My review is a little late- we were in Alaska several months ago. Our kayak trip was definitely an adventure!! Not only was the area we were kayaking around absolutely breath taking, we were able to witness the glacier calving, and a whale was sighted! Our guides were Norris and Brenda, and they were both extremely knowledgeable and fun. The safety instructions were clear, and the entire trip was very informative. Hope to visit the area and kayak with them again! Well worth the money!

We had an amazing experience with KAW!! The owner and staff of KAW are fantastic and are focused on each and every person's experience. The kayaking to the Aialik Glacier provided us with memories that will last forever. Our guides did a superb job of explaining and facilitating our adventure. The trip to and from kayaking was filled with wildlife sightings and the boat captain did an amazing job of putting us in great position to see humpbacks, killer whales, dall porpoises, and much more without encroaching upon the animals.
I would highly recommend KAW to everyone and won't hesitate to use them again if given the opportunity!!

We did the Resurrection Bay Half Day Kayaking Tour with Kayak Adventures Worldwide. It was one of the highlights of our trip! Our tour guide was fantastic, and kept us all together and safe, on a day when the water was a bit rougher than usual. He also made that sure each of us got a photo in our boats, so that we could look back and share this experience, always. The views were absolutely incredible, and it was amazing to have sea lions popping up out of the water around us. If and when we make it back to Alaska, I would absolutely book another kayaking trip with Karak Adventures Worldwide!

I was reluctant to give a low rating, due to the impressively and genuinely friendly staff, which was consistent throughout the entire process- from the initial inquiry to the actual booking, to the check-in and meeting my guide. Then they lost me at the moment I was handed my lunch during the break from paddling. I ordered a gluten free lunch at the time of booking 1.5 months prior. I understand they're a family run business, but this level of oversight (i.e. concerning food allergies/sensitivities) is harder to accept for the $400 price tag.

We took the Aialik glacier day trip with Kayak Adventure. It was amazing from the minute we got on the boat, to watching the glaciers calve, and the return trip. We had expert naturalist interpretation on the way seeing whales, Orca's and all sorts of sea birds. The kayak trip was awesome and the guides were amazing. Our group split in tow going on two different days and both groups had slightly different and both most memorable days with the outfitter and guides. Thanks for being one of the highlights of our once in a lifetime Alaska trip.

If you want a small group kayaking adventure with a very friendly and knowledgable guide, look no further. Best customer service hands down, cannot stress enough how wonderful Wendy and her staff are. Our guide, Tess was very knowledgable about the wildlife and the environment around Seward. All skills welcome, they stress about safety, safety, and more safety. I always felt safe and comfortable around our guide; she was very well experienced.

My wife and I went early in the season and had an incredible guide. She, Alex, knew tons about the area and the history, not to mention the animals and the overall sport of sea kayaking. It was like sightseeing with a knowledgeable friend. Saw seals, sea lions, porpoise, eagles, pigeon guillemot, and a breaching humpback whale in the distance. A bit steep at $200 a person, but that's the only gripe. And it's a very small one.

Great time out with Kayak Adventures Worldwide in Seward Resurrection Bay. The kayaks were in great condition and the other gear was good. Our guide, Ryan, was knowledgeable about kayaking, safety, and the bay. Reasonably priced for the area. Definitely recommend them.

We spend three weeks in Alaska in 2019 with a fami...

We spend three weeks in Alaska in 2019 with a family of four on a trip designed to get us in the outdoors. We are not family that normally enjoys guided experiences, but decided it was necessary for this part of our Alaska experience since we didn't have much kayaking experience and we'd be spending three days kayaking in a remote area with very questionable weather. Deciding do to go with Trent and his team was the best decision we made!

First, they worked really hard to design trip for us. We saw three glaciers, every species of wildlife possible - most up close and personal, camped in two spectacular spots, and we they made sure we really didn't see other people. They figured out what we wanted and then they totally delivered.

Second, they helped us enjoy kayaking. We had one previous experience that was not very enjoyable because the kayaking portion of it was awful. Our guides from KAW made sure that we understood what we were doing and made sure we were comfortable in our boats. That made the entire experience MUCH better for all four of us.

Finally, these guys really know their stuff. We were lucky enough to have two guides (Joe and Aidan) and they both shared all of their knowledge with us throughout the three day adventure. We couldn't have asked for more knowledgeable guides or better people to spend three days with.

Since we are experienced campers, we did all of our own camp setup and cooking, while KAW helped us with all of the logistics and kayaking, but they can design a trip to meet your needs.

Thank You, Kayak Adventures!

KAW helped get our whole trail crew of high volunteers out on the water for an environmental education trip. We had an awesome time! Office staff was welcoming, our guides were fun knowledgeable and timely and all the gear was good quality and well cared for. We got to watch a humpback whale surface near us! What an amazing company and an amazing experience!

