They will drop everything when you walk in to help you. I took an 8 year old computer and a 1 year old Laptop in to be fixed; the laptop needed new memory and wireless card. They checked out the older computer and found that most of the problems were due to old age and a lot of use. They made their recommendations for a new computer adapted to my needs and they were right on. When I got the computer home I found they had transferred all my files and when I opened my outlook all of my emails from the old computer were transferred! I could have bought a computer at Sam's Club or Best Buy but the service you get from J&S is worth much more than the savings you get from a discount store They make the transition to a new computer very easy with no aggravation! I absolutely love these guys!!!! They are the best! I am older and in school. They are patient and kind when answering my silly questions about computers and how things work. Adam is truly a gem and has spent time at my house hooking up the new computer we bought from them. I trust them with all my computers and questions. These guys are local. Why would you look elsewhere to buy or for service when J&S is at your front door. They are way better than the GEEK squad. The service at J&S is top notch. 5 stars all the way. I won't go anywhere else!

Great service and great people here!! Zack and John were excellent. My daughter dropped her laptop last week right in the middle of final exam week. The guys replaced here damaged hard drive and turned her computer around in one day! They saved the day for her. Additionally, since the hard drive was so badly damaged, retrieving the data had to be done one file at a time. Zack actually took the hard drive home and transferred her files on his time so she could get the them back before her graduation and move out. Can't say enough nice things about guys. Highly recommended!!
The sprint store is a excellent place if you are looking to buy a new phone! They have a great selection of phones the employees are extremely well at telling me everything I needed to know about my new phone I was buying we compared and decided what phone I got and were extremely helpful definitely would recommend to anyone that wasn't to buy a phone and phone supplies!!

JS has repaired several of my iphone screens and batteries and several cracked ipad screens. They do a nice job. Hard to find someone local to do this type of work efficiently and cost effectively. Nice work.
If I could give a review lower than one star I would. Was having trouble removing my graphics card and asked if he could help Me, he offered too help. He failed to remove the card. He ended up breaking a heat transistor off my mother board and tried to re solder it and failed. He was rude after I said that I didn t break it then he said I didn t sign any paper work that I would do it under warranty I was extremely frustrated. Another customer came in and complained while I was there and he seemed not too care. WOULDNT GO HERE TERRIBLE SERVICE. I can t believe the horrible customer service, if you go here expect your stuff too be broken. Explains why they will be closing down.

When ever something goes wrong with any of my computers, I always take them to JS computer. They give quality work with little cost. They are fast and efficient. There's no other place I would trust to work on computers. Give them a try. You will be highly satisfied with their work. They even sell computers, tha'ts where I got my 17" Toshiba at a very reasonable price.

I had a really good experience getting my new phone. I went in the first time to inquire about a new phone upgrade and was given useful information and even had my plan changed since he realized I could save money! Went in a couple days after and had a smooth transition on getting my new phone with a quick and painless process and even got me started on getting my phone up and running. Highly recommend using this Sprint shop and asking for Josh since he helped me out big time!

I had to get my screen on my phone fixed. They did a great job. On the site it said they would take an hour but the guys said they could have it done in 45 if I really needed it. The guys every told me they could fix the power button. The price was ok but since it is electronic, I couldn't disagee with that.
Over the past several years, whenever my wife or I needs to have work done on our laptops, we have been coming to J&S. We both have been very satisfied with our experience with them. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The services are provided in a timely manner and their prices are reasonable.

our family cell phones are thru sprint, and we rely on josh for guidance and sales. he has transferred our old info to new phones (by hand on one occassion due to a connector on our old phone being broken...this was a huge help!), retrieved vital information that we otherwise could not have gotten, and given us lots of great advice, and always friendly service. our computer issues taken to j&s have been successful and appreciated. so glad they are personable, experienced, and close to home.

