We had a great weekend here! The place is beautiful and calm. The staff is very friendly. The 3-course dinner was delicious. The room was spacious and we really enjoyed the bathtub! Thank you!

Vanenburg is a beautiful location to get married. There are several areas inside and out and everything looks beautiful. The service and staff are top notch too! PS. Even in bad weather you can take beautiful photos at the Vanenburg, such as in the greenhouse.

We have walked alone. Very nice. Pay special attention to the little things.

Nice room . Beautiful location . Price / quality was not okay. Due to corona no cleaning of the room (this was not known in advance and with a stay of 5 days for us it is desirable. For us that is part of our holiday feeling, beds made, clean sink). Small rolls at breakfast (not fresh but bake-off) no luxury toppings (eg roast beef brie jam that does not come from a tub and where no fruits can be found) Double bed was through. In itself a really good stay but we had different expectations at a hotel for which we have to pay 175 euros per night

I have been there a few times now at the Vanenburg but it always strikes me that it is super neat and always the best service! If something is up or needs to be arranged, they are there for you! That is a nice feeling at a hotel / restaurant.

We often and like to visit a Best Western, also now for 3 nights including breakfast and dinner. Let me start with the right thing; the location is great and unique. Rooms in buckets located in the formidable garden. The main building housing the restaurant with terrace and breakfast room looks beautiful. Corona did not clean the room, but you could order clean towels. The breakfast was fine and the rented E-bikes were neatly ready for us.

What was wrong then:
Dinner was a disaster. Because my wife has been seriously ill and has surgery, she cannot and should not eat everything. Have also indicated this with the telephone reservation. That was no problem because you could choose from the menu. Well that was very disappointing. There were 2 x 3 surprise menus from the chef in or ex wine package.
With a lot of effort my wife was able to get fish every night, but for example not a piece of chicken, pork or stew that she can eat. Then there is a change menu "meat / fish / vegetarian", but that was the same every day, namely well-done veal or salmon, but then you eat the same for days. There was also a recognizable burger and tomato soup on it. I ended up asking about the restaurant manager. He could not really put himself in our position and had full confidence in the freedom of the chefs. We were offered coffee and tea plus a liqueur. Kudos to waitress Willemieke who tried everything and was very nice and friendly. Again a surprise menu on the menu is fine, but not almost all. Especially if with a glass of wine with 2 people you quickly lose 125.00!

The very long wait for a drink on the terrace was also annoying. Just went to get it myself at the bar a few times. Only Willemieke (again) paid attention to the guests and did not just pass you by. When you consider that a glass of wine costs 6.50 and a draft beer 4.75, I think that good service is part of it.

All in all, very unfortunate and was unpleasant for quite a part of our stay.

Would say do something with it, but unfortunately you will not see us again soon.

It is a lovely location, the gardens are magnificent, and the accomodation is superb.

The Vanenburg is a top location with many possibilities. As a guest you feel more than welcome and truly appreciated. They do everything they can to unburden you and make you feel at home. Beautiful spaces and very diverse possibilities for gatherings, meetings, good food or a relaxing walk through the garden.

There is a kind of Piep Paulusma atmosphere ... Everyone stiff in front of the camera .
That's what the hosts / women of this complex expect from the visitors.

Location, top. View, top. Plot, top. Castle, not really. More of a large villa.

Castle is actually a country house, beautiful location, beautiful outbuildings where the rooms are, negatives are, 1, the access of the neighbors is through the bedroom window so you cannot enjoy the beautiful view from your bed, 2, the central heating system makes a whooshing sound, 3, but a minibar but only filled with a bottle of water.

Relax in your own house on the estate. Rooms are attractive and fully furnished with beautiful ritual items. Separate mirror and hairdryer really a 10. Umbrellas are everywhere on the estate. Breakfast in one word great! It couldn't be fresher. The castle takes you back in time .. Just a class hotel.