We could not have had a better guide or day to experience Resurrection Bay. Glo was fantastic and informative, and Suzanne made the check in process an absolute pleasure. We could tell that the employees genuinely loved their jobs, and it showed in the experience they let us share. We'll be sending our friends your way!

We had a good experience with the tour agency. We chose the half day kayak and everything was executed to plan. We kayaked about 4 miles along the Kenai fjord. However, I originally was thinking we are going to kayak toward a glacier or something. But this was not it. You don t really get to see anything in the trip. If you want to kayak to a glacier, you need to find the right tour. I was told there was one (not sure if this is offered by this company) that you take a boat right for 3 hours and then kayak to a glacier.

My family and I went to Alaksa for our family reunion vacation and one of our activities was kayaking. It was AMAZING! I can't stress that enough. Our guide was so sweet and informative and we saw everything there was to see. I absolutely would do it again in a heart beat. I recommend this to everyone. If you're in Seward you need to do this! I could seriously write about this trip forever. It was beyond magical!

KAW made our first time kayaking something that we adored. My 13 year old son and I were nervous but we quickly realized we were in great hands. Everyone was kind and personable and Garrett was an awesome guide! He was knowledgeable, took all safety measures and was eager to show us more than just what was on the kayaking menu. We had an absolute blast!

Fun trip, with pleasant guides. The trip was not as adventurous as we had hoped. We couldn't get close to the glacier, and there were few waves or animals while kayaking. So a cheaper boat would have more value.

Truly amazing experience! Very few things can compare to the experience you will have with Kayak Adventures. The tours they offer cater to almost all levels of experience, and show some of the most breathtaking features you will ever see. You are in good hands with Kayak adventures, and you learn a lot about the environment while you are on the water. Kayak Adventures offers more than just a kayak tour, its a learning experience. I highly recommend every visitor in Seward to check them out.

We had a great trip with Aiden on an overnight Aialek Bay trip. Saw lots of wildlife on the boat trip to and from (puffins, mountain goat, humpback and a fin whale, even an orca. The kayaking was great! The paddling up to the glacier was awesome. Amazing sounds in the morning as melting ice pops and hiss in the bay; icebergs roll and split; and then the roar of glacier calving. The gear was great - warm & cozy; likewise the food provided.

Amazing trip! Resurrection Bay is gorgeous and kayaking allows you to truly take in the landscape. We saw otters, eagles, porpoise, woodpeckers and salmon on our short trip. Kayak Adventures Worldwide exceeded every expectation I had when my wife and I visited Seward. We were in town to depart on a 7 day cruise the next day and I wanted to experience the adventure AK had to offer. Our tour guide took us across Resurrection Bay, pointing out animals along the way such as bald eagles and puffins. We even managed to explore areas of wilderness only accessible by kayak or boat. The experience we had will last us a lifetime and next time we are in Seward we'll be using KAW again.

I had an absolute blast on the Resurrection Bay half-day kayak trip. The guide was incredibly fun and knowledgable and made sure everyone was having a good time while also staying safe out on the water. We saw a bunch of animals including bald eagles and a very curious sea otter that swam within a few feet of the kayaks. Would highly recommend if you're in Seward!

I am a guide for Alaska Rivers Company and I had an amazing time on this trip. They got us sized and suited up on site and then drove to the beach where they gave us a safety briefing. Once we got in the water we followed the shoreline until we got to our turning around point where we stopped on the beach for snacks, hot drinks, and a short hike to a waterfall. When we were almost back to the beach, our guide noticed someone had tipped their kayak and was near some sketchy looking rocks. So he gave us detailed instructions on how to land on shore properly reassuring us there would be people there to help and he went off to save the guy who fell in the water. Everyone was trained and new exactly what to do, overall a great experience I would highly recommend!

Highly recommended!

Did the Aialik Glacier full day trip. After getting out gear sorted we headed to the harbor and took the water taxi to the glacier. This part of the trip as well as the boat trip back was very much part of the experience and we saw lots of wildlife and were treated to stunning views of the ocean, islands, rugged coastline, glaciers and mountains. We were so lucky in that the weather was improving by the hour and we ended the day in glorious sunshine. The actual kayak trip lasted about 3 hours. We were split into three groups of 6 people and each group headed out separately increasing the atmosphere of remoteness and quiet. Having lunch parked in the water in (safe) proximity to the calving glacier was an absolute highlight of my entire trip to Alaska! A few more points: safety was always put first. The water taxi and kayaking outfit, though different companies, worked as though a single entity - a big shout out to the friendly folks running the water taxi. I'm so glad I chose this trip as opposed to a regular day cruise on a bigger boat - the day felt as though it was a true adventure and well worth the additional investment. Thanks!