From our newly purchased laptops for our business to repairs of our home and personal equipment, they have been fantastic from beginning to end. It is rare to find this kind of top quality personalized service in a very "impersonal" business where you can buy anything from anywhere. I gotta say, I'm very disappointed In the service and workmanship. The man couldn't solder to save his life and it took forever. He even defended his work instead of correcting it. I'm convinced that the positive reviews are alt accounts of the owner. My PG rated description for this buisness would be "terrible"
I just needed thermal paste quick and didnt feel like ordering some or driving to best buy. I call in, he says they "have 2 left", I say "ill be in for one". I stop in and no one is in the store, so now it just me awkwardly standing looking around alone, a guy finally comes out from the back after like 5 min, doesnt say hi or anything, *I find the paste on my own*, the paste was oddly loose in one bag, grab the bag set it on the counter in hope the guy takes one out and place the bag back for me, cos why would I take a stores loose item out of a bag and hold on to it til I pay, no one does that. Guy says " you want both right" knowing I just called 5 min ago and said I need *one* at 7 buck each I say "umm i guess so" just to get me out asap. Rings it for 14 and change, dont really care. This guy asked me for a phone number, I said "for what? are yous going to call me?" he says " YES & so they can keep track that they sold me something" they sold me a loose item, no packaging or anything and needed my phone number for an item they arnt even keeping track of. If i get spam calls I know who to go to. Anyways about the shop, the reviews arnt 100% right, one said they sold new phones, I didint see a single phone while i was inside, in fact I didnt see much of anything, bare walls and what they did have were OLD parts that were not current to the past 10 years, example theyre selling "new in the box" G-force 6200s graphics cards, these cards came out in 2004. THE GUY AT THE COUNTER I kid not was sitting at the desk on tinder looking at girls way out of his league, I know this cos he laid his phone right in front of me to ring me up. Defiantly wont be going back and will spend the extra going else ware. Completely unprofessional I cant even believe all this happened
The sprint store is very helpful with buying new chargers I bought a new charger from there the other day there a little pricey but for the extra cash your buying a better product. The charger I got is in perfect condition and I got it few months ago. While the regular Apple charge broke on me these are very reliable.
Those guys are on top of what they do. I've been patronizing their establishment for years, what took 7 to 10 days before, took less than 6 hours. Thumbs up to their "express" workmanship.
I had a desktop that needed to be updated. I kept putting it off, mostly because I didn't know the right terminology to use to say what I thought needed done. I finally called J & S, after hearing nothing but good things about them. I should have called them long ago!!! Everyone was very nice and able to tell me in "layman" terms what should be done. But in no way was I pushed to have anything done. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I will definitely be calling them for any future computer issues!!!
I purchase a good used Asus computer from J&S Computer Sales & a used Samsung monitor& keyboard & mouse. at the end of January-2014 cost over $330.00. Just took it back in to have it check I was having some problems with it. They check the the computer out & told me I had 72 viruse. To check it out cost $74.00,how within two months I got that many viruses. They told that need to purchase antivirus software for $40.00, that Microsoft security software was okay that came on the computer but would not stop different viruses. Also it would be a good idea to get a six month pc extended service plan for 6 months, so I purchase it for a year for $84.00. Now I have invested $528.00. Not being a computer geek I wish they would have told me about the other plans when I purchase the computer after spending this about of money I thought maybe they would offer a 10% discount on the extended service plan which would have been nice. Hopefully my computer will run great for the next year.Now with the service plan J&S can remote my computer from home to fix any problems I would have, so I don't have to make 5 trips to the store like I did this past week.
Update: They are getting better, I haven't had to use them for service because I can fix my own machines, so they may have great service (I would assume they would seeing how long they have been in business). I only use them when I need parts I don't want to wait have mailed. Sometimes they have what I need, sometimes they don't. The pricing is high, but I always support local business, people have bills to pay.
They remodeled and separated Sprint from the repair. It's nice. Cool too (IT IS HOT AS I WRITE THIS!).
We dealt with J&S since they were on the square in Palmyra. We bought our laptop from them. They are absolutely wonderful and very affordable. Josh has helped us twice when we had a problem he was very helpful. If you need help with your computer I would recommend going to J&S.
J&S is by far the best repair shop for all of your electronic needs. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. I was able to quickly get my PC diagnosed and had the parts installed in a matter of two days. Best part was, the cost was very cheap for how expensive my PC initially cost. I would highly recommend J&S to anyone in need of a repair.
In early July we decided we wanted a laptop computer and would not think of buying it any place other than J & S in Palmyra because we value their opinion and trust them completely. They ordered us a new Toshiba Satellite Touch-Screen Laptop with Windows 8.1 and promptly transferred the data from our other computer and installed many additional programs including Microsoft Office. They also explained things to me and answered many, many questions since I am a novice computer user and neither my husband nor myself has ever used Windows 8.1. Everyone who works there is very knowledgeable and great to work with. We have been dealing with J & S for many years and would not think of using anyone else for any of our computer needs and/or problems. These guys are the best!!
Instead of really owning a breakdown in service, the owner (John) provided a series of reasons why it took 2 weeks (10.5 business days) to run antivirus software and install a new OS on my Mac. I was more frustrated by the string of excuses than I have been with any other business in the last 5 years (easily). Instead of some meaningful apology, such as a major reduction in the $100 service fee, I got an upgrade in the OS and data retrieval, neither of which I asked for or needed.
Our law office has relied upon J&S Computer Sales & Service since their inception. They have always been courteous and professional. Whenever there is an issue with our server or computers, they have worked diligently to get us up and running as quickly as possible (sometimes this has meant working into the wee hours of the morning). We are thankful to have a local company of this caliber to work with. Many thanks to J&S!

4/30/15 Almost a year since my last review and eveything written then continues. J&S continue to be helpful, knowledgeable, and to give sound advice.
I have used the computer repair services at J&S Computer twice, and on both occasions, the repair services have been excellent, as the repair technicians have demonstrated technical knowledge, patience and adept problem solving skills. I am comfortable fixing hardware and software problems with my computer, however, i am also stubborn, and when problems with my computer became too much, I was able to rely on the expertise of J&S computers to correct my mistakes and get my computer running. The problems started when i spilled hot coffee on my macbook pro. The technicians at J&S computers successfully replaced my laptop keyboard, a labor intensive job, and also diagnosed a faulty wire which was inhibiting the performance of the laptop mouse track pad. A few months later, my hard drive went bad. It appeared that i lost much of my data, however the repair technicians were able to try several different data recovery methods, and recovered all important data on my laptop windows and mac dual partitioned hard drive. So once again, thanks to the knowledge, persistence and technical expertise of the repair technicians of J&S computers, my macbook pro laptop is running just as well as before my coffee spilling incident.
