The price is affordable. The staff is very helpful. Rooms are nice but not perfect. No refrigerator in the rooms. I didn't need it, but if you need it, you have to ask. From here, you can also take a train to London city center in 15 minutes.
Great place to stay, impeccable, great bar and restaurant downstairs, breakfast is lovely. Plenty of options and lots of fruits.
Currently on my second visit to this particular hotel, and simply cannot fault it. Polite and attentive staff, and spotless rooms which are furnished with everything you could ever need. Plus, when I arrived to check in I was informed that there was a surprise for me in the room, and when I went to the room there was a lovely slice of cake, welcoming me back for being a return customer. It's the little gestures that truly sets this hotel apart from others. I would definitely recommend.
Very good location
clean spacious rooms, friendly service, good breakfasts (English),
minus - extension of the day 10 GBP per hour is too much
very nice hotel located in Watford. very friendly staff. nice room with bath (soap, shampoo and shower gel available in large quantity, dutch hotel can learn something from it) large box spring beds with lots of pillows
Hotel in the main is good. Nice rooms and bar but couple of issues
Food isn't great
Aircon in rooms hit and miss
TV channel selection terrible (not even BBC news)
Security lock on stairs often means you can't get out as access card doesn't work.
Just next to High street, where you can find a lot of nice restaurants, next to to Intu Watford mall and a Sainsbury. Quiet and clean. Nice and helpful staff. Delicious english breakfast and also some other nice choices. Terrible coffee. Room ok, nothing special. Bathroom quite small. The shower is only with fix shower head from above. Overall a nice experience.
This hotel is in central Watford, a ten minute walk from the main train station, Watford Junction. There's no parking on site however they do offer discounts with a car park just around the corner. The bar and the food served within are both high quality and the rooms themselves are nicely decorated and include a comfortable, if not small, bed.
Unfortunately, there is no agreement with the hotel when you need something so bad. Especially when you pay them the rest is uninterested.
We had a nice 2 night stay as went to to visit the nearby Harry Potter World which is only 10-15 mins away. The staff had excellent customer service and were very friendly. We ate in the Hotel Restaurant, food was excellent although my More
Nice hotel overall, clean rooms and bar, restaurant. Great breakfast
Very clean, and the staff were so helpful! We parked really close and received a discount for the parking fee too!
Excellent facilities in room, and helpful and friendly staff.
Very clean and neat hotel. Ideally situated to visit the Harry Potter display at Warner Brother's Studio.
I saw the foto's and was more than happy to see that when we got to the hotel we had a FREE bathtub and a extra bed we didnt know about. (asociated with effeweg.nl )
Had a lovely meal in the restaurant and a pint they keep a nice pint.
Really nice hotel unfortunately it doesn't have a car park. There's one about 5 minutes away which you have to pay for. Nice restaurant area and lovely food.
Clean , helped to prepared breakfast for early flight.
Great location, deal with very near carpark, clean comfortable rooms, great breakfast with some good healthy options, what's not to like!
Rooms and service were lovely. Great location for what was needed. Overall nice hotel
Bathroom lock feel off and the fold is very overpriced however we got a deal that included breakfast which was really good
So it's a very nice hotel but the walls are badly isolated if theirs someone in the room text to you. Also it's near a very nice alley to the right when you exit the lobby. In that alley their is a desert island, very nice restaurants with vegaterien and vegan options.the hotel is nice and you don't hear any street noise, the beds are nice and the blankets are warm.in my room I got confused with the number of light switches.i hope that this review is helpful.
I have edited this review and rated it 4 from 2 as I have received a response from the hotel management. A very kind response. 'Halal food is available on request. Cross contamination is avoided. The menu however is limited. Like I have mentioned a definite yes for stays and staff.'
Rooms and staff are still great. Not my first review. The staff are excellent. Rooms are great and spacious. Has Aircon. Aircon is not common in Europe. Standard iron&board, electric kettle etc. However no refrigerator or microwave. The hotel menu is basically from Sparta. It's spartan. Pork is served here. Room service carries a tray charge of 4.95 British pounds currency. However this is not an issue as there are tons of food joints nearby within 5 minutes of walk and at least 2 supermarkets.
A definite yes for stays and staff. Food is up to individual beliefs and preferences.
Okay went as part of a coach trip. Food was nothing write home about
Ideal place if you need to stay in London for a while with affordable price.
