Been meaning to stop by for a while, I called in my order which was hot and ready when I arrived as promised. Customer service was outstanding they were super sweet over the phone as well as in person.... And it was the best fried chicken and fries I ve ever had will definitely be back soon.

I appreciate the authenticity of the food! The seasoning is off the chain and the crunch is everything. Thanks Ms. Kay.

It was absolutely refreshing to order food from a place where everyone was genuinely nice. Like most parents I have kids that think the only thing worthy of eating are chicken nuggets and these chicken nuggets were very good. The onion rings were excellent also.

It was a little more expensive than some other places but that's to be expected from a family-owned place that does not mass produce its food. It is cooked to order with care and attention. I absolutely will be going back.

Had a most delicious meal. First of all the owner and staff were so kind and courteous. I had such a comfortable feeling when I ordered. The fried chicken and basa were beyond reproach. Seasoned to perfection! Not salty at all but full of flavor. We will DEFINITELY visit again soon!

From Chicago. My favorite food is CHICKEN!!!! Perfect 10 every time. My husband from Tampa gives it a 10. My 15 yr old that complains about everything gives it a 10!!!! I believe that is unanimous!!!!!

This place is new to the area the food is good is very reasonable and the way it's really not that long someplace I would definitely visit again

Today my husband and I decided to try Kay s Kitchen. We follow the page on Instagram and thought it would be great to finally try them. We purchased 10 wings combo, Mango Slushie and chicken strips. WE WERE CATFISHED. The wings were over cooked, the fries were hard. My chicken strip really broke my heart. It was a chicken breast that was sliced in half (thinned out) and then cut up into tiny little strips while the chicken breast was horizontal. They were the length of a mozzarella stick and thin. We love trying new food and don t mind spending the money but we felt robbed today. This food cost $31 and some change and did not taste worth $31. Very disappointed.

My husband and I wasted over $30 at this place. My fish had a funny taste so I threw it out, our shrimp barely had and breading and seemed under cooked so that was thrown out as well, and our fries were soggy and gross. Ended up tossing everything in the trash, I'll never go back there again......

Real authentic Chicago styled fried chicken and mild sauce!!! Great friendly service and food served hot and fresh! Love it!

The food was over priced small portions. I could ve went to a person home and got the same thing for cheaper. Under seasoned chicken they sprinkle ranch on them and call them Chicago style. The first time I went there was nothing on the menu I came back still disappointed. I spent $40 and still walked away hungry

For a small resturant, it has big flavor. If you are from Chicago or Milwakee you know about pizza puffs. They sale them here.

Being from Chicago, I was looking for a wing spot like Harold's chicken and by golly I found it. Great place to eat, not too expensive and grab the sock it to me cake for dessert.

I Had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful spirit of a woman Ms Kay! First off the food was amazing! Fresh and flavorful. Forget Gyros if you can make it there before 9p, this is the spot! She has an interesting mural which signifies her business progress and snippets of Tampa. She was so bright and bubbly as she explained her passion. Do yourself a complete favor and visit, you won't regret it.

The first time I tasted Kay s Kitchen felt like I was back home. It reminded me of what food taste like from up North. & that s hard to find in Tampa unfortunately. Everything is amazing the wings(wet) you won t regret it , The Mac & cheese, potato salad , fish sandwiches & my ultimate favorite the LEMONADE . This place is simply one of my favorite places to eat. I hope to get to go here again before I move from Tampa. Great spot to have a date or a nice dinner with friends. The food is fresh and every bite was delicious. I highly recommend the Haven if you are in the jp area.

Food was good but kind of expensive. I found the chicken fairly priced but some wing pieces were not whole and should not have been included in the count. I would definitely return for the wings but not for the catfish. The fish was cooked well and the taste was on point. BUT the price for such small pieces was not fair. I also purchased the macaroni and fried okra. Again both were good but TOO expensive for the size. I would not purchase these again simply because they are priced to high.

I ordered a Whiting fish sandwich. Even though it was fried to my liking, It was greasy and not tasty at all. I was told it was seasoned with lemon pepper. They should try using old bay seasoning but maybe lemon pepper is a Chigao thing.

