-old in his kayak with him and under his wing. We felt completely safe, saw gorgeous scenery and wildlife and learned we were capable of more than we thought. Having kayaked only a few times before, Trent was a wonderful and patient teacher. He tailored the experience to our ability level. We recommend Trent and his team with full confidence.

We were scheduled to do an overnight trip to Aiali...

We were scheduled to do an overnight trip to Aialik Glacier out of Seward Alaska. However the weather was predicted to be horrible and dangerous the second day so they changed us to the 1 day trip. They were on it and provided up to the minute instructions on rescheduling us.
Although we were disappointed at not spending the night out there the 1 day trip was incredible in every way. We did luck out with great weather so the boat ride out and back was amazing in it self seeing whales, Orca's tons of bird life. The captain of the boat was great and asked us all - because we good weather and seas - if we all wanted to go out an extra hour of touring. That was epic as that's when we saw the whales and Orac's.

The kayaking around Aialik was spectacular. I loved the way they had half the group go one way and the other go another so it seemed less crowed a quiet. They did a great job of keeping our group small. The other 1/2 of the group was a good 1/4 mile at least at all times. We felt very safe and our leader had great knowledge of flora, fauna and glacier history etc. Felt like we were taking a class! The amount of time was appropriate and did not seems rushed or out too long.
Food was good too! The equipment as well was appropriate for the tasks required. They were very safety conscious on the boat and kayaking. As injuries out there are serious because of lack of access.
Trenton, the owner, was great to talk to about the different trips and what would fit our experience and Erin was awesome at handling our change in trip logistics.
Can't recommend this company enough. Nice people that love what they are doing and want to share their Alaska with you in an intimate and safe way!

We did a kayak trip in July 2019. I am very nervous about doing new activities but the guy who took us out was in my kayak with me and we had the most superb experience.

The two of us did an overnight kayak trip. It was simply amazing. Last year we did an overnight camping on the beach. This year we rented the public use cabin on Aialik Bay which is a nice cottage with no running water or electricity but a great place to settle into for dinner after a long day of kayaking. It is bare bones but a great space to stay. This was our 2nd trip with KAW and they continue to be a top rate company with knowledgeable
guides and 1st rate service. Will probably go back again next year. Also the town of Seward is one of the few places left that has no chain shops
like Starbucks or Wendy's. It is a magical place. We have not done the day trip but I am sure it is amazing as well. Money well spent and an amazing adventure. Remember to tip your guide as they work really hard

Our tour guide Becca was the best. She was so knowledgeable and easy going. She gave out just the right amount of info for us to process at a time. I loved the pace of the trip - we kayaked leisurely around the shoreline to see the plant and sea life. Then we pushed faster to get to the beach for a break. I highly recommend this tour group.

This was the highlight of my bucket list trip! The glacier was the absolute star of the show, the weather and ocean were also ideal! Oh, and Joe and Candace were awesome too!
Joe was very knowledgeable or made up believable stuff. JK. He was great! I just hope the Lord of the Flies didn't play out per our discussion.
We had a beautiful day and trip, both on the boat and the kayaks. The Aialik Glacier was seemingly very active and the thunderous noise is awe inspiring. Unbelievable and there just aren't words to describe it.
If you're capable I highly recommend the kayak method. From my perspective, the size of the boat you're on matters!

Our family of 5, three adults, two teenagers, went on the all day trip in June 2019 and had a fantastic day. the office was very patient with our questions ahead of time, so we would be properly prepared, very friendly, and very professional. We were impressed.
Our guide for the day on the water, Murphy, was a great help, very encouraging to me, a beginner at 76, very informative about the wildlife, good at pacing the trip for everyone, and had a great sense of humor. We paddled hard, loved the fresh air and being right there on the water with the birds and sea otters, enjoyed a snack at a beautiful waterfall, and lunch on the trail. We shared laughter and the breeze, the splashes of cold water, and the sights of this amazing area of Alaska. It was one of the highlights of our 9 day trip, and we all loved it. Thank you all!

