Super impressed! I visited on a friend's suggestion bc of joint pain while training for my first 5K in a decade. I had just bought new shoes elsewhere, but they put me on their treadmill, evaluated my stride and confirmed the problem. Great integrity! Honestly told me my new shoes were what they would recommend & gave me tips on how to press on. Great to know I can wo worry of injury. Will definitely visit them to buy my next pair of shoes!

Couldn't recommend this place more - great shop, with knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful pros behind the counter. They analyzed my stride and could tell me exactly what I needed. They didn't have my size, and rather than sell me the wrong shoe, they recommended me to a nearby big box store that would have my size, and even gave me some tips on what to try out. You can't find that kind of honesty and care in sales these days. The next time I need ANYTHING running sports related, I'm coming straight here!

Just stopped by after browsing all the local running stores for some new treads and what a sigh of relief!!!!!! Finally, excellent selection and even better customer service. Mackenzie was helping my mom and I out and she was insanely knowledgeable and patient after spending 2 hours with us in the store. Look no further this is hands down the go to for your feet s running needs.
Best shoe store employees I've ever dealt with! Jacob was friendly, unbelievably helpful, and shared far better running advice and conversation than I was expecting to get! I left with one of the best pairs of shoes from a brand I've never tried, and I can't wait to go back!

I was disappointed with the level of service I received by KC Running & Sports Medicine Store. I purchased the store's custom-made orthotics/insoles and did not receive the product and service I was hoping to receive.

We just left the store, on 135th St, with well fitted shoes. Only one person was working, Javier Seja (not sure about the spelling). He did such a wonderful job handling everyone (6 customers) at the same time, and had a wonderful personality. Everyone left with new shoes and good attitudes. This guy needs a raise!
Great staff with horrible ownership. Run by people who don t run and put profit over everything else. I shop anywhere but here for ethical reasons.
If you need running gear (especially shoes) this is your place. Staff is great and really helpful in finding just what you need. They also have group runs on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at 6pm and Sunday mornings at 7am.

I had a great experience at KC Running Company. I just started running after several years off and was experiencing some knee pain. The gentleman there was able to record me on a treadmill to determine the cause and then showed me some running shoes that will solve the issue.
I wish I would have gotten his name, but Kaylah ringed me up and she was very nice as well. Both of the associates were knowledgeable and friendly. I will definitely be checking out their group runs in the future.

KC running company hosts the best running races in town! The medals are always top notch, & the races are well organized. & then if you need new shoes, the staff is knowledgeable and can help you you find the right fit.
The staff are awesome .. the prices are expensive. And the location is to far to drive to store .then they do not have your size . But the other store did but that's in lee summit and again they didn't have my size . And not a lot to choose from when it comes to comfort .
After recently spraining my ankle, I needed a brace for a variety of sports. The man assisting me (didn't get his name) was extremely helpful. He recommended a brace and fit me for it. He offered helpful tips based on my injury, and was overall extremely friendly and accommodating. He also made sure I had insurance info to submit if I'd like. I appreciated the great service!
A small company with a lot of heart. They host weekly runs on Sunday morning with water and Gatorade put out every two miles. The store has most of what any running store would have but they do custom running t-shirts that have meet local designs. When I buy my running shoes they have always had my size and have been helpful in the selection.
Came in on a weekday afternoon - April the 26th (misplaced the receipt with gentleman's name on it, I think it had a Q or a G for the start of his name) for a quick gait analysis, left with genuine camaraderie and an understanding of what I needed to change as a runner to reduce my ankle pain -- and a pair of shoes to help me with it all!

Great staff, service and setup to get you set for running. They helped fit my cross country running son with the right shoes. They also support and sponsor many events around town, creating a great running culture. Will be back again.

Extremely knowledgeable and helpful on getting the best shoe and insert. My physical therapist recommended the KC Running Co as I have been having tendinitis issues. Even though I m not a runner, they made me feel welcome and were happy to help me.