I can't say enough about this place!!! Their wings are the BEST!!! And the service is unbeatable!!! Ms Kay & Tameka are some of the sweetest people i've ever met. I will be going back very often and sending more customers!!!

The chicken is amazing and the customer service matches. The food is served through a take out window to ensure customer safety. I've been served by two different people and each time I've been greeted with a smile and treated very well.

BEST CHICKEN EVER!!! I have eaten this fantastic chicken twice since Sunday and my third order is on the way right now! This lady knows how to cook!!

Awesome location. I can see the rides at Busch Gardens from the dining area (which is neat, clean, and helped us decide to eat in.)

Mrs. Kay is the nicest lady.
She greeted us, explained the menu and rewards program.
I had the wings, catfish, fried shrimp, Mac and cheese and a Pizza Puff.

Everything was very well seasoned and delicious.

The pizza puff was the size of a Nintendo 64 Crispy outside juicy and cheezy inside.

The chicken and shrimp were juicy inside and crispy and well seasoned outside. At the end she sprinkles some amazing white dust that's almost worth the price of admission. I'd recommend!

Definitely 5 stars for the price and flavor and service.

All of the food is good here and I mean EVERYTHING. If you're in the area and want some good FRESH food visit this restaurant, you will be glad you did.

I can sum it up in one word, amazing. When you want to go to a place to eat and you are met with a smile, Great Customer Service, Fresh food and prices that are affordable you really don't have to look any further Kay's Kitchen is your place.

You simply will not find better fried chicken in Tampa- maybe not even Florida! I had the wings on 2/8/20, they were crispy and amazing on the outside with a flavor I've never tasted before (whatever magical spice they use on fried chicken in Chicago), and juicy and moist in the inside! The milf sauce was the icing on an already amazing treat. Just amazing. The staff is friendly and warm and provided the story behind their food and it was an overall awesome experience. Do not miss out on this little gem!

Fish is their dish! I had the catfish which is breaded in what I'd guess is 'Fritto's Corn Chips' ground up in a blender - then dusted with white powder - on the chicken it was more prevalent and discernible - I think it's powdered sugar and salt - but super fine like it also was in a blender. The chicken was not brined so any flavor was in the breading and the shrimp were smaller sized but tasty. Hands down - best place for fish!

Love the the food and the service is just as great just wish instead of buying a side like macaroni and cheese for $4.99 just up charge $2 /$2.50 with the meal like they do for the homemade delicious lemonade

Catfish nuggets ,chicken wings,fried okra need i say anymore all cooked to perfection.a real down to home place just like visting a family member house for a real good dinner.owner is so friendly just like kinfolk..will be going back for future visits.Keep up the Awsome work..if you are in that area its worth the stop..

I posted a picture which may only be a thousand words....with food you have to taste too! Kay's kitchen is the real deal compared to the infamous "Harold's Chicken Shack." First the service is way better I know. You know it is real when you open the bag and smell the mild sauce. (And they are generous with it.) Just the fact I can get a pizza puff somewhere other than Chicago had me. You have to go to Kay's and try everything including the fresh lemonade!

Omg! Try this place you will not regret. I had the shrimp, grouper and chicken and its all good. The breeding is one of kind. The frys are do die for and so all of it!

The food was delicious portion and I would eat there again the macorni was very good the fish was delicious to all above all it was great .

Been meaning to try Kay s Kitchen since they opened finally had time today & OMG This chicken is the best I ve ever tasted stayed hot nice & crispy when I arrived at home would definitely go back with the hubby & kids Not to mention I seen the guys in the barber shop next door buying banana pudding cake so I got curious & brought one home too good for my own good my goodnesssss

Great lobster rolls. Fresh seafood. Affordable prices. I get the double lobster roll on a single bun - Yummy!

Ok so I hate only giving this restaurant 4 stars buuttt, although the service was very friendly and the owner greeted every customer. The food was just ok.my hubby and I had fish whiting and catfish there wasn't really anything special about the flavor. now the red velvet cake was the best I've tasted in Al long time. I will go back I really want to try the shrimp.