This was the highlight of our trip to Seward. The team was amazing from start to finish! They were so helpful in the booking process, and making us feel at ease with Covid concerns. I actually ended up doing two tours with the company. The first day was Fox Island. This tour was a wonderful full day experience. There were so many different things to see, learn about the history, and it was unforgettable. It did not require kayak experience, or a lot of strength, but mainly just a bit stamina. The next day was just a half-day Resurrection Bay tour that was incredible as well. This was more relaxed, leisurely, and the team led us on a walk through the forest! Fully recommend either (or both!) of the tours.

Our guide, Joe, was great right from the start. Very chill, go-with-the-flow feel that allows you to make your trip how you like whether it's to kayak as hard as you can for as long as you can or just cruise around. We opted to go at a calm, steady pace but still had plenty of time to take a detour on a nearby beach to check out a forest trail and see the salmon in the stream. It was a really awesome experience that I would highly recommend!

We had the BEST time on our recent kayaking trip with Kayak Adventures Worldwide! We booked the Fox Island trip, which started with a beautiful water taxi ride before we spent the day kayaking along the pristine, wild coastline of Resurrection Bay. Our guide Garrett was awesome - he was super knowledgeable about the local wildlife and geology and he pointed out several kinds of seabird, as well as sea otters, sea lions and lots of sea stars. We ate a tasty lunch beside a huge waterfall and wrapped up the afternoon with a beach walk on the Fox Island spit. I would do this trip again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it! It was clear that the Kayak Adventures team is taking health and safety very seriously during COVID-19 and that gave us peace of mind to relax and make the most of our adventure.

Staff was very friendly. They go the extra mile to make sure you enjoy your visit. Half day trip was just the right amount of time for us and is beginner friendly. More experienced paddlers should go in a large group of similarly skilled paddlers to avoid being slowed down by newbies

What a fabulous adventure! My husband and I did the Resurection Bay half day tour. Easy hour kayak to a beach then gorgeous hike into the rainforest. Tasha, our guide was fabulous! Super knowledgeable about the wildlife, she even took pictures of the last half of our trip when our underwater camera batteries died and sent them to us that afternoon. I love this companies sustainable attitude about giving back. Wow!

Book with KAW! You will not be disappointed! We have kayaked many many places in the world and Kayak Adventures is far and away one of the best outfitters we have encountered. The glaciers won't be here much longer so don't miss out on what might be a once in a lifetime chance. You won't regret it later. There's no better way to experience the water, the glaciers, the wildlife than from a kayak. It is a pretty magical feeling to be sitting right on the water taking in all the majesty ...the sounds of wildlife and the calving glacier and breathing that fresh air. Its a pretty good bonding experience with family too! ....Sure, another option is to take a motorized "cruise" and that will be a far different experience...motoring around with 30+ ppl on boat angling for a photo while someone talks to you over a microphone....to each their own. My first impression while thinking of KAW is "Safety"...the transport boat / the equipment / the safety demonstration...all were top notch and I felt really comfortable paddling with them. I can speak from experience that not all outfitters are as conscientious. All of their guides are professionals and I was really impressed by the people hired as staff. The people in the office to the boat driver to the paddling guides....all of them were knowledgable about the area; personable; unassuming and engaging and went above and beyond in every detail. Our boat driver made it his mission to locate wildlife and spent ample time when there was wildlife to be seen. Our guide gave interesting information along the paddling route but didn't talk incessantly. I thought he was just a perfect guide...very attentive ~ informative ~ willing to take photos for us and very keyed into what we wanted to experience for the day. I thought it was worth every penny we paid and I would book again in a heartbeat! Just do it because memories don't just happen....memories are made!

You do not have to be an expert to do this adventure. I saw so much wildlife including whales, otters, & sea lions on top of one of the most breathe taking views of my life, Aialik Glacier. Worth it, do it!

My wife and I were able to take a day tour with this company. No one else had signed up for our time slot so we were able to have the guide all to ourselves! He was very knowledgeable and courteous. Lunch was delicious. I would recommend Kayak Adventures Worldwide to anyone considering this type of activity.

This was by far the coolest kayak trip I've ever been on. Our guide was very very knowledgeable of the Glacier and local wildlife. I like that they are safety oriented, and the group was small enough to feel a personal connection with everyone. The kayaks were great and the gear definitely kept us comfortable. I HIGHLY recommend these guys!
