We love this place. After church shopping and not finding what we were looking for, we found Journey Church. It's been our church for more than a year now and we feel fortunate to be part of the Journey Family. Journey will renew your faith.

Our first visit at Journey Church was met with friendly warmth and intentional welcome. The teachings are truthful and practical. It's not a church to just entertain you but to challenge you to grow in your faith. It doesn't matter where you are in the journey ... whether you are not sure what you even believe or you have been a person of Christian faith for years, regardless, you will be challenged to take the next step in your Journey.

I really wanted to love this church. For the longest time, I was drawn to it. I glanced every time I drove by on the interstate.
On Easter, I finally gave it a chance. They were so incredibly welcoming to my son that day. They offered an alternative seating arrangement for his comfort. I was blown away.
We continued to attend every weekend, but oddly I noticed that we were suddenly fading into the background. My son is...different, and I understand that different can be scary. I continued to show up, and positioned ourselves in a place convenient for others to approach us, but nothing.
After reaching out to a few members, and being rejected continuously, I began to feel that this wasnt our home. Today was confirmation...
The church building is located very near the interstate, and on the way there this morning I saw an elderly homeless woman under the interstate overpass. Very much within view of the church. As a matter of fact, you have to pass her to get to church.
I asked one of the church pastors if there was anyone available to speak to her. I was shocked at the answer I received...
"Oh there are drifters that come and go all the time. You'll see them there often."
Wait... I thought the church was a people. I thought that as followers of Christ, we are to love every human being we come across. Here was a woman, positioned perfectly for that opportunity, and this body of people didn't care. My son and I had walked into the 11am service, and the 9am service had just let out, which meant probably 200 people had passed this homeless woman, yet none stopped.
I couldn't let that happen. I walked out, packed my son back into the van, and parked under the overpass.
I learned that this lady was 67 years old, lost her 18 year old son to drug overdose, lost her mother to colon cancer (she died in her arms), and I held her as she broke down in tears. She told me she hasn't heard the words "I love you" in years. I shared with her how much God loves her, and again she broke down.
Many of you might be reading this wondering why she wont just go to a shelter. Clearly you have never been in her shoes. Shelters take everything you own at check-in, and she had her deceased mothers clothes in her backpack. It was all she had from her mom.
This woman turned many heads, but no one stopped. As 11am service let out, people stared.
I hope with all my heart that the church realizes one day that we are a people, not a building.

Journey is such a wonderful place for families, individuals, friends, colleagues... you name it! We feel so fortunate to call Journey "home" and even if you've "tried church before" I know you'll love the welcoming manor and free coffee :) - - and even better, a chance to save your life!!

Really enjoyed the fellowship this morning and meeting a few of the pastors and members. Everyone was very friendly and I noticed how people hung around after the service and engaged one with the other. It's a given that 8AM worshippers love God and their church. It's even more impressive when they give all indications of loving one another.

Will never attend again. Our visit here made us feel completely on the outside. Pastor and staff were hardly friendly. Very much about who you know here and not about worshipping the Lord. Need to learn to practice what they preach!!

Very non inclusive. Did not feel welcomed at all. Clicky and snobby people. Pastor never did come welcome us and all I get in the mail is books and pamphlets on how I should be giving #moneyhungry.

A church can not help others grow in their faith without their people doing what the bible says and tithing 10% of their earnings Ashton. Have you even looked into where the money goes? How many people are touched with the money we contribute with a pure heart as followers of Christ? I for one have been blessed many times over and want to be part of blessing others and helping them in their journey in getting to know Christ. Journey Church is a church that does not judge, everyone is welcome as it should be and teaches love, respect and hope. The messages equip us with the knowledge we need to be faithful missionaries in this world and helps us each find our gifts that God gave us and use them to make a difference.

We ve been members of Journey Church for a year and a half and we are leaving the church due to their COVID response. Now and years from now, it s important to know how a church responds to crisis. Journey church reopened in the middle of the second wave of the virus (7-12-20) in Colorado and did not require masks in an enclosed indoor space that is maybe the size of our elementary school gym. At first, we were just going to attend online until we felt like it was actually safe to return (live and let live).

Then I saw the photos from reopening Sunday. The pictures show volunteers in masks and no one else. And I realized that my church opened for the sake of the people out there who are refusing to wear masks. The people putting my family at risk.

That is not a church my family will be a part of. I am posting this review for others to make their own decision.

If you are one of those people who doesn t want to wear a mask in the middle of a pandemic because you don t believe in science, Journey is the church for you! If you are a socially responsible person who cares about others, you may want to look elsewhere.

Great church, great people, great pastors! We've been attending for almost 2 years. We felt welcomed from the beginning and have never entered the church without being greeted. Its a good size church, and we are still known by name! The messages are always relevant and encouraging. I was finally able to join a small group and that has been great as well.

No one spoke to me even the people I sat next to. I saw the person who invited me after church and he was really happy to see me not one other person spoke to me it was really awkward and too bad . But mostly sad because I think I can handle it because of my personal relationship with God but I'm just sad for the next person that walks in there that really really needs someone to say hello to them or to talk to them, pray with them...

I was a member of this church for close to 10 years and LOVED it. In the past year or so, things started to change in a way I did not agree with, so I have stopped attending for the moment. I hope others can find God here and I hope to return sometime in the future.
