jubilation dinner theatre Review

Went to Buddy Holly tonight and the show was great. The only bad part was the food. My wife and I both ordered the burgers and what a mistake. They were cold as well as very very chewy. As a result we both had a few bites and then just let them take them back as we did not eat them. So go see the show as was great but don't order the burgers as you will be disappointed. We had our normal seats and the waiter was great . All in all was ok but the food sucked. Mr and Mrs Tews.

The productions are always entertaining. The food is always decent. I don't like that you can't necessarily customize the food (ie. Without gravy or something). Overall, decent though.

Great food. Enjoy interacting with the help and the cast. Enjoy the singing. I go every chance I get

I had the privilege of taking in a show while I was in Edmonton, Canada on business, I decided to see "That's Dirty Dancing" at the Jubilations Dinner Theatre. I love dinner theater's and the movie "Dirty Dancing" so I thought it would be great! I was NOT disappointed! When we arrived, since I had booked last minute, there was a slight mix up of table seating and we weren't on the list, the gentleman immediately escorted us to the box office to sort everything out. He was very polite and courteous and resolved the issue quickly and efficiently, then personally escorted us to our seats. The food was amazing and the show was fantastic! We had such a great time and I would definitely recommend this dinner theatre to anyone who will be in the Edmonton area and looking for a fun evening out! The cast was fun and interactive! Due to a minor technical difficulty, most of the performance was completed after the food was served, but the cast didn't miss a beat, they had everyone laughing and thoroughly enjoying their evening. I'm always impressed when the cast manages to keep things going and roll with the punches, even when technology fails them!! Overall, it was a fantastic night! Go and enjoy dinner and a show, you won't be sorry!!!!

The kids food was dry the tatter tots were very dry. The show was disappointing they sang to many adult songs not necessarily ones kids knew.

Jubilations is always a great time, the staff is amazing and the food is excellent. I sometimes hear complaints about the food, but the truth is if you were paying for just the food or just the show you MIGHT be able to say it's a tad expensive. But for both it's a fantastic deal.

Also for what it's worth my family and I all think the roast beef is better than the prime rib. (Cause the toast beef is that good)

Jubilations have done an excellent job of maintaining social distancing. The fact that the '100% live vocals' has had to be replaced with recordings, to adhere to Covid-19 protocols, does not in any way detract from the performance.
I enjoyed a delightful roast beef dinner while my partner stated how tasty the butter chicken was.
Recommend.

We had the grandkids with us and they treated them so good great meal very entertaining

The new stage area and seating bowl is not an improvement. Sound near the outside seats is muffled. But I must say, ive only not enjoyed one show....Modern Family. But the rest have been quite enjoyable! Prime rib plus salt and pepper is good. Salmon excellent.

Great place to go. Safety and fun were definitely priorities!!

Saw friends the lost episode. Great entertainment. Our waitress was incredible. The actors did a perfect job! Food was very salty for my liking but the show and service made up for everything. The actor who played Ace was absolutely perfect for the role!

Food was ok. The play was ok. Wouldn't go again, found it very expensive for what we got.

Have gone here for years and I always enjoy the show. Food was ok the first few times but it seems like the same thing year after year ...

The gentleman that played Ace Ventura was exceptional. Usually a great time. We go at least once a year and have been to all 3 theaters.

I don't normally write reviews, but for some reason, I needed to for Jubilations. We just saw Mama Mia. The actors were good, the show was good, the singing was good. There were times when the actors seemed really out of breath and it affected their performance, but overall, the show was good. Hubby thought it was over the top, but thats just sort of how I view theatre, so it was as it should be, in my opinion.
Our server drove us nuts. He wasn't funny, at all. I won't say what character he played, but he didn't know when to stop, and to be honest, I don't think he knew anything about the character he played, which made him even more annoying. Service was slow. It took over 30 minutes for our drinks to come. Our group was the last to get everything, and most people around us had already finished eating by the time our food even arrived. Our food was mediocre. All of our soup bowls were dirty. The salad was just weird...oranges, taco bits, poppy seed dressing and red onion. Our meals were again, just ok. Hubby didn't like his at all, mine was ok. Dessert wasn't what was on the menu, so we had dried chocolate ganache cake instead.
There was a large group that truly ruined it for us. Not the fault of Jubilations, but when you allow a group of cheerleaders into the theatre, you wouldn't expect that it would ruin your meal, but they did. They were very rowdy and rude, interrupting the show, chanting their team name really loud in between sets, and they kept getting picked to go on stage to dance, and they were turning a family friendly event into an 18+ event when they did so (there were young children at the next table who were very privy to this!). I felt that the staff encouraged them to continue to interrupt. We weren't the only ones to comment on this. I felt that the staff should have asked them to tone it down so others could enjoy the show, and picked others not from the group to be part of the show. Because of how disruptive they were, we couldn't really enjoy the show, and it was non stop throughout the show from them.
I wish I could say that I will go back one day, but it was a pricey and very lengthy night, with mediocre food, and subpar service, and a group that ruined it. I would rather just go to the Citadel instead for theatre. At least I could enjoy the show without a disruptive party.

Always a great evening!! I have food sensitivities and there is always good options for me to eat and the show has always been awesome! A great date night or night out with friends .

Another outstanding visit to Jubilations. Saw "Friends the Lost Episode" it was an excellent performance. Great adaptation and amazing cast. Highly recommended!! Great meal with a very lively performance.

Great fun, very entertaining, and the performers even help serve patrons. Do ensure that you select a show/genre you like because the meal is secondary to the wonderful performance event.

I always have an amazing time at this theatre! The food is great and the staff are phenomenal! If you've never been to a dinner theatre, I highly recommend Jubilations!

