I'm really enjoying my time with Jay (at the Journey Language Center) having conversations which, even with my limited Spanish, always end up being instructive and fun. Our conversations can be all over the map depending on what we bring to the table that day. Part of what makes class so enjoyable is the relaxed and open atmosphere that Jay creates. We are free to make mistakes and carry on as best we can, not holding back because we don't know a word or phrase. He's totally supportive and helpful and with each question or mistake he brings in new vocabulary and maybe even a mini lesson.... on prepositions or the difference between por and para and, of course, the past and future tenses. He weaves it all together to help our language skills come alive!
I highly recommend these classes!

I absolutely love the Journey Language Center in Longmont. The teachers David and Jay are amazing at what they do and I have learned so much about Spanish and different Latino cultures. The conversational exercises joined with learning the correct grammar and spelling helps me so much. I would recommend for anyone to try out the Journey Language Center. You will not be disappointed!

I spent 6 months studying Spanish with David. Excellent and helpful. Clear and constructive help, very friendly and engaging. Made learning a foreign language feel less overwhelming and doable. I will be returning to Journey Language Center in the future!

The Spanish class I took was a great refresher with fun instructors. There was flexibility in scheduling classes with a work group of 7-8 people. Would recommend!

I took the Italian lessons with David, and it was really fun, relaxing and instructive. I am now able to recognize and use some daily words, make brief greetings and learn more through online resources by myself. Thanks for introducing me into the world of Italian!

I would very much recommend the Journey Language Center! I have been taking Spanish lessons since January 2020 and have noticed a lot of progress! I started with in person lessons which I very enjoyed. But I need to admit the the video lessons (done through Zoom video due to the covid-19 situation) are awesome as well and the learning process is fun! Plus you can practice Spanish from the comfort of your couch! :)
David has been a wonderful instructor and with taking private lessons it has given me scheduling flexibility, and also an opportunity to choose topics I wanted to work on every week. Highly recommend, especially if you feel like you have an extra time these days and want to learn/improve Spanish in a fun & effective way!

I have taken beginning Italian with David Minaya and have had an excellent experience. The virus pandemic happened in the middle of my instruction so we switched from in person instruction to online. David is very caring and patient. I would highly recommend Journey Language center to anyone seeking language instruction.