Came here through Day of the Castle. Were a little late but were still allowed to walk through the castle garden! Then we wanted to have a drink and sit on the terrace. We saw 4 servants walking around and chatting with each other but just take our order! What a letdown! So I went again

Beautiful location. The care and food of friends on the wedding day was fine.

Beautiful place to be, dinner was very tasty, but you have to wait a long time and especially a small portion in relation to the price.
In the bedroom a large television is strange as there is enough space in the sitting room for one television.
Rooms are also very noisy.

Vanembirg Castle is a beautiful location for conferences due to the wide range of authentic spacious rooms. Furthermore, there are many amenities and good food.

Beautiful spacious apartment in the garden of the castle for a very reasonable price.

First of all, very friendly and cooperative staff. I was allowed to park my motorcycle on the terrace near the room because the receptionist correctly estimated that it would be nice to be able to keep an eye on it during the stay. The rooms are beautifully situated and the whole gives the impression of that little bit extra. The room was perfectly clean with plenty of towels provided. Coffee, tea and water are provided in the room for free. The present bathrobe, slippers and amenity kit give a luxurious look to the whole.

Very bad mattress for a luxury room (P07), really not for sleeping. Coffee bad too. Breakfast mediocre quality. Restaurant nice. Environment very beautiful.

An attractive restaurant in a beautiful Veluwe location. The dishes are well-portioned and beautifully presented. The price / quality ratio is excellent. In addition to a normal wine arrangement, a Bob arrangement with half glasses is also served. Friendly service.

WE HAD A GOOD WEEKEND, ROOMS FINE FOOD FINE! ONLY THAT IS REALLY NOT POSSIBLE IS THE BREAKFAST ROOM IN THE SOUTERRAIN. WAY TOO BUSY DESPITE TIMELOCKS AND CONFUSED. NO GOOD VENTILATION TOO. MOST OF THE PACKAGED IN PLASTIC THEREFORE SUMMER BUT LOW CEILING AND DESPITE TABLES ABOUT 1 M FROM EACH OTHER THERE WAS STILL PEOPLE WALKING ALONG YOUR TABLE OR TO THE COFFEE MACHINE THROUGH THE SMALL SPACE.
FEELING UNSAFE AND WITH OTHERS. 1 ASK EVEN RUN AWAY.

Diner was really superb. We got the six course xmas dinner two days before xmas. Each course was great. The whole entourage was special. Rooms were ok.

The castle was beautiful with a very special collection of very old trees in the garden, really beautiful! The rooms are located separately from the main building in groups of four, well equipped. A good restaurant we enjoyed.
Unfortunately one but and that is the processionary caterpillar that they cannot do anything about, but could have warned! Because of the many bike rides we are under the bumps because it is suffocating near the trees with nests and the hairs whirl over you when you cycle past with little clothing in the eyes and mouth in warm weather, everywhere, very dangerous and annoying. Ah those few bugs they said.
Unwise and without much respect for the guests.

What a fantastic place to have lunch. The terrace is hidden from the street behind the castle and the dishes are 1 by 1 gems. We were pleasantly surprised!

Had a great stay last summer! Booked through nuwegexclusief.nl and that was for a competitive price! For this amount we got a lot. We had our own house with a garden, we could sit outside in the evening. Dinner was also included and this was predetermined. You could indicate if you did not like something and an alternative was devised. It was a successful dinner. We also slept well and the breakfast was also very tasty. The staff were very friendly and helped us well when the door of our cottage wouldn't open. I recommend this estate to everyone!

3 weeks ago our daughters reserved an overnight stay and dinner in vanenburg for Saturday 21 October for 4 people. A dinner in a castle, a surprise for us, their parents, 90 and 91 years old. A big disappointment, although booked 3 weeks in advance, the dining room turned out to be full, in a chilly conference room with up to 100 seats, a table was waiting for us to our astonishment. We were offered an aperitif as compensation, but we still think this was really not possible

We have been here 1 year ago. What have we enjoyed. The hotel and the garden it is beautiful as are the surroundings. Amersfoort is a great place to shop. We had a room incl. A living room in separate buildings in the garden. Really recommend!