My family has come here 3 times, and we have never been dissapointed, we love it! Foods great, service is great the shows are always super entertaining.

Rock and Roll show was a 5 really good entertainment. The food was not good at all.

This was my first time at Jubilations and it was in the middle of Covid-19. They had taken all precautions and did it with ease and fun. The food and entertainment were exemplary and the staff make it a fun and remarkably exciting experience. I can't wait to go again.

We have been here many times. The first time we went the food was horrible. These days they have really upped their dinner game. The performances are always very cartoonish and honestly the servers can get a bit annoying while they try to stay in character. But it is a very pleasant evening and it is child friendly.

My husband and I went to the show last Saturday night (Happy Days/Buddy Holly). WHAT A DISAPPOINTING EVENING!!!! After we finally got our drink order taken, it took 45 minutes to get our drinks. The food was not bad but again to receive our food took forever while we watched everyone else eat. Dishes were piling up on our little 2 person table as no one bothered to take them away after each course. The show was pathetic!! Bad acting/singing. At the end of the night we waited 40 minutes to be able to pay our bill. Very unorganized, poor service. We have gone before but for the money/service/show - I think our money can be spent better somewhere else.

Was not as toe tapping as I thought it would be.. boring!!

It was my first time there and all 5 of us had a great time. The staff were great, got really into their characters; and the show was really good, they have some very talented singers.

The production I saw, Mama Mio, was in my opinion amateurish. The dinner was rather mediocre as well. I don t think I will return.

Had really good experience here. Great customer service, great shows, the cast member are great at keeping the audience engaged by singing great and encouraging audience partcipation. The alcohol and food is really good too. Except, I found the menu exaggerated the good quality of the entrees, desserts, etc. Overall, a good experience that will make you want to come back again.

Very interesting and you won't be disappointed if you visit this place

Our first experience Feb 18th and I liked it.
I really liked how the waiters/waitresses ( actors) did such an enthusiastic job of serving dressed up in the theme of the night.
We saw " Ferris Bullers School Of Rock"
We paid the extra 6 bucks for the option of Prime Rib and well worth it.
The suggested wine was perfect.
Huge enthusiasm every step of the show on and off the stage.
Get out of the house and go see them.

So much fun! The servers and on stage staff are so talented and funny. Great atmosphere. I've been several times, the food has always been good.

I went here awhile ago and the service and show were great! They were also very accommodating when it came to my vegan diet. They made me a shepherds pie that was very delicious, I wish I could have gotten the recipe for it!!

I have not been to Jubilations Dinner theatre nor will I ever attend.

Our business was contacted by the owner of Jubilations dinner regarding potential advertising. When our owner took the phone and found out it was regarding advertising he simply told him that he would have to talk to the person in charge of advertising. The person was rude and asked our owner "Why would I want to talk to them if you are the owner" He then hung up!

We called Jubilations and explained what had just occurred and the girl who answered started laughing. Then she told me she would put me through to him... WHAT! WHAT KIND OF SERVICE IS THAT! The shows they put on must be just as bad! I will forever be mentioning this to friends and co workers. This is a business that I will not support.

A wildly interactive and unique dinner theatre experience! Great for the whole family. Go to check out an laugh and be wowed by your favorite musical hits!!

I love the atmosphere the people and the experience.

Went here on Oct 26th for our Anniversary. Absolutely terrible service, we were completely ignored and never offered drinks or coffee like ever other guest, when we finally asked someone they said they would send someone over, no one showed up till it was time to pay. Such an upsetting experience.

Excellent all around food entertainment drinks dessert wine 4 1/2 hours great value.

Delightful experience, the combination of food and show is taken to new and fun heights with the inspired productions put on all the time.

There is a reason why I've been to that place many times

We have attended a couple of times, it s a lot of fun, you need to have a sense of humour. One cool part is the waiters and waitresses dress into characters

My wife and I saw Mugs & Molls at Jubilations, and overall were sadly disappointed:
One or two of the performers were really talented, but the majority were surprisingly (almost embarrassingly!) weak to be in a professional show, (forgetting lines, unable to hold down a basic dance routine) The production itself was only just above your average school theatre production.

Some of the servers were fun, but when I sent a cloudy glass of wine back that tasted very much like it was watered down, (!) the waitress brought it back, and told me that was how it was supposed to be (which I can only guess means someone in the kitchen took a sip & then sent it back out!!) on that note, be careful with the drinks; it's clear that Jubilations works hard to milk their clients via the bar tab (cheapest small glass of wine just under $7).

Food quality was OK, although they don't offer much of a range.

Overall we came away feeling a little "shaken down" but then again it was a show about mobsters.

We really enjoyed Rock and Roll Heaven. The singing and acting was amazing! The food was just alright (The chicken entree was too sweet, and the roast beef was a little dry) but the show more than made up for it.

I was very surprised at the end to find out that the actors were actually singing, and not a recording of the people they are imitating! Good job! Will come again.

Great staff and good food. Even during covid they managed to overcome the complexities of social distancing and maintaining the atmosphere and character of the shows.

I recently attended the show with my wife and a group of friends. Our hope was to have an adult night out. Unable to find a babysitter, we decided to buy an extra ticket for our 8 year old son. He became the star of the night. The cast was wonderful in interacting and engaging with him. They even brought him up on stage twice. He had such a great time and could not stop smiling all night. He was still talking about the next morning. When you win the kid over you win the parent over. Well done.

The show was fine the food acceptable but the waiter we had insulted my wife for using the wrong fork. She had a horrible week at work and we were out to just have fun, not have some imbicile show off his "inteligence" at her expense. Rude and unacceptable.