We did the half-day Resurrection Bay tour and it was awesome! Garrett was our tour guide, and he did a great job teaching us about safety/how to paddle and steer/ and show us where we were headed when in the water. He also knows a TON about the wildlife and animals in the area and it was really cool to hear about berries/salmon/jellyfish/eagles. Having a great tour guide can make or break these tours and he did a wonderful job. We also heard a rumor that Hannah (another guide) is a serious trail runner so ask her about that! Definitely would recommend them for kayaking tours and we'd love to do it again next time we're in Alaska!

When my husband and I were in Alaska two years ago, we took a day kayaking trip with Kayak Adventures and it was amazing! Our guide (and all the others) took our safety very seriously and gave us excellent instruction and individual attention (we are pretty fit but not experienced kayakers). Our guide was also very knowledgeable about the region and wildlife. We learned so much that day and had so much fun actually getting on the water to see the glacier calf. It was truly amazing and well worth the money. Highly recommend!

Great place to go kayaking with! We had Tyler as our guide. Our group of 5 was made up of experience levels from first timer to seasoned paddlers. Tyler did a great job in keeping us informed of what to expect, how to perform required task in our kayaks, what type animals we may see as well as giving background on the sights we were viewing and in general making us feel welcomed there.
The office staff were very cheerful and helpful. The water taxi ride was clean, professional and comfortable, taking time to stop for viewing animals on the trip out to our kayak launching point.
I d highly recommend this establishment.

We had a fantastic overnight trip last summer. All we had to bring were our sleeping bags, sleeping pads and personal items. We had a very small group that paddled to one glacier the first day and another glacier the second day. The second day, we had the bay entirely to ourselves before day trips arrived. We saw humpback whales, sea and river otters, seals, puffins, and Commerson s dolphins. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable (knew what every bird was), prepared (planned for meat eaters and vegetarians) and safety conscious (kept us a safe distance from wildlife and the glaciers). Would highly recommend!

Hands down the highlight of our amazing Alaskan experience! Such a well led expedition that took us close to the beautiful Aialik Glacier. I will never forget, kayaking though the ice field and the lunch in the kayak viewing the scenery. And the boat ride to the glacier was magnificent, including seeing multiple whales. I highly recommend this adventure with this first class crew of lovely human beings!

Our family of 3 did the kayak trip both in 2017 and 2019. I think we would all agree that it was one of our Alaska trip highlights. In 2017 we were the only people on the trip along with our guide and in 2019 we were joined by another couple. Obviously going early in the season allowed us to beat the crowds. On both trips our guide could not have been more helpful or better hosts. The water taxi trip to the starting point allowed for some fantastic wildlife and scenery viewing. Last but not least the office ladies were a delight to work with before and after our trip. WE WILL BE BACK !!

It was our first time kayaking and the experience Kayak Adventures gave us couldn't have been greater. We were all nervous especially since three out of the four of our party didn't know how to swim, but Shauna/Shawna (spelling?) was the best guide and made this experience as enjoyable as it could be. She was so knowledgeable, kind, and patient with us. She definitely knew what she was doing and as first-timers we were at ease having her with us. She also gave us stickers which was a nice bonus! We will be coming back for sure, and probably with a larger party (and maybe we'll learn how to swim beforehand as well lol), but from check in to orientation to being out on the open sea it was both exhilarating and calming at the same time. Seward is beautiful and the few hours we spent on the open sea was just absolutely majestic as we witnessed so much wildlife in their natural habitat like two bald eagles, sea lions which we thought were otters, jellyfishes, and several others I forgot their names (one looked like a miniature whale/dolphin?). Thank you Kayak Adventures Worldwide!! We appreciate you all!!

We were lucky enough to spend 6 fabulous days on the Mothership.
Amazing kayaking in jaw dropping scenery and full of wildlife from puffins galore, sea otters bobbing around all over the place and even some whales.
The team have got the routine down to a fine art and from getting boats out on the water to the galley routine and fabulous food, it all runs like a well-oiled machine. Top marks to Captain Mike and Guide Alex for efficiency, safety and for ensuring that we had the trip of a lifetime.
Incredible trip and highly recommended - get there now!

The tour to the Aialik Glacier was fantastic. The guides are extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and the day we spent with them was one of the best of our trip.

The boat ride to the kayaking was full of beautiful views and lots of wildlife like whales, orcas, sea lions, and sea otters. After the ride we got to the kayaking area and had beautiful weather to head out towards the glacier. It was only 6 people to each guide, ensuring that we could easily interact and ask questions throughout our time on the water.

The fjord where the glacier is (a fjord is glacial canyon/basin that's covered in water), was stunning. The water is cold and refreshing, and there are a number of harbor seals and their pups on the ice that you paddle past. We paddled up to a mile and a half away from the glacier where we had lunch, took pictures, and got stuck in an ice field (which was fun to wiggle out of). The scale of the glacier is hard to tell with no easy reference points, but is around 600-700 feet tall and we got to see it calving (dropping off chunks of ice) throughout our visit.

The day was awesome and the pictures fantastic!
