Jaylene and the other midwives that saw me through my pregnancy were professional and extremely knowledgeable. They provided wonderful support and always gave me all the information I needed to make informed decisions throughout my pregnancy and while planning the birth of my son. They were willing to accommodate me with the birthing plan of my choice no matter if it was going to be at home, in the clinic, or at the hospital. I also know several other women who have each used Kawartha Community Midwives for more than one pregnancy and had amazing experiences. I will absolutely be using them again for baby number two!

Millie Dean is an absolute Godsend, her soft way makes your anxiety and worries near those final hours of meeting your new joy just melt away, also during deliveryand after the delivery answering all of our questions and examining our new daughter, it really made me feel like she was examining one of her own. Susan and Lisa Chappelle also chipped in and it really made it feel like such a great loving team effort. I definitely recommend them

Thanks to the amazing midwives and staff here, I had my dream home birth experience! Bryony and Millie were the midwives at my birth and I cannot say enough good things about them. They read the room so well, and they seemed to know exactly what I wanted without me having to say a word. They were so kind, professional and gentle with me. One of the best parts was the home visits postpartum, so grateful that I did not need to leave my house in those first few weeks. Highly highly recommend!

I had an appointment booked with the midwives, and then I had some light bleeding and was very scared. I called them and they told me to go to my family dr. I had no support from them and felt very rejected and frightened. I couldn t get a hold of my dr and ended up calling Telehealth who were very helpful and reassuring. Everything turned out fine but I canceled my appointment with the Peterborough Midwives and just went the OB route instead. I was really looking forward to having a natural approach with this baby ( my other 2 were very clinical) and I am still sad I won t get that because I can t trust them to be there for me when I need them.

Goid job leaving my wife in labour for 4 days because the baby is breach. Like I said She Was days ago. "Can't find her heartbeat" that's because that's her head.....how about you send professionals to deal with it rather then students. Seen 7 different midwives. She's not a test subject. How many people do you think she wants touching her in a week?? Ridiculous. Been in extreme pain for days. Telling you something is not right. Called it cramps and sent us home. It was labour the whole time. Never ever again!!!!!!

Bryony and Kaitlynn have been an amazing addition to our birth experience.
After having two traumatic births, Bryony helped us have a calm and amazing birth. I was unsure if I could do it unmedicated but with their help, I was able to! We were able to go home 3 hours after and she came to our house for appointments.
I would highly recommend KCC to anyone looking for a more natural birth experience.

The midwives delivered 3 of my 4 babies. Always gave me their undivided attention and answered any questions (ridiculous or not). I had no problem having students at the appointments and 2 of my children were delivered by a student. A wonderful experience.

Caitlin Murray and Catherine Ulstrup were angels as well as the rest of the team. I felt respected, well cared for, safe, and that everyone truly cared about me, my husband, and our baby's well being on all aspects. They gave me all the info I needed and more. During labour Laotlin applied some essential oils she was just trained in using and to my surprise they were actually amazing I would recommend them. We ended up with a hospital transfer from our intended home birth due to meconium stained amniotic fluid (slow leak). This process was well done and professional. The team at PRHC gave us all our space and we had a beautiful hospital birth attended by the midwives. Home visits afterwards are greatly appreciated versus going in somewhere so early postpartum. Lots of great referrals offered too such as Mindfulness courses, pelvic floor physio, and experienced counsellors for the post partum period of needed. I'm a lucky momma .Will be using these folks again in the future. Their clinic is beautiful too despite location.

they called me day before my appointment saying that they are discharging me, after i complained of the poor care i received from them i am to be seen once a week and that has yet to happen, they tried to say i threatened them by saying i was going to sue them for neglect as your meant to have 4 midwifes and i only had 1 because the others took their vacation during the month of January the month I'm due, i found that extremely unfair. im now afraid for my unborn daughter because now i have no one to deliver and just have to go to the emergency room. ill be sueing this place for neglect and hope they are not treating anyone else like this they say they don't discriminate against people but non stop did it to me about my mental health. this place needs to be assessed and possibly have new midwifes.

My daughter turns 22 today, !!!! she was the first Peterborough baby delivered by jaylene and Susan when they founded kawartha community midwives, a truly amazing experience,!!! with many family present for her birth,.These midwives provide support and professional care that no other can equal!!! Highly recommended, you ladies are the best!!!:)
