These people will steal from you, and then treat you like it's normal business practices.

I am trying to give 0 stars, but it seems there is a theme here with a lot of these reviews. These people at JRK properties are the worst. They steal your money, they don't respond, and the property manager at The Residences at Tewksbury consistently told me on the phone "I'm not afraid of you sir" when I called to demand my application deposit back, for an apartment that they falsely advertised as being available, when it wasn't.

Moral of this story, don't rent from any complex that is managed and owned by JRK property holdings. By far the worst experience I have had to go through in dealing with being a renter.

This is a giant corporation and likely no one cares about me as a tenant of the Summit at Red Rocks apartments in Golden, CO, but I am very dissatisfied with management. After becoming exasperated with the level of service provided by local management, I've written JRK properties directly and they did not respond at all. It should be a crime for massive corporations like this to own so many properties and siphon their massive wealth out of the pockets of working class people who can't afford to buy homes locally because the price of rentals drives of the cost of a modest home...My review likely will be ignored as well, since me being disappointed doesn't change the fact that large corporations like this own the majority of the housing market that isn't owner-occupied. Anyway, the one small thing I can do to show my dissatisfaction is make a public statement. We'll see if I have to call the BBB, code enforcement, local newspapers, or the mayor to get the massive wasp nest out of my balcony which I haven't been able to enjoy the entire time i've lived here. (thumbs up)

Our apartment complex in St Louis just got bought out by JRK. Since then, we have had significant issues with their hiring choices (specifically of maintenance) and overall apathy towards the living conditions of their residents. The front desk workers and new hires have been difficult to contact and work with making our living experience poor. Would not recommend living in a complex owned by JRK...

Want some proof? Take a look at the picture below. Either this guy Matt Jenkins has lived in 5 different JRK properties across the country in a year or these are fake reviews. This company is a SCAM. I ll be back to write a more detailed review of my TERRIBLE experience living at The Summit at Red Rocks in Colorado. Also, check out the class action lawsuit being filed against a JRK Property in California, Washington, and I'm sure more states. DO NOT LIVE HERE. If you are one of the unlucky people already living in a JRK property, have a lawyer at the ready when you move out and when "tenant relations" ignores you and charges you ridiculous fees, file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

After leaving my last 1 star review someone magically appeared at our apartment to fix all of our issues! However just like the last 15 people they sent to look at our AC he said there was a part missing and there is nothing they can do. He said the part cost $2000...... NOW IT MAKES SENSE WHY THEY DONT WANT TO FIX OUR AC AND NEVER CALL US BACK! :)

These people should be ashamed of themselves. Everytime I call in, its like they have never heard of my issue before. I live on the 3rd floor apartment. IT IS 90 DEGREES IN MY APARTMENT RIGHT NOW.

Is there anyway to bring these people to court? I have a broken, dishwasher, garbage disposal, air conditioner. If you call the main office a call center will answer and put you on an emergency call back list and you will never hear from anyone again. This place is so awful, we had to move our cats out of the apartment because the last few weeks have been so hot and they refuse to send someone to fix the AC this place is a trap, DO NOT SIGN A LEASE HERE.

I left a complaint about the current apartment complex I moved into, Indigo Park, and they never contacted me back. This business is a scam they do not care about their tenants. My AC has been out for 13 days and I moved in 14 days ago. It is the middle of summer in south Louisiana. Management does not care and all they do is make excuses and lie to your face. Paying $1500 a month for an apartment I cant even live in.

UPDATE: the old tenants who were there before us came by to pick up a package they had delivered to the apartment. They told me 5 days before they moved out the AC stopped working and TOLD THE LEASING OFFICE BEFORE THEY MOVED OUT. They moved out a week before we moved in. When I complained to management they told me "The girls who lived their before you never had any issues with the AC" so another lie to add to the list.

I have been renting from this company's property at Cabana West, Panama City Beach, FL. For past 4 months. If this is how they allow all of their holdings to be managed, they desrve this 1 star rating. They need to give their staff more help, especially maintenance.

Been renting for over 15 years. Easily the worst place I have ever rented from. Rarely review places but this is so bad my morality demanded it.

I stayed at one of their properties for a year. No one ever answers the phone or emails back. I payed 2k for a security deposit and everytime I call to ask about my refund no one is available. But they are always available for leasing, smh! Run!! Do not live in their properties, unless you like wasting money and time.

JRK Property Holdings is by far the worst management company I have ever worked with. Why? Let's see, you're owed a security deposit, you have confirmation in writing from the property manger stating you are owed the full security deposit, yet 4 months later you still don't have it. You move to a 2nd JRK property hoping for a better experience, yet it's worse. JRK employs under qualified people at the property, they do not receive training, their answer to everything is some corporate political answer, without JRK ever rectifying the issue. You don't get to see the apartment you are moving into, you see a model unit, your actual unit, is old, dusty, things don't work, rusted lightening in the bathroom, rusted drains in the shower, etc. Run far and run fast from any property managed by JRK. Tenant relations you say, well that is a joke also, you can leave a voicemail and/or email those go unanswered as well. After 4 months and no security deposit today I receive a letter stating monies due for rent and water bill, which have already been received and get told to disregard. Shame on you JRK