Expensive rooms, front staff were rude and obnoxious
The restaurant area and the ambience is very comforting.....the staff is friendly and smiling...the only problem is with parking. You really don't have any parking in the vicinity.
needs more milk in rooms but really comfy and got good wifi
Central location to town centre not much car parking though.
Good location, 10 minute walk from Watford station. Clean rooms, great service and a nice breakfast buffet.
Nice room. Nice venue. Parking is fun. Not. The room key failed and had to be redone. Breakfast was lovely
Very nice and friendly staff and atmosphere. Room was clean and had all the usual amenities, but felt like things were bolted down (shower gel and soap) making it feel like it wasn t for you.
Nice place not far to main shops and football club will come again
Helpful and friendly staff, the hotel is in great location as it's a 30 second walk from Intu Watford and the McDonald's area for shops, bars and restaurants.
The breakfast is very nice and open for a good amount of time.
The rooms are ok, clean, tidy but nothing stand out.
It's only a 5 minute drive away from the Harry Potter studio tour which was the reason for the trip.
Friendly staff very good and clean hotelroom. Delicious breakfast
Lovely looking hotel. Good choices for breakfast. Pity the staff were unsmiling and a bit curt as if you were a bother. They could do with a sign telling customers that you need to use a clean plate for 'seconds' and not just take the one you've been eating off for a refil. Not their fault but I saw a gentleman do just that! Revolting.
Excellent Hotel. Lovely clean, comfortable rooms. Fabulous Breakfast with a great choice & enjoyable evening meals too. Great location for access to London & Harry Potter. A most enjoyable stay had by all the family. Hopefully we'll be back soon! Highly recommended!
Very pretty town worth coming back to. Nice hotel and very polite and nice people.
Great hotel. Bedrooms clean and comfortable. Plentiful breakfast. Staff very polite and helpful. Convenient for motorway and rail system. Highly recommended.
Clean rooms ,adequate if you wish to dine in London book somewhere before you arrive at the hotel
Nice hotel. Room big enough for a one night stay. Bed a bit hard and good do with spares pillows and blanket. Breakfast was lovely. Convenient location for Harry Potter World.
Lovely clean hotel, comfy beds, great breakfast, friendly staff what more do you need
OK place but main problem was my room was way too hot and the air con was centrally controlled so I had to ring reception during the night to cool the room.
Lovely hotel in a great location as only 15 mins from London on tube - Watford Town centre also has a lot to offer for shopping, food and night life
Got to love this place in a beautiful quiet part of London with scenic views on your doorstep
Went to a meeting in one of the conference rooms. Very nice facilities.
Availability was low so I got upgraded to an executive suite. The room was great, breakfast was lovely. Fruit was good. Service was excellent!
Ideal hotel for access to London without London prices. Five minutes walk to the station. No car park so use the station
Nice modern Hotel in the center of Watford. Rooms are comfortable and in a good shape. Nice bar and restaurant.
Good But Could Do With A Water bottle to drink. No fridge, No toothpaste No safe No car park.
The beds and pillows are good, rooms are neat and tidy. The breakfast is not as good as other hotels nearby. And the restaurant is pretty average, some things on the menu are better off being scrapped. Otherwise an overall good hotel to stay. A gym would have been a nice plus.
Great if you go to see The Making of Harry Potter, it is also very close to the train station, where you can take the train that leaves you in London in about 20 minutes and the center of Watford, where there is a shopping center and many places to eat or drink coffee.
Hotel has been rebuilt since last visit. Much better than before. Also the restaurant is good.
Quick and efficient service at the bar. Serves Costa coffee.
I arrived very early and they held my luggage while I was able to explore the area. The staff were very helpful in suggesting places to eat and convenient ways to travel. The rooms were spacious and usual for London hotels. The food was delicious and the place was kept very clean. I would definitely stay here again!
I stay here more then 15 times... This means something.
Lovely rooms, extremely quiet and very comfortable..
Rooms were well kept and equipped with basic appliances. Front desk was very receptive and helpful with any questions and problems.
Room and breakfast were great I'm afraid the evening meal was atrocious.
Only stayed one night really good hotel great location in the town room perfect
Economical hotel...the interior is very similar to travel lodge and holiday in...very basic but good value for money..
Very average. Bad breakfast, room dated, bed was on an angle
